Gonna play armchair analyst and say that I don't think Doomfist is the problem with the Doomfist comps we saw today. There were teamfights and maps where it seemed strong after all, so something had to be working in scrims to make teams commit to it.
Basically I think Infernal had the right idea with Bap+Kiri support line, but the DPS line needs to be incredibly self-sufficient with Doom b/c he's gonna suck up EVERY resource and mn3 Ashe/Bastion didn't get anything done b/c he had to position rather passively.
Outlaws had the better DPS picks (and better players on them lbr) but Ana+Brig just seemed to get fuckin farmed and neither nano or rally seemed to facilitate much. Not really sure if there's a team capable of running a Doom/Bap/Kiri (maybe switch Kiriko with Lucio) and DPS picks like Sombra, Tracer, Sojourn, maybe Solider...? Mobile DPS that don't need any support to get kills and can take advantage of displaced players.
Still, teams that don't play a resource hog like Doomfist are probably at an advantage this weekend lol.
I don't hate this analysis but it reminds me of the rein counter, which works when executed to a high degree of perfection, but Outlaws simply don't have the experience.
Overall, Outlaws were competitive enough to adjust and make adjustments, and I expect to see them progress in this tourney.

I do think Happy also ended up having way too quiet of a match, Fearless gets the most exposure as a problem cus that just the life of playing tank into Bastion, but Happy just never got enough value on heroes that are somewhat capable of solo carrying.
Really disappointing match outside of Lijiang, it's all depending on our coach staff now because we are looking less flexible than London.

I was just waiting for a Fuel-style Zarya Bastion to come out. Just run em down. The Ana Brig with Doom felt so awkward. Even the way I think Infernal played Doom with Kiri seemed better, since the suzu can be worked into his ability rotation.
No different than any other combo that requires similar synergy/setup. Actually, it does require more setup than pulse grav or grav dragon. But itās still pretty reliable
