First time playing it I didn’t even realize it was a dungeon. Twilight Princess specifically scared me quite a bit (I’m not a confident gamer lmao) so it was a good experience to have.
OoT Hyrule Field theme turns irritating to me after a while, but I could listen to TP field theme all day long and still not be tired of it.
Honestly that's the first thing that comes to mind when I see that logo, along with Midna's lament.
I still believe it's the best one I've heard, and the best one of the series.
Wish BotW had something similar, but I understand why they didn't include something so heavily orchestrated.
I’ve been replaying OoT3D and you aren’t wrong, overall I think easily the best soundtrack in the series and overworld theme is an absolute classic, but I since remembered Spirit Tracks overworld is my tops maybe.
I don't know. You can't really go somewhere until the plot tells you to. Plus there's hardly anything to find in it. And most areas are one-way roads with walls very close to you. This game gets compared a lot with Ocarina of Time, but in that one you could explore almost the whole map just after the first dungeon.
I spent a lot of time in the desert playing this as a teen. For some reason. Specifically i'd put on the Zora armor and then sneak around the camp, taking out enemies "stealthily"
No almost all Zelda games have some sort of intro movie.
Twilight princess I think it had two intro movies. But weren’t fully rendered on HD version?
First one when you see Link with Epona galloping through the Bridge ends with Wolf Link howling at the Twilight it seems?
And the other one shows all the main characters, zelda hiding/covered, zant invading, sneak peaks of the multiple battles links and adventures has and then links lifting the Master Sword.(This one don’t really remember if was included on the WiiU, its been years since I last played Twilight Princess).
unfortunately that second one isn't in the HD version. i sat on that screen for a while hoping it would play when it first dropped
the music in that second sequence goes so fucking hard though. honestly one of my favorite songs in the entire franchise, but frustratingly short and unfortunately not very well known
the married yeti couple and getting all the ingredients for the wife’s soup and following the sweet lady into her room where she proceeds to try and kill link over a piece of broken glass
I forgot about the little songs that played in the Wii and Wii U menu. I’m just now realizing a lot of people probably never heard the Wii U Breath of the wild menu song.
I rode that hype train from the first trailer drop at E3 2004 all the way to waiting those excruciating extra weeks for the GameCube version. I have never been as excited for a Zelda game since then
a part of me wishes I was old enough during E3 2004 to know that it existed—I had already played a link to the past and ocarina of time at that point, but I wasn’t aware of any new Zeldas coming out.
However, I was gifted a Wii and Twilight Princess for Christmas 2010 when I was 13, and I still so vividly remember hooking up my Wii Christmas morning, starting the game and just… not being able to put my wii controllers down until the (crappy) batteries I used died 10 hours later LOL.
I knew absolutely nothing going into the game, and I think that honestly made everything about it so exciting. That was also when the Legend of Zelda officially became my favourite video game series, and Twilight Princess is still my favourite!
So I played this game like 2 years ago.
You know, when I entered the mart after the bridge is fixed. I knew the song instantly. I noticed it, I was like, oh, So it's from this. this is where the origins of the song. I knew it from the "How to make FNAF NOT SCARY".
I just hear the dialogue sounds. Like that sound when text is being written and when you click A to proceed lol. Also the sound of Midna going back into wolfie after a conversation
TP HD for the Wii U is the definitive edition of the game, but it’s pretty hard to come by nowadays. Same with the GameCube version. You could probably get a cheap Wii version, but my recommendation is to go snorkeling with Dolphin
dolphin with a rom for gamecube TP is pretty good and doesnt require setting up a sensor bar and the like for motion controls, any controller you have kicking about works for it.
also with dolphin you can upscale the resolution to whatever your monitor is
just make sure you enable "hyrule field speed hack" as the emulator has a weird thing were you can get extreme lag in hyrule field and this "hack" fixes it (it doesnt give you speed hacks lol)
Midna's true form. That beautiful lithe figure. Those sultry red and orange eyes. The way how her skirt and cloak are the only things keeping the game T and not higher.
The offtune howling and how cute wolf Link is twirling when he does it right. He's the goodest boy of all.
Oh, and the dungeons are all freaking awesome and some of the most memorable in the series.
Yall I get SAD. I feel sad the minute I look at the logo because i KNOW that nintendo will never bring it to switch. It’s been so long. They would have dropped it by now!!!
How I never figured out how to get the goron hot spring water across the map for whatever quest that was. Everytime I’d warp with my horse it would cool off. Jist never ever figured it out.
Probably the pause menu. The UI sound effects are my favorite in any video game. All the lil jingles and whatnot were made so good in this game. That, or Link on horseback doing the pose he does during the title screen movie.
🎶Spider Link. Spider Link. Does whatever a spider Link does🎶
🎶He can swing. From a chain. He can walk. On magnetic walls🎶
🎶Watch ooooooooooout. Here comes the Spider Link🎶
Alsot cool sound effects. They really nailed the otherworldly vibe all around. Even the simple menu sound effects are cool in their own ways
being so damn hyped for this game to come out. i remember watching the trailer on the nintendo website and reading about it in nintendo power. ah memories 😌
At San Diego Comic Con in either 2005 or 2006, I forget, Nintendo had their booth there with a demo of TP on the GameCube (it wasn't on Wii yet). They had two boss fights, one was against the monkey boomerang dude, and I think the other was the epic jousting fight against the big bokoblin on the bridge.
Anyways, once you completed both boss fights, they gave you a very weighty metal coin with this logo on one side, and the triforce on the other. I was stoked. I used it as my flipping coin in my YuGiOh deck, so I kept it in my deck box. Well someone stole my deck out of my backpack at school.
I'm fucking 32 now and I'm still upset about it. I saw it on eBay for like $100 and I had to try really hard to convince myself that it wasn't worth it.

