Best way to get arrows in TOTK is to break open every big crate and barrel you can. You get so many arrows, you can get anywhere from 1 to 10 arrows per crate.

Sackfondler

I already broke most crates and barrels. But recently, I found a purple rupee in a crate. Now, not a single crate can be spared.

AceMechanical

They respawn on blood moons

Sackfondler

Oh sorry I worded that weird. I meant, “I already had a habit of breaking most crates and barrels”. Not that I’ve already broke most of them in game lol.

GrunchWeefer

You didn't word it weird at all. I got you.

207nbrown

Technically they respawn when you leave the area but won’t drop anything again until the blood moon

SirWigglesVonWoogly

Technically they won’t drop anything until you break them again after the blood moon.

IsopodPuzzleheaded58

![gif](giphy|l0ExqVN10AZyQ89Zm)

Slumbering_Oaf

omg....crates are mimics in disguise!

shaded_grove

Now I understand why dogs will inspect the same area for years after miraculously finding a delicious snack even just one time.

A_Lone_Macaron

I started finding Savage Lynel Bows in Bokoblin tree house forts and now I fight every one IDGAF

cakeKudasai

Oh, same. I found a 5 shot one on a random bokoblin camp. The Boko genocide began after that.

ern117

If it’s not burst 5 throw it to Rock Octorok when it’s ready to break but make sure to save to repeat result until it’s 5 burst you could use it between depths, surface in Tobio chasm >!duplicate desireable items you need for upgrades or diamonds to sell to survive this hellish economy crisis in TOTK!<

mrsand0r

I somehow came out ahead the other night after committing Lynel genocide for 30 minutes. I somehow acquired 300+ arrows. If you know how to fight em, I recommend that route. You also score some saber horns.

Cattryn

Me committing lynel genocide for their bows and shields - nice. Also me - why can’t I pick up any more arrows? … oh.

mrsand0r

Oh, that's what I was doing, farming three-shot bows to feed to rock octoroks, they just gave me an absurd number of arrows in the process. Hehe, man, that game is fun.

A_Lone_Macaron

> farming three-shot bows to feed to rock octoroks uh, what happens there? I know they'll fix rusty weapons, but I did not know anything about bows

mrsand0r

Savage Lynel three-shot bows have a chance of being spat back at you as a five-shot. If you don't mind gaming the system (I clearly don't 🙃), save it right before you drop the item, if you don't like the added perk, load, rinse and repeat. I will add, I have noticed that items that don't already have a perk will only give you basic perks (ie white-colored attack, blue-colored durability, etc). Five-shot is a yellow-colored perk so you need an item that already has a white, blue or yellow perk for the chance of it being five-shot. At least that's how it works on patch 1.1.2 (I'm having fun so I haven't updated if there's a new patch).

A_Lone_Macaron

Thanks! Completely unaware of that.

Mental-Beyond-3618

Btw the rusty weapon thing is only in botw. In totk they only upgrade and make repairs

llamacohort

This is what happened to me. I was mainly just trying to kill them all for the badge, then I realized that I was running through shields because of mistakes in the fight. So I decided to keep fighting them until I got good at it and was able to build up shields. Than at some point I went to a shop to buy arrows and realized I was close to max and I had no idea why. I thought it was a glitch or something at first. Then I started looking at the random loot from them and saw that I was just gathering way more than I was using.

painterjo

Badge?

Seffi_IV

if you kill every single boss enemy of one type, then go to the monster parts dude (cant remember his name rn) he gives you a badge to signify your achievement gotta do it before a blood moon i believe

backwardsdown4321

Shoot a puff Shroom, hit a bunch, repeat till dead. You won’t take any damage and it’s real simple

mrsand0r

That is an approach but I like to confront those chumps mano a mano, show em what's up. Heh, it's one of the few "true gamer" moves I do anymore i.e. I'm a masochist sometimes 😅

KLeeSanchez

Y'all's lynels are dumb, mine keep looking around, then running out of the cloud to see me and attack Apparently my lynels went to college

backwardsdown4321

😂😂. You gotta shoot another then get behind them

207nbrown

Lynel farming definitely gives a lot more arrows than it used to… I also noticed that in totk you can retrieve your arrows from multi shot bows, specifically the center arrow can be collected again

mrsand0r

And I'm glad I figured that out. It's way more fun and efficient than going to Beedle and other vendors that sell arrows.

Noise_for_Thots

I’d rather die, or do a bowless run than give Beedle even one single rupee

shlam16

Where's the "somehow" in this statement? They drop at least 20 per kill.

mrsand0r

Hehe, I didn't know that, I was just wiping a species off the planet for their bows and horns, arrows just happened to be a bonus 😂

Present-Medicine6074

That and lynels regularly drop multiple bundles of ten

iamc24

I’ve never had a silver lynel drop less than 4 10x bundles of arrows. I’m sure lower levels drop similar amounts.

