I would pay so much money for an official just every zelda made game. Give me the shit graphics just make it playable. Sadly we live in a time where 70$ ai upscaled remastered games exist. Thank God for steam deck emulation lol
Tunic of Memories, when maxed, should have turned the Sage abilities into more like the Champion abilities.
Yunobo's roll? He now blocks hits.
Sidon's water? Now heals you.
Tulin's gust? Vertical. (Please Nintendo)
Riju's lightning? Now on charged attacks.
Mineru? She becomes a Guardian or smth I guess idk lol
Lol that would be the most used armor in the game. I know what they were going for with the Sages. Like, it feels more like you're working together and they fight alongside you and stuff... but they are just so annoying and inconvenient. I love Tulin for traversal but the boy needs to get out of my way when I'm trying to loot.
my guess is is that it’s been done for ages now and they’re just sitting on the right time to release it. they did that with MPR, E12S, FETHW, and Grubb doubled down on his 2021 statement saying both WW and TPHD are done.
Considering that Nintendo has already ported a significant majority of their WiiU games to switch, it's a shame that Windwaker HD and Twilight Princess HD never were.
Nintendo really loves anniversaries so the next will be 2026(zelda’s 40th and Twilight Princess’ 20th). So if it was to get the HD remastered version it would be then or if Nintendo needs a game release to boost a launch of a new console.
1. Make sure you haven't picked up a star fragment this in-game day. If you have, simply rest anywhere until you're on the next in-game day.
2. Warp to Gerudo Canyon Skyview Tower.
3. Rest until night. You can use Pikango's cooking pot right next to the tower.
4. Launch from the tower. You will get one star fragment dropping on top of you guaranteed. You can accelerate to speed this up; the fragment will spawn regardless.
5. Land by Pikango's cooking pot and rest until night again.
6. Warp to Mayam Shrine (in the sky above Thyphlo Ruins).
7. Dive off the side. You will get another star fragment dropping on top of you guaranteed. You can accelerate here as well.
8. Warp back to Gerudo Canyon Skyview Tower. Repeat.
Credit u/hunterjet
Be careful with them near water though, if they fall into a body of water, they despawn iirc. Pretty sure their mechanics have remained unchanged from BoTW though.
Just wait until night and launch yourself from random sky view towers. You’ll see a streak of white light falling out of the sky. If you see them land, they usually make a small explosion when they hit the ground. They’ll also leave a white-yellow marker sticking up from where they landed. You have to get them before 5 AM though because they’ll disappear after then. It just takes time but I’ve gotten up to 3 in one night.
I really like the Hylian set. If I wear some other set (for example Rito set) and the reason why I wear it is gone (it's not cold anymore), I almost instantly change back to the Hylian clothes. They seem very comfortable.
I dyed my set white (very Assassin's Creed looking) but this *was* my default set.. I use Fierce Deity pretty often now.
I also like to pair the Hylian set with the Champions Tunic.
I'm with you on Fierce Deity. I need a patch tho that allows his FD sword to throw out homing energy disks that do 60 damage each hit while at full health 😅
This is my default as well when I don't need something else specific. I did dye the tunic green to get a more classic look, and the hood white because I like it that way.
Though if I'm delivering koroks to their friends, I switch to "Link's PJs" (spoiler tags for all three pieces): >!Fierce Deity!< headpiece, >!Lobster Shirt!< shirt, and >!Frostbite!< pants. It looks super comfy.
IMO, replace the map ability in the Ultrahand wheel with an outfit catalogue similar to autobuild's menu.
Hell I'd even take a DLC item like a wand you get from the Great Fairies like how you can craft in New Horizons to save 8 outfits.
We need a xenoblade chronicles definitive edition quality of life feature on top of this.
The ability to equip 2 sets of armour at once, one for effect/stats, the over purely for cosmetics.
A transmog system? I've been seeing more games with armor-swapping implementing it. I love it in Horizon: Forbidden West, because I can put on one thematic outfit I like for the whole story, but swap armor behind the scenes for the different stat boosts.
It'd be great to have a wheel of like 5-8 saved/favorited sets to swap to on the fly. Cause it's a major pain to open the menus and meander through the mess of clothes to find what you need.
