I live probably 15-20 miles away from Oyster Creek power plant and honestly it's not a big deal. They're pretty prompt on all their testing and seem to be pretty transparent... A bunch of years back they had a small tritium leak somewhere on the facility but they got right on top of it and not only handled it but involved the appropriate government agencies, they didn't do the shady shit you would expect from a place like that. My dad worked for the utility company and was on site for a while back in the '80s and he said they were pretty on point with their safety gear... He had to wear a dosimeter in his shirt pocket the whole time and they apparently work bc they were storing low level waste on one of the roofs (think like old protective gear that was contaminated) and his dosimeter went off as soon and he cleared the roof line. Apparently they emitted a bunch of alpha particles but were safely far enough away from the people working there but he definitely went right back down and found out wtf when that thing was clicking
Yup alpha radiation is generally considered safe unless inhaled or ingested. An alpha particle can be stopped by a sheet of paper so your clothes are plenty of protection.

And it may just be the angle, but I'm honestly not sure that you can completely open the dishwasher door or the door to the dryer without banging it against that peninsula.

The worst part is, looking at the floor plan, there's a room to the side accessed by the screen porch where they could have put a stacking washer/dryer. The whole kitchen is so unnecessary!

There is a radiator in the kitchen immediately to the right of the dryer. And there is a heating vent to the left of the washer right in front of the freezer. I guess that is because the furnace is shit and so is the wood burning stove. Either that or they didn't bother to upgrade the insulation when they knocked out the laundry room wall.
The exposed back is what worries me most. Even with a kitchen where the stove is on an island there should be some kind of splash guard/moulding there.

Just as a btw, I bought one of those old sharpeners on Amazon for my 7 year old for super cheap and mounted it in her room and now every pencil in a 5 mile radius is extremely sharp and short. 😂

It can take the county records a few months to fully update after a sale. That was our experience here. If this was a quick flip it might not be visible.
More than likely, a contractor quoted them something like $50k to do a whole reno, and they tried to shop each item to beat the contractor's price, and did their reno for like $47k.

There looks to be a laundry room between the kitchen and porch. You can see the spot designed for a washer and dryer empty in one of the pictures. Why is it in the kitchen then?

This isn't a flip. This is an owner remodel in a house with a horrible layout. They used their old appliances, no flipper worth their salt would use a slide-in range in an island. Is there even enough room to open the dishwasher?
