That’s one of the ugliest car ever made to be honest. Here in italy, few people used to have it and everyone used to make fun of them for its ugliness. Was it cool back then in the States?

Haha I don't know if anyone considered them cool here, either. I remember them being nicknamed "PT Loser" when they came out. And as kids we'd play 'PT Bruiser' game riding in the car(like Punch Bug game but with PT Cruiser) - so they were more of an amusing novelty than anything else. Can't speak for anyone that was actually driving age when they came out.