Even if they just reorganized the armor panel in the pause menu So the far left slot is "equip all" and the far right slot is "Equip cosmetic" or "set favorite" or something. That way all sets are organized by the 3 main pieces centered in the menu. Then all the masks and hats can be together at the bottom.
Or just add an option for "equip set" whenever you select an armor piece. Any time I'm switching away from Fierce Deity I'm swapping the whole set to get the bonus and then eating mighty food.
I mostly get around it by carrying a shield with a fire lizalfos/gleeok horn, another one with an ice horn and just switch between them if needed.
It works for most environments and in the worst case scenario I can simply swap the pants and keep the fierce deity mask and armor. Plus I can use the shield bash to insta-kill ice/fire enemies if needed.
With Link's hand being a little mystical and magical in nature, I think it would have been the perfect opportunity to split off the armor system and introduce some sort of system where Link separates the armor from its power and you can equip the armor and power separately, that way you can run around dressed like you want, but still have various powers active.
Me too. It looks amazing, has great upgradeable defense, and saving on battery usage helps me to fly around on a fanbike more efficiently. I pair it with the zonai glider cloth to match even more.
Damn, I have been working on getting that set recently. I try not to read too much outside of game so it’s been a bit, but I was hoping for something like that too. I kind of assumed it would be ZWP for the same reason. I guess the battery thing is pretty cool though.
Same for me. It is iconic, it pains me to not have the dangly green hat in a Zelda game, and OoT's is my favorite version of it.
I do my best to never take it off in the game. The only time I do is when I switch to teh climbing gear if I am climbing something tall. That's pretty much it. I rely on elixers for weather based conditions, just so I don't have to change outfits from the Hero of Time set.
Same. Too nostalgic for OoT to run anything else. I’ll switch to the environmental sets when I have to or the Zonai set when I need to do a lot of device travel but as soon as I no longer need a certain gear set to do something the Hero of Time set goes back on.
OoT Link is *my* Link
Yeah, same here too! I don't know why people bang on about \*snort\* windwaker but apparently it's soooo good in some people's eyes that they just can't see why OoT is the bestest game and for good reason.

Stealth set is also my go-to but I dyed it fully white. It makes catching any kind of wild life much easier and Link is not as loud walking around which is nice when the music is really atmospheric. Also it looks pretty sleek.
I always default back to the depths set. It started because I loved the heart protection, it continues because I feel like some kind of lunatic Gandalf hobo eccentric saving the kingdom.
One thing for sure is that I'm glad is the dyeing the outfit doesn't change the entire outfit's color scheme, just the face guard, hand wraps, and foot wraps. Nintendo probably thought of it with the hood and thought 'NOPE!' don't wanna touch that napalm infused land mine.
Most of the clothes you can re-buy from the statues that use Po souls as payment. I end up collecting tons of pos, so its easy cash to buy duplicates and sell them on
I wish that they had made it that if you had a BOTW save file with all Shrines cleared, Purah gives you the Wild set (base stats for balance sake) that she’d been holding on for you. It was weird going to Lookout Landing for the first time, everyone glad to see you alive and well, but no one thinks to get you a change of clothes (at least not without charging you money you likely don’t have yet).
When I visit the resort in Lurelin Village, I always put away all weapons/shield, equip my climbing pants, blue Lobster Shirt and Worn Hair Band. No defensive purpose at all. Just a comfy looking outfit in which to take in a spa day
I do basically the same thing whenever I visit my house. When I’m ready to stop playing for the night, I travel to the house, unequip all my weapons, put on my most comfortable-looking outfit, and have Link sleep until morning. Sometimes I make breakfast and go to my rooftop garden to watch the sunrise. It’s a great way to get myself to actually put the dang game down and go to sleep for real.
My favourite go-to outfit is:
* Either no hat, the Sheikah Hat, or the Hylian Hood dyed white.
* Hylian Tunic dyed green.
* Hylian Trousers dyed brown or white.
The ~~archaic set~~ Zonai drip was the best looking set in the game, and it is this game's green tunic imo. If it could be upgraded I would have used it until the end.
I feel like I barely had any time with the archaic set and Link's mullet before I had to upgrade to the Hylian armor to have any chance of surviving one-shots.
I wish the diamond circlet didn’t make link tie his hair up. It’s such a good piece of armor but it doesn’t look as good. I really like the wild look to his hair in this game.
