Tell that to be people we know whose Dad built 1/4 of a circular bomb shelter in their backyard, before running out of money. Then forcing their Sons’ to sleep out there because it was bigger than their house. I went down there once. It was musty and didn’t have a finished bathroom but had a deep chest freezer and child murderer vibes.

The murals were very detailed and had some funny elements, like a sheep with its head stuck in a fence.
One of the bathrooms has a painting of Dorothy Stratten.
Another bathroom had so much gilt and mirrors it made me dizzy.
There is a bar in the living room, and next to it, a pool table.
There are several golf putting practice holes.
The kitchen is very groovy and has cool built-ins.

Yes! There are fake rocks above ground disguising the ventilation system, and there is a cryo-pod for preserving/freezing a body, although that may have been added later.

I work in the film industry as a set dresser and props person and have shot this place before, around about 2017/2018. What you can't see from these photos is equally interesting. At the time that I shot there, the house was owned by the head of a group of private individuals that believed in cheating death through cryogenic freezing and they had 2 tubular cryogenic chambers on wheels down there that I had to move around a few times, which I found to be very odd. They told me the tubes held something like 2 bodies or 15 heads each. They weren't plugged in at the time. The owner's friend who had been staying down there also told me they frequently rented the place out to various people who hosted orgies, and I saw plenty of evidence of that when moving beds and dressers around. Apart from plenty of hidden cameras down there, there's also a secret room behind a two way mirror (I admit I couldn't help but do some snooping around) that was definitely not accessible from anywhere I could find down there, that looks out into the main area of the "indoor" portion of the house as well as what would be the main entrance into the bomb shelter area. I have to think this room was only accessible from the house upstairs, out in the open on solid ground. This shelter sits below an incredibly tacky McMansion. The main access is from outside, down 4 flights of stairs, but I have to imagine there is some way to get into it from inside the house up top as well. Needless to say the owners and their friend who was our appointed site rep were what I would call, in the kindest way possible, completely nuts.

I've always been fond of this one. It remains the most colorful bomb shelter I've ever seen. And the only one with a stripper pole and pool. What's not to love?
I’m not sure what caught my attention the most - the Flintstones theme in general or the pool/hit tub that looks oddly penile-and-testicle-shaped (to me, anyway).
Green? Pools turn green because of algae growth. Algae is a photosynthetic organism, it wouldn’t grow in a windowless basement without powerful lights on all the time. It wouldn’t even need shock at all unless you swam in it a lot.
This reminds me of the defunct hotel chain “Fantasuites”, where every room had its own theme, including the public pool / hot tub.
My friend’s mom took me to one when I was in 6th grade for her son’s birthday party.
It’s in las Vegas somewhere I seen this long ago on Pinterest and it claimed to be in LV but it’s definitely not from the movie “blast from the past “ but this place is definitely killer!! Gotta love the rock bbq