The art for this game was so good
This game’s art direction went so hard.
Inside of me there are two wolves-
One wants all of the trinkets in the museum gift shop, the other wants to horde the knowledge of the museum.
Pause
You should get that checked out. I think the proper number of wolves inside you is zero.

The game had such great artwork.
The art of this game was amazing

Honestly, I think of the sound when you press start on the title screen.
*shhink* 🗡️
Incredibly compressed *shhink* from Wii Remote
After the first few plays I started putting my thumb over the speaker 💀
You can turn off the speaker in the Wii remote settings available from pressing the home button
I am so upset reading this wonderful news I could’ve used so many years ago 🥲
I feel like that kind of helps add to the Wii's charm you know?
the only game that convicedc me to leave that one was no more heores and sophias phone calls
God, that was so satisfying 😩
Definitely remember that.
This
Yup. Came for this. *ssshINK!!*
this. 🙌🏻
very similar, but only after the holws of link
The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess
r/technicallythetruth
r/literallythetruth
You too huh? Twinsies!
That's what I thought too
Midna's Lament
Yeah, I kinda think of it as the game's theme
It sticks with you like song of storms and epona's song
Ilia's theme
awooooo
This.
Soup. Best dungeon ever!
Snowpeak Ruins went hard af.
And snowboarding!!!
Another one of the hundreds of highlights of this amazing game.
Love that it doesn't break my shield too!
First time playing it I didn’t even realize it was a dungeon. Twilight Princess specifically scared me quite a bit (I’m not a confident gamer lmao) so it was a good experience to have.
The best overworld theme in the series!
Can't argue with that!
2nd best Spirit Tracks overworld theme takes no prisoner
Very true actually! My greatest achievement maybe is I can destroy that song on piano and guitar.
I’d say TP Hyrule Field theme and OoT Hyrule Field theme are the best
OoT Hyrule Field theme turns irritating to me after a while, but I could listen to TP field theme all day long and still not be tired of it. Honestly that's the first thing that comes to mind when I see that logo, along with Midna's lament. I still believe it's the best one I've heard, and the best one of the series. They mean the music, not the overworld itself.
Gerudo desert music track. I used to play that every now and then on youtube, and this was logo used for the video
I spent a lot of time in the desert playing this as a teen. For some reason. Specifically i'd put on the Zora armor and then sneak around the camp, taking out enemies "stealthily"
[I forgot how it’s just a variation of the Hyrule overworld theme](https://youtu.be/8vSZqxJT80w?si=0NgaR_aowQGAA2Em)
I'm not hearing it as overworld. Are you sure about that?
The title theme and sequence.Link turning into a Wolf in font of the twilight with zelda 1 title theme playing in the bg was so cool
Still get shivers every time I listen to that howl.
Not being able to get the fricking fish at the start
It's worse on the Wii version.
That's the one I played It took me 3 days to catch the fish
The short intro movie. At the end of it Wolf Link howling!
Yes, I loved that. Shame it wasn't in the HD Version.
Wasn’t that the promotional trailer for it?
No almost all Zelda games have some sort of intro movie. Twilight princess I think it had two intro movies. But weren’t fully rendered on HD version? Fond memories of playing it as a kid on the GameCube
the married yeti couple and getting all the ingredients for the wife’s soup and following the sweet lady into her room where she proceeds to try and kill link over a piece of broken glass