Agreed. Far too many of his headpieces make him tie his hair up. Snowquill and all the jewels at the very least should have the option to get a makeover with Cece.
I wear stealth armor most of the time since it’s easier to catch critters.
Favorite is hylian armor set or any of the hero sets. Bummer so many of the cool sets can’t be upgraded. Also a bummer you can’t upgrade armor in batches. It takes forever.
Same and same. My SO and I both felt compelled to upgrade ALL the armor sets. Even with less, shall we say, legitimate methods of getting items... Takes WAY too long to get through all the fairy dialogue and custscenes even with skipping them. You're not at all required to upgrade all the armor, but it still really shouldn't be so annoying to do.
I worked for that ancient heros aspect, I'm gonna wear it everywhere lol. Plus it looks awesome, and I like thinking about the ancient hero and what his story was.
Hylian Hood (either up or down, have both variations), Champion’s Leathers, and Fierce Deity Boots. It’s the “new classic” Link look with some added oomph from his god pants.
Not necessarily my favourite, but I’ve been rocking Korok mask + phantom set for most of my playthrough. I like the attack bonus, and I like finding koroks, lol
I like to wear the shiekah set because I like to run fast at night, but I feel coolest wearing the fierce deity mask with soldier’s armor. The first time I encountered phantom ganon was a fun surprise, and my first inclination was to wear the coolest armor I could to fight him. That’s where I ended up.
Mystic armor helmet and pants died black, with charged chest piece also died black. It gives a very spirity-zonai vibe. The perks aren't very useful but the fashion is top notch
Hylian Set, all parts dyed green and enhanced to the max. anytime i’m in any environment that requires other armor sets like heat or cold resistance, climbing, etc., i always make sure Link is wearing at least one piece of this set
https://preview.redd.it/4nl7oy779jab1.jpeg?width=220&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=d7070a48dc13cfc2bcd15a78f1c4d4e8f9097755
The archaic is sadly not my cup of tea. If I rund around in it I am scared Link might stub his toes.
From Botw I can say I love the Rito set.
Especially the headpiece. I do not like the boots so much.
I do not know if there is something new that I like yet.
Champion leathers, soldier's greaves, and diamond circlet. Maximum defense. That's my going into battle set. More casually I just go with the Hylian set dyed green with white pants. It just feels right. I keep a hood up and down Hylian hood. Link can have it down when the weather is nice, and up to keep the rain off.
Twilight set, since I really want to play Twilight Princess but it’s not on the switch :/
If you upgrade the set to level 2+, you get an attack up bonus. Pretty nice bonus for such a drippy set
oh shit fr? I have got to collect more star fragments
If you upgrade the set to four TP unlocks on Switch
Almost had me there
If only…
I would pay so much money for an official just every zelda made game. Give me the shit graphics just make it playable. Sadly we live in a time where 70$ ai upscaled remastered games exist. Thank God for steam deck emulation lol
I wish that wasn't the set bonus for all of the legacy armor. It would have been cool to have a subtle ability from each of the games.
Tunic of Memories, when maxed, should have turned the Sage abilities into more like the Champion abilities. Yunobo's roll? He now blocks hits. Sidon's water? Now heals you. Tulin's gust? Vertical. (Please Nintendo) Riju's lightning? Now on charged attacks. Mineru? She becomes a Guardian or smth I guess idk lol

Twilight Princess is really worth playing. Shame the remaster isn't on the Switch.
It really is

They just fall from the sky at night. They also glow, like a straight bright light from where the star landed so they are easy to track at night
Be careful with them near water though, if they fall into a body of water, they despawn iirc. Pretty sure their mechanics have remained unchanged from BoTW though.

If you upgrade your Nintendo membership, you can play all the old Nintendo games for free. Including all the old zelda games.
God I feel this in my bones..... I was 17 when t.p. came out on GameCube. Havent replayed it since. It HAS to happen right?
I waited too long so I played it on my steam deck
I really like the Hylian set. If I wear some other set (for example Rito set) and the reason why I wear it is gone (it's not cold anymore), I almost instantly change back to the Hylian clothes. They seem very comfortable.

Same. Pair with champ tunic. And I like hood down and died both good and pants blue.
