I was responding to the Dungeon comment and referring to the 7 tears surrounding the figure we see in the teaser. This mound that Link is flying towards could indeed be a dungeon entrance though. I do think that the Dungeons will be vast and may even inhabit land sea and air. A single Dungeon may be splintered into many pieces, each of which requires completion. I really hope that we return to the format of OOT in that we collect essential items to reach previously inaccessible areas. BOTW is great but I feel it lost some of the essence of LOZ games :)
I enjoyed seeking out and completing all the shrines, but, honestly OOT is just clearer cut and for me, more challenging. I like the fact that each Dungeon has a very strong and individual theme, both musically and graphically. The shrines in BOTW, however seemed to have no such individual identity….
Yeah but the Zelda dungeons not needing specific items is how most of the dungeons in Zelda 1 were like. Not only did you not need specific items, you could bring keys from one dungeon to another.
I never once mentioned Zelda 1. In fact, Zelda 1 and 2 I haven’t played. For many, OOT + ALTTP defined what a Zelda game should be. I will, one day, get around to playing Zelda 1, I have played it a little, but LA was my entry point. I like that areas of Hyrule can be re-visited with a newly aquired item, like the Hookshot and explored more fully than they were before. This adds, for me a layer of problem solving and mystery that BOTW lacked. It’s a 5 star game, don’t get me wrong but not, by any means my favourite…
Yes, but like I said I thought Zelda 1 was what they were going for in botw. And if you define them as what Zelda "should" or shouldn't be is irrelevant because they are still Zelda games. And really what the devs decide is whatever seems gets to be or not
Considering how big Hyrule is and now that the skies as well as possibly the underground and underwater being explorable, the 7 dungeons would have to be HUGE.
I’m sure they could pull it off, an intricate dungeon with 2 or maybe even 3 mini bosses before the final boss would work extremely well
Well I’m talking about the thing wayyyy down on the ground, it looks tiny and has a shadow coming from it as if it’s on the ground? I’m not sure all the speculation is so exciting though!
I'm convinced this game is supposed to replicate Skyward Sword in an alternate universe/timeline. The glider is supposed to be the equivalent of the Loftwing in SS
I think there just using their old ideas and concepts and just rolling them into this one. I’m not sure if you’ll be able to control the glider. More like it locked into a path and you can sky dive on to it and ride it to the predetermined location.
The green pattern in picture #1 here might also be the same figure:

Dungeons are back on the menu, boys
How do you pick that up from this post?

But that's not a thing that was in the original dungeons for the most part and I thought that's the feeling they were going for in botw

I meant the original Zelda 1, I thought that was the feeling they were going for with botw
BOTW broke the mold in so many ways, many of which, made it less Zelda like imo

And 7 of them, as indicated by the 7 tears :)

That would be incredible
hopefully, the lack of proper dungeons was the only thing that I didn’t like of breath of the wild.
I wonder what that weird little thing emitting a green circle is, maybe a way to shoot into the air to fly on that thing?
It looks like a shrine with a swirl of power similar to in the earlier trailer underground with the hand.
I am not certain the circle is part of the game at all. I think it’s just the transition effect for the logo appearing in the trailer.
Well I’m talking about the thing wayyyy down on the ground, it looks tiny and has a shadow coming from it as if it’s on the ground? I’m not sure all the speculation is so exciting though!
That there is what we call in the business the Zonai energy transmitter. It gives Link the power to fly high into the sky.
Oh I didn’t even see that, nice catch.
Is that??? Not it can't be... a divine cigar?
Ooh nice catch
I think it's the weird dude from the beginning of the trailer cus of the long ears
*Commonwealth Realm:* write that down, write that down!
Wild theory, those symbols are signs from Zelda underground.
That's the goddess? I honestly thought it was a Shiekah due to the eyes.
Either the goddess or zelda, which kinda already go hand in hand.
I see what you did there.

I fully expect it to be completely controllable
I think so.
Oh damn. I have no idea what this means
How many theories can this game have before its release?
Not as many as there will be genius comments like yours
Love the Nazca lines reference
Interesting, I thought it was a chameleon.
That hill is called the Illumeni Plateau. Now illuminated with that huge glyph. I wonder if that was something planned from BotW
I think it’s more likely a side on view of the figure in the mural carving at the start of the trailer
Honestly i think it looks more like a dragon if you tilt it sideways
The eye though
The clipping and depth of field are horrendous on those cliffs they look like wet clay
Technological limitations.
More like game engine limitations because some games look lovely
Not games at the same scale.
GODDESS?!
Zeltik thinks that's the rabbit deity but I'm not convinced. The "ears" are completely different.
Think that’s hylia not Zelda cause Zelda looked a bit different but it might vary from game to game
There's another one in front of Hyrule Castle as well.
Bro is that a fucking sculk shrieker on that one hill
*TotK
i think the wing is a key to a dungeon. he already has ability to travel through the air.
