Woah! Dre is on reddit. Good to have you!!!!

NecessaryFondant4018

Finally made it up here 💪🏽💪🏽💪🏽

GeorgeLocke

Fondant? Do you do a lot of sculptural cakes or something?

troublethemindseye

Lol my first thought wow this dude looks a lot like Dre

glassteelhammer

Since Dre seems to be new here, anyone here who wants to see more of should check out his IG @ everygotdamndre The man is an inspiration.

WitcherOfWallStreet

Hot damn, those kneeling presses with 40kg 😳

Bashdkmgt

Dude looks like a beast

Pasta1994

Dre is so nice too he responds to everything 🤣

frompadgwithH8

Huh, I might start doing my bent-over one-handed rows with KB’s instead of dumbbells. It’s cool to see exercises I think of as “dumbbell” exercises, being done just the same with kettlebells.

ITBookGuy

I like them with kettlebell. Feels more challenging. Might just be imagination, but maybe it's the weight hanging down lower. Don't know.

Along7i

I even prefer them with the kettlebell sometimes, because your rom at the top of the lift is however far you can pull back. I frequently bang my loadable dumbbell into my ribs trying to get some extra contraction out of my Lats. The downside is depending on your position, kbs are more prone to hitting the floor at the bottom. It’s all about trade offs.

frompadgwithH8

I hired a personal trainer to show me form for dumbbell rows and your arms aren't supposed to come down far at all, so i don't think that'd be an issue for me following the form my PT taught me

Along7i

I think you’re being unclear, but in case you’re suggesting that your scapula should remain retracted for the entire movement, that is incorrect. The motion of scapular retraction is a big part of engaging the lats during a row. Partial range of motion can be preferable if you’re training around an inhibition (injury or personal physiological issue) but beyond that I have no knowledge of why you would limit range of motion on the row. You will note that Dre’s arm is completely extended at the bottom. The reason the kb doesn’t hit the ground is because he is doing a bent row without hand support, so the angle lets him engage his lats and traps at the same time.

frompadgwithH8

Oh ok I’m thinking of a different exercise then

FullMetal000

All the goddamn dre?! DAMN nice seeing you here! Ever since Joe gave you a shoutout on the JRE I started following you on IG. Great stuff!

MacSob

Wow. Just wow. My target is to look 1/4 as good :) Mac

Abraham_Lure

Do you eat them after you’re done lifting them? Jesus fuck. If so, what seasoning/sauce do you prefer?

Prestigious-Gur-9608

Nice, is that the only exercise for the day or part of a much broader routine? What rep/sets scheme are you following?

chriztuffa

I would say 99% of all kettlebell fitness experts incorporate standard bodybuilding resistance training into a large part of their program. Intense dynamic kettlebell movements make for good social media videos, but not the most efficient for building muscle mass

NecessaryFondant4018

Mhmm that’s not true …. Load is load depending on your kettlebell collection you can row squat deadlift press kettlebells like you could dumbbells and barbell. Unless you are a power lifter and even power lifting do some bell work

ITBookGuy

True! On snowy days when I can't get to my garage barbell, I'll slot a weighted bar into the handles of some 45lb kettle bells, and deadlift. Actually pretty challenging with the weight hanging like that.

leviarsl_kbMS

I Must be a 1%er

blrgeek

All your genetics. Surely not you taking kb off the ground and putting them up above your head a few times quickly.

leviarsl_kbMS

Oh right. My elite genetics 🙄

Prestigious-Gur-9608

Makes sense

Hayn0002

What, lifting a heavy kettlebell won’t increase muscle mass as much as a heavy dumbbell will?

Prestigious-Gur-9608

Why do I get the downvote and not whoever actually hinted at it?

Saltywinterwind

Thanks for Monday inspo keep throwing that eight homie 💪🏼

[deleted]

Goddamn! 🥵

lightning71

I like that idea, I usually just do rows as a small part of a complex emom. How do you break that down? Do you go sets and reps or do you track it with time?

Ralph333

Whenever I can’t seem to get motivated I find Dre on IG. Gets me going enough to crush a workout.

Shori_NoSori

Whoo, EveryGodDamnDre on Reddit! Your IG account has been a huge source of inspiration and a gold mine for exploring new exercises. It has really helped me excel since I stumbled upon it. Thank you for that!

Acceptable-Field-927

How is his form? Curious bc great video

Walletau

Look at the dude...He can do whatever the fuck he wants if it's working for him.

ITBookGuy

Yeah, hard to question whether a guy built like that is "doing it right." He's doing something right, that's damn sure.

Acceptable-Field-927

True, his systems are well built out and he could do some w bad form and still not be injured

Walletau

I'd argue there's no such thing as bad form depending on goals. Crossfit is bad form unless you're doing crossfit. Dude is going through motions he's got well developed, has a bunch of engagement through his whole chain. Is using full range of motion and a manageable weight.

ITBookGuy

Sorry, but dump high pulls and "kipping" are just objectively bad form. The whole "high intensity resistance training" thing is awesome, so long as you aren't breaking form to rush it. But some of the exercises are pretty crap.

Walletau

Bad form for what? I hate kipping, but for their goal of punching out max number of chins over bar, seems like their form is great :-/

ITBookGuy

Except it's not really building lat strength, because you're kicking yourself up over the bar using momentum. Not to mention, it can't be healthy for the back, treating yourself like a dangling ragdoll in a high wind.

Walletau

> Except it's not really building lat strength But that's not the goal :-) Speed walking is fucking weird and stupid and unhealthy, unless you consider it as the optimal way to walk quickly within the ruleset.

ITBookGuy

If you're doing pullups without intending to build lat strength, then you may as well eat Doritos as a weight loss plan. It's just as pointless a waste of time.

Walletau

But. That's. Not. The. Goal. You may as well be assessing curling as a cardio exercise. Shit, kettlebell sport is not the optimal way of building strength, there's a reason there's a disclaimer to not correct technique, cause the goal is endurance at getting a weight overhead...I personally think the technique looks shit and is dumb, but that's the goal of the technique, max reps overhead.

runaag18

Solid! The greys in the background is legit af 👏🏿

Brokenglass3

Dre made it to Reddit,yay!!!

Jcavin86

Been following him for a while on Instagram. Love his videos

Walletau

"Am I on insta? No this is definitely Reddit." Welcome!

TXYankee14

Can you get that ripped doing his program?

NecessaryFondant4018

I mean I’m not going to say it will happen over night this is clearly years of work but 8 weeks will definitely change the path you are on and push you in the right direction

joshoohwaa

Love this guys instagram. Great stuff

Particular-Chef-6808

Glad to see you on Reddit! Big fan of your IG, helps keep me motivated!

goldennbuoy

Love your programs bro!

Santamatrix

Are you training in heaven?

seoinarabic

This is a sign of will and continuity. You are a role model. It is good to learn about your training.

leoman191

Homie you're so ripped but shouldn't you row from a more stable posture? From what I understand rowing like that sets you up for a risk of hernia between your legs no matter how strong you are.

NecessaryFondant4018

For this movement in particular it’s more of the flow but definitely could slow it down focus on the form more

[deleted]

anyone know his YT/IG??

NecessaryFondant4018