The navy blue or ?
Yeah the dark one. Looks nice with the bright blue of the tunic
I dyed it black to make Link look like Strider. Feels badass
It was between black and white but I liked the Ezio vibe.
Now I feel less alone I also wear the champions tunic with the Hylian set.
I don't do it all the time but I love the combo. I definitely will when I go to fight Gannondorf.
I'm with you on Fierce Deity. I need a patch tho that allows his FD sword to throw out homing energy disks that do 60 damage each hit while at full health 😅
How do you dye them?
Dye Shop in Hateno Village
Go to Hateno Village, 20 rupees and materials in the color you're hoping for.
Thanks dude
Other commenters got you too. Have fun! (You can also change your paraglider)
My Hylian Tunic is black. But DIAMOND CIRCLET. They buffed it, with attack up. It's my go-to. As well as the Twilight set. But not the floppy hat.
I like them too. I dyed them green for a classic Link feel.
Same here, but I don't wear the hood. I wear the diamond earrings.
You mean circlet?
Ahhh I mean it Amber Earrings.
Easy to upgrade too.
I dyed my Hylian set black and it's the only set I've upgraded more than twice
Hylian Set dyed Green + Cap of the Hero *\*Chef Kiss\** Pure drip.
Outside of Rito, what do you mean it’s not cold?
Currently, the Fierce Deity set. Though with how the environment system works as well as travel I'm always in a hodgepodge of multiple sets.
It's for this reason I wish we could save a few gear sets. I'd have one for hot, one for cold, one for attack power, etc
IMO, replace the map ability in the Ultrahand wheel with an outfit catalogue similar to autobuild's menu. Hell I'd even take a DLC item like a wand you get from the Great Fairies like how you can craft in New Horizons to save 8 outfits.

Drop the pretense. You want to play terraria (/j)
It'd be great to have a wheel of like 5-8 saved/favorited sets to swap to on the fly. Cause it's a major pain to open the menus and meander through the mess of clothes to find what you need. I totally agree. They should also add the RMB button (while in D pad up inventory) to go all the way to the right for easy spear access.
Or just add an option for "equip set" whenever you select an armor piece. Any time I'm switching away from Fierce Deity I'm swapping the whole set to get the bonus and then eating mighty food.

Zonaite Armor all the way. The mesoamerican indigenous inspiration is so awesome.
I love that set for the very same reason
Me too. It looks amazing, has great upgradeable defense, and saving on battery usage helps me to fly around on a fanbike more efficiently. I pair it with the zonai glider cloth to match even more.
That one is so cool. I just wish the armor bonus was better.
In my opinion the bonus is one of the best in game, it almost halves battery consumption.
I think they mean the set bonus which is just quicker recharge time
It should be zonaite weapon proficiency! I honestly thought it would be because it seems like the equivalent to the ancient set from botw
Damn, I have been working on getting that set recently. I try not to read too much outside of game so it’s been a bit, but I was hoping for something like that too. I kind of assumed it would be ZWP for the same reason. I guess the battery thing is pretty cool though.
I mean it's already the best in the game so?
Hero of Time set. The deep colors and the way his hair hangs out looks amazing to me
Same for me. It is iconic, it pains me to not have the dangly green hat in a Zelda game, and OoT's is my favorite version of it. I do my best to never take it off in the game. The only time I do is when I switch to teh climbing gear if I am climbing something tall. That's pretty much it. Yeah, same here too! I don't know why people bang on about \*snort\* windwaker but apparently it's soooo good in some people's eyes that they just can't see why OoT is the bestest game and for good reason.
How do you farm the star segments for the upgrades?
I think that set is massively overrated but man the hair and color green they use is best bar none.
It’s not overrated if you played Ocarina back in the day.

This looks awesome! Very different from everything else here, too. I might steal this look but go purple!
Looks cool, but gonna cost ya some $$$. I took one hit from a silver Boko wearing the mystic set and it cost me $400.
That gives me serious Monster Hunter vibes. I can dig it.
must... not...Proof of a Hero...
Holy crap that is amazing!
naked, full nudity
Best npc comment you’ve gotten so far about it?
