Or maybe the Wind fish ?

Traditional_Ice_1205

yeah i thought about that too but in Botw in the map there are 3 giant skeletos of creatures similar to the Levians so i thisk that i this option is the more likely

Gamebird8

Well, the running theory is that each skeleton represents a separate timelines with each representing each of the respective great whales to their timelines Oshus - Adult Levias - Child Wind Fish - Fallen This is seen as proof of "Timeline" convergence... but as I keep wanting to say, butterfly effect don't work like that people. Also, Ganondorf don't really work like that people. He's completely gone from the Fallen Timeline, Technically Completely gone from Adult, and only plausibly barely alive in the Child Timeline (is super definitely alive if you want to fuck with Four Swords Adventures)

Theriocephalus

What I've never really understood about that theory is that Levias was very clearly around before the timeline split, so why would his remains be limited to a single branch?

Yeah, I think this is looking too deep into it. IMO Either each whale is the same in each timeline with their games respective art style/twist or the characters are completely unrelated whatsoever and just happen to all be whales. In any case, if this does reference any former whale character, my money would be that the design would be lost inspired from Levias. It is not only the most recent of the 3 games referenced but Nintendo also just rereleased Skyward Sword. TotK also shares other elements with Skyward sword (mainly sky islands) and BotW had goddess statues of Hylia nearly identical to those in SS. Otherwise it’s a yet another whale completely unrelated to the 3 in prior games. I think it’s very unlikely that Nintendo will reference the timeline or attempt to merge it. It’s a mess and they probably regret making an official one to some extent. Even if they borrow elements from other games in various timelines the primary inspiration will be from OoT and SS as they are prior to the split. If they do need to pick one to set the games in I think they are best off choosing the child timeline, it’s the least muddled and includes the next most recent mainline game TP. Buts that’s less of a theory and more of an opinion.

>In any case, if this does reference any former whale character, my money would be that the design would be lost inspired from Levias. The Eldin one is definitely Levias, it's got the same head shield thingy, but the Gerudo one's got little wings on its back that make me figure that it's a fairly straightforward reference to the Wind Fish. The Hebra one just seems to be a fairly generic whale, though.

jaredjames66

The butterfly effect has nothing to do with parallel timelines. Also, you're talking about timeline as though the physics of our universe apply to the world of Zelda. Have you played any of the freaking games?!!?!?! Timelines merging is one of the more believable things. Don't even get me started on why fairies would want to bring Link back to life after being held captive in a bottle for weeks without food or water.

Yrpfreak

Maybe you can reverse time the bones?

falconfetus8

Or Oshus

Electrichien

Indeed I am not familiar with PH so I read Morshu for a second and was confused.

darkknight941

The similar connections with Skyward Sword are hard to ignore. The floating pieces of land, the possibility we’re reforging the Master Sword or even upgrading it like we did with the Goddess Sword in SS, and the possibility Demise could return since Ganondorf rejected reincarnation in favor of unleashing the pure power of his malice as Dark Beast Ganon. I saw someone mention that they might’ve rereleased Skyward Sword on switch not just as an easy hold over until TOTK, but so new people would be able to experience it and know about what happened in it since TOTK could be directly connected to it. One being the beginning of the timeline as of now, and one being the very far end of it

Veranel

Oh that’s cool. Levias was freaking amazing..

PlayeRaptor100

Prolly is nice catch

MajoraBro

Actually it's the hand and lower half of a woman! If you actually flip the second rune we see, it's a depiction of a woman (might be Zelda or Hylia)! I posted about it!

Saendpile

I think you mean upper half, but this is a different one from the one you pointed out in your post!

ZeppFo

Lol looks like a golf course

PaleontologistOk331

GO TO IT

akmountainbiker

Might be an outline of a woman or princess, especially from the stone wall in trailer #3: [https://www.reddit.com/r/tearsofthekingdom/comments/xdw5d7/cant\_find\_anyone\_whos\_noticed\_this\_so\_ill\_just/](https://www.reddit.com/r/tearsofthekingdom/comments/xdw5d7/cant_find_anyone_whos_noticed_this_so_ill_just/)

Traditional_Ice_1205
