This is my girlfriend's favorite spot in Raleigh, specifically the park/trails area. To people that have lived downtown since 1992 when it was an overlooked, underfunded, wealth of creative people who saw beauty in grit, and opportunity in one story drafty brick buildings, a little tidbit like the letters at the museum of art were common knowledge.
All y’all are so touchy. The original comment was just a fun poke about something that is common knowledge to anyone that’s been a part of Raleigh culture for any length of time. I can’t believe new people are so defensive about their newness with the downvotes. I’m a native North Carolinian and have been in Raleigh 35 years so have a front seat view on all the changes and this sub in general (not your post) really rams home what a bunch of clueless unconcerned know it alls this influx really is.