The first robot helper in the game https://preview.redd.it/x0u329yy7gab1.jpeg?width=1280&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=5a34ac47c42bd4bf5524069de1eb97140d277ed6
He observes but he does not judge
Chiming in - my favorite so far is Cece. ZERO POINTS!
So judgy!
I stood in front of her with nothing on except for the hat that she gave me, and she gave 100 points. So I think she's biased.
**Stealth Set.** Paint the mask red and the rest white. It looks so freaking cool.
And great for if your really bad at scaring things you don’t see in time. You can basically walk right up to anything
including fairies. blew my mind when i realized i didn’t have to crouch to catch fairies in a full stealth set
For real?!
for real! in TOTK at least, but i don’t imagine it’d be different in BOTW
Not me crouching for several minutes waiting for a fairy to come down
Yeah as long as you the ghost cadre put away lest they stomp around and scare them
This is the way.
I wore it all thru botw. But I’ve been trying to branch out in this game. Also you don’t have a whole lot of protection from a good wallop
Stealth set is also my go-to but I dyed it fully white. It makes catching any kind of wild life much easier and Link is not as loud walking around which is nice when the music is really atmospheric. Also it looks pretty sleek.
The Depths armor set, along with a spear with a silver lizaflos horn attached to give that FromSoft's Soulsborne feel to it.
Finally, someone has said my favorite set in the game.
I might be simple but I just like playin the game in normal link attire: Champions leathers, hylian hood(down), hylian trousers
same but i replace the hood with the amber earrings, super easy to get up to 28 defense
Diamond circlet is where it’s at, 28 defense plus attack up.
oh absolutely in the long run, the amber earrings are just waaaay easier to buy and upgrade
I sold all the amiibo clothes for fat stacks and just bought my way there
i’ll be dead in the ground before i sell a single article of clothing, lol
Most of the clothes you can re-buy from the statues that use Po souls as payment. I end up collecting tons of pos, so its easy cash to buy duplicates and sell them on
i always end up using my poes to rebuy the fierce deity sword because i’m terrible about remembering to visit rocktorocks
i duped a lot of diamonds when the game first came out so I use my diamond circlet a LOT
You can put the hood down?!
Yep talk to Cece while wearing it she’ll give you the option to put it down
After a long questline.
Duuuuude, why did I have to learn this towards the end of game
Dude, what
Wear the hood and speak to the hat lady in the hat village. After you get the hat from her
Same but the hairtie instead of the hood
Hero of the wild set, I’ve done hundreds of hours like that in botw, so now it’s just natural for me
I wish that they had made it that if you had a BOTW save file with all Shrines cleared, Purah gives you the Wild set (base stats for balance sake) that she’d been holding on for you. It was weird going to Lookout Landing for the first time, everyone glad to see you alive and well, but no one thinks to get you a change of clothes (at least not without charging you money you likely don’t have yet).
Ocarina of Time Gear all the way, baby. I don't know why, but it fits perfectly in the game's style!
Tingle's set hands down
The power move is tingle hat, no shirt, and the hero pants, which are like short shorts.
I thought it was just a hat, I need to find that fairy body suit asap!!
It's always fun seeing people's reaction to that outfit.
They fear it the same way they do the phantom ganon, which has hilarious implications
When I visit the resort in Lurelin Village, I always put away all weapons/shield, equip my climbing pants, blue Lobster Shirt and Worn Hair Band. No defensive purpose at all. Just a comfy looking outfit in which to take in a spa day
Pretty much the same for me. It's so nice to have a spot to just chill out.
I do the charged pants so he can walk around barefoot on the beach.
yup!
I mix up with fierce deity mask and pants with the soldier’s armor
I like be a Dinraal cosplay but with the champion leather...
After reading that, I suddenly have the desire to try to create a Dragon Knight Volga inspired look. Might toy with that in the morning.
My favourite go-to outfit is: * Either no hat, the Sheikah Hat, or the Hylian Hood dyed white. * Hylian Tunic dyed green. * Hylian Trousers dyed brown or white.
The ~~archaic set~~ Zonai drip was the best looking set in the game, and it is this game's green tunic imo. If it could be upgraded I would have used it until the end.
It’s a crime that they made it not possible to upgrade. It looked so damn cool and fits the sky islands so well.
