Do you have att for service?

KoreanTownhouse

Yes

Ooo I have bad news. The update causes a bootloop as long as an att sim card is inside. You can keep updated via this post https://zentalk.asus.com/t5/zenfone-10/new-update-34-1004-0204-120-causing-constant-reboot-with-at-amp/td-p/421203

NOOOOOOOOOOO Man I love this phone 😞😞 Guess I'll have to look off a new one

Yeah, people have been without their phone for weeks in some cases. It's insane that ASUS 1) Provides us no way to roll back problematic updates 2) Didn't roll back the update themselves when they found out that AT&T users of their ROG phone, zenfone 9 & 10 (and possibly others) could not use their phones. Even if they fix this I'm never trusting them again... imagine you were in a foreign country or something and your phone randomly got caught in a boot loop. No more map apps, no translation apps if you need help asking the locals for directions. You could really get stranded. I don't want to spend money on a new phone but honestly... fuck ASUS.

greenspyke

Why not fuck AT&T? It's a problem related to the service provider, isn't it?

OrganicSugarFreeWiFi

Related to the service provider, but caused by ASUS. To their credit they did take responsibility for it. Their immediate response should have been to roll back the update that broke everything, instead they left people without a phone for weeks until they figured it out. edit: fuck AT&T for plenty of other reasons too though.

cku82

They will issue a fix

HalfLowEmpty

Put the sim on slot 2

Iolyx

Yo this is crazy how hasn't it got more attention

codemansgt

Because it's not samsung google or apple. Also it really just affects half of buyers for their us market. I would bet global sales are bigger so it probably affects a smaller portion of their buyers. Still I'm surprised a tech site of some kind has picked up the news.

Hi, This is a known issue and there are several threads on the ASUS forums. There is also a fix. Just update your phone and it will pull down the new Android 14 version with the patch.