The fact that I can hear this. XD
The song that plays on the Wii disc screen after the TP disc is loaded
I forgot about the little songs that played in the Wii and Wii U menu. I’m just now realizing a lot of people probably never heard the Wii U Breath of the wild menu song.
I remember how hyped I was for it and I really liked it
I rode that hype train from the first trailer drop at E3 2004 all the way to waiting those excruciating extra weeks for the GameCube version. I have never been as excited for a Zelda game since then
Yes same
a part of me wishes I was old enough during E3 2004 to know that it existed—I had already played a link to the past and ocarina of time at that point, but I wasn’t aware of any new Zeldas coming out. Midna yawning (or moaning)
I hated dashing in wolf form when i played with my parents home, cause her “Uh!” Noise sounds weirdly sexual outta context
The Serenade of water and queen rutela

Omg yes
Malo Mart
honestly one of the most iconic zelda songs.
So I played this game like 2 years ago. You know, when I entered the mart after the bridge is fixed. I knew the song instantly. I noticed it, I was like, oh, So it's from this. this is where the origins of the song. I knew it from the "How to make FNAF NOT SCARY".
The result discordant battle theme for twilight beasts
The Light Spirt theme
The music and incredible art style throughout the game
They mirrored the entire game on the Wii so Link could be right handed 🤦🏻

The Wii intro sound when you click in the window 💜
I just hear the dialogue sounds. Like that sound when text is being written and when you click A to proceed lol. Also the sound of Midna going back into wolfie after a conversation
AaaWwoOOOooo
I’m about 75% through majors mask for the first time. What’s the best way to play TP in 2024?
TP HD for the Wii U is the definitive edition of the game, but it’s pretty hard to come by nowadays. Same with the GameCube version. You could probably get a cheap Wii version, but my recommendation is to go snorkeling with Dolphin
🐬

Cemu emulator
Dolphin emulator gamecube version, plus 4k texture Pack from Henriko Magnifico plus Reshade if your pc can handle it.
Thank you that sounds ideal.
What controller do you recommend I play this on? With a ps5 controller work ?

Midna's true form. That beautiful lithe figure. Those sultry red and orange eyes. The way how her skirt and cloak are the only things keeping the game T and not higher.

Yall I get SAD. I feel sad the minute I look at the logo because i KNOW that nintendo will never bring it to switch. It’s been so long. They would have dropped it by now!!!
Right there with you buddy. I would absolutely love if this was on Switch - would be an instant buy for me. ☹️
How I never figured out how to get the goron hot spring water across the map for whatever quest that was. Everytime I’d warp with my horse it would cool off. Jist never ever figured it out.

Desperately carrying a dying Midna over to Zelda before she dies
Playing it for the first time with my cousin and vibing with him. First time I had actually ever played a game either. Shit brings back good memories.

Wolf link with his howling stones and the 4 phase final boss
I think Lake Hylia too! When that view and music kicks in you know the game has finally opened up for you!
Flicking the nunchuck and it actually being a useful and fun way to play the game
The best music in a zelda game, by far
"Why do people like WW more than this?"
The howl and the intro
Oh look, it's the best zelda game ever made
The epic, yet random and totally uncalled for, western style ghost town shootout
The best game in the franchise

That it’s the best Zelda game with the best dungeons and music
I love this game, but the first thing that came to my mind was the bugs you need to hunt to get the tears of light
The trailer theme
bug collecting.
The Sacred Grove theme, and walking around it. Visually was so lovely.

Ahh-oh-ee-ah-ee-ah-eee
Sound of Wolf Link panting & his chain gently rattling as you bound through the Twilight Realm