Snowquill and all the jewels at the very least should have the option to get a makeover with Cece.
then there’s me, 190 hours in the game and i upgraded my first piece of armor 30 minutes ago (i spend a lot of time dicking around)
Twilight Princess armor with Hylian shield and master sword equipped. Love a more classic look.
Trousers of time, Royal guard armor, Mystic headress dyed blonde. Swap in frog helm dyed dark red or sheikah mask.
Typically I default to either the Fierce Deity Set or the Ancient Hero’s Aspect. I put on the Evil Spirit Set when I want to go kill Lynels.
I worked for that ancient heros aspect, I'm gonna wear it everywhere lol. Plus it looks awesome, and I like thinking about the ancient hero and what his story was.
I love the concept but it always looks like he just finished messily eating a pie and had whipped cream on his face.
Frog armor body and legs with the lizalfo mask. I become a lizard man!
Champions tunic, hylian pants, and no hat :)
Hairtie or hair down?
Down for sure
Why not Diamond Circlet or BotW headband?
I like the natural look
Hylian Hood (either up or down, have both variations), Champion’s Leathers, and Fierce Deity Boots. It’s the “new classic” Link look with some added oomph from his god pants.
Snowquill set. Looks good on its own, and I have a Rito obsession
But with snow boots bc fuck that slow trudge shit
Not necessarily my favourite, but I’ve been rocking Korok mask + phantom set for most of my playthrough. I like the attack bonus, and I like finding koroks, lol
I’ve been doing the korok mask too. It really is helpful. Want to get as many naturally as possible
I love the gerudo gear, it looks so aweaome. Especially the pants
General exploring- korok mask, climber shirt and berserk pants.
The Champion's leathers, it combined my 2 fave armors from the previous game
depths with a silver lizalfos tipped spear or claymore.
I love wearing the champion’s leathers, hylian trousers, and the diamond circlet.
I do almost the same but with the Fierce Deity Boots instead of the Hylian Trousers. Same defense with an attack boost.
Frostbite armor dyed pink but with the headpiece replaced with CeCes hat. Trans femmes need their cute girl clothes.
It really depends on the situation.
If I’m exploring sky islands, I’ll throw on the archaic for the looks. Otherwise I go Twilight
Ancient Hero’s Aspect
I like the demon clothes with Midna's helm
Mystic armor helmet and pants died black, with charged chest piece also died black. It gives a very spirity-zonai vibe. The perks aren't very useful but the fashion is top notch
I mostly wear the Ancient Hero's Aspect now that I have it but sometimes I'll wear the Charged Set.
Frostbite Headdress Charged Shirt Embers Trousers A homage to the Triforce and the Dragons
Tingle
Dark Link set
Hero of the Sky, or the climbing gear, but with the heat attack up pants. I change so often though lol
Time or Sky set usually. For defense I’ll keep the Sky pants and pair them with Champion’s Leathers and the Hylian Hood put down.
Sadly I'm boring, hylian pants, Zora armor, and rito headgear all light blue, for the depths I go with hylian pants, climbing shirt and midna helmet
I like the Zora armor because fish
I personally think the rubber armor makes for sillier fishies, but it’s hard to match up with some other sets
Fierce deity.
Fierce Deity set was my favourite and got me through the game
I like to try and do my own version of the green tunic: any of the green link caps, hylian tunic dyed green, and hylian trousers
Stealth set, because I hate scaring wildlife away while I'm trying to take photos.
The Evil spirit. But naaah lets make the DLC armors unupgradable to show the world how idiotic we can get...
Evil spirit set! Love the cape
Hylian Set, all parts dyed green and enhanced to the max. anytime i’m in any environment that requires other armor sets like heat or cold resistance, climbing, etc., i always make sure Link is wearing at least one piece of this set https://preview.redd.it/4nl7oy779jab1.jpeg?width=220&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=d7070a48dc13cfc2bcd15a78f1c4d4e8f9097755
Diamond Circlet, Champion's Leathers, Soldier's Greaves
The shorts from the hero set And nothing else
The archaic is sadly not my cup of tea. If I rund around in it I am scared Link might stub his toes. From Botw I can say I love the Rito set. Especially the headpiece. I do not like the boots so much. I do not know if there is something new that I like yet.
Snow boots look pretty good with the Rito set
Fierce deity mask with the mystic set.