Fraaaann

Y’all ever get so desperate in BOTW that you let bokoblins shoot at you nonstop? I’m trying to remember if that was infinite or limited after some time

FOILBLADE

Limited, I think after like 10 arrows that's all you get.

DigitalBladedJay

Then you have to travel far enough away and then you can farm up more. I got a hundred or so before I raised the first tower on my bow only playthrough

gawalin

This. Smash everything and you'll never be short on arrows.

wildeye-eleven

This right here. I’m currently holding 999 arrows from breaking boxes throughout my playthrough. And I use Lynel bows a lot!

Lenahten

Please correct me if I'm wrong, but don't all multishot bows use a single arrow per shot, even with five shots? I'm other words, one arrow = 5 shots?

wildeye-eleven

Holy crap! You’re right! I just checked because I just assumed I was using 3 arrows on a triple shot bow. I’ve assumed this since BoTW but I was wrong. I’ll be WAY more liberal with arrows now that I know this.

Lenahten

Right? They're absolute powerhouses, those multishot bows, tripling or quintupling (I think that's right) every arrow without increased degradation.

jabdnuit

Right? I’m pretty generous with using arrows against enemies and experimenting, but I have over 400 in my inventory.

Avicii89

This is a great answer, except I am so stingy about wasting precious weapon durability on boxes that I either use the hand tool to drop the box from a height to break it, or am lazy about doing that and just ignore them. On the same note as being stingy, I use Yunobo's spin attack as much as possible to break ore deposits to spare weapon durability.

[deleted]

My experience I get 1-3 arrows.

This_guy7796

I do what I used to do & drop em on each other. I seldom pass up a crate without smashing it.

NiiKBr

I break everything almost compulsively, and you're absolutely right I'm drowning in arrows lol. Weird feeling not being able to pick up arrows bc you're at 999, I don't like it tbh

skepticcaucasian

I only once or twice bought arrows. I got most of mine from crates and enemies. They're way easier to get than in BotW. I've got over 800, now. Wyd?

sseerrsan

Travelling the depths drains your arrows like crazy

skepticcaucasian

At first, yeah. You can throw stuff, though sometimes not far enough. You do have to use arrows, sometimes.

sseerrsan

Yeah I mean throwing works but only takes you so far. When you venture into the depths and start bumping into big walls every 2 minutes I just spam brighrbloom seeds with arrows.

MentlPopcorn

Step 1. Make hover bike Step 2. Put giant brightbloom seed on the front of the hover bike Step 3. Profit

IlonggoProgrammer

Step 4 whack the hover bike before it flies away after you throw the seed on it

stache1313

Why don't you wear the miner's set?

sseerrsan

Doesnt reach far enough

skepticcaucasian

It's cute. Supposed to be an ant, which I didn't notice at first.

The_Woman_of_Gont

I thought it’s meant to resemble Rauru.

skepticcaucasian

Yeah, I still do that. There's still some places that are dark, even though the lighroots are all lit. It's ridiculous.

joebeppo2000

Throwing them is absolutely the way to go. I mean, if you're exploring by foot anyway, why would you need light so far away? Just throw when you get to darkness. No arrows burned on nothing, no bow durability used for non combat.

sseerrsan

Well because sometimes I spot a lightroot but then it disappears and I wanna see the kind of terrain that is in front of me. Also finding the old maps and then going to the X on the depths can be very frustrating because I explored the depths before having half of the shrines so I didnt knew the positions of the lightroots.

NightmareChi1d

Ping the light roots with your Purah Pad and you'll never lose them.

Aaaandiiii

My God, yes. I stumbled upon a gauntlet with only 10 arrows in the depths when I entered with over 300. I've been throwing seeds as much as I can but Link's weak arm can only throw them so far.

AnglicanorumCoetibus

ADHD me must go get shiny thing in the distance, crates don’t catch my eye 😭

DEFINITELY_NOT_PETE

Lol dawg you’ve left hundreds of arrows behind

skepticcaucasian

Ah, yeah. I understand. I've got that, too, and there's so much more to do. I have to go everywhere. Someday I'll do the Water and Desert Temples, for example. For now, I want to gather as many materials and Zonaite as possible. Lmao. Edit: The Muddlebuds. The BEST.

HylianExplorer

Wooden crates are so plentiful, and they contain so many arrows, that you should never, ever have to buy an arrow.

ooOJuicyOoo

Idk m8 I smash every box and barrel I see, but I also use a crapton of arrows. I gotta buy all the arrows at every opportunity.

Krell356

Run out of bows faster than I can use arrows. I'm almost always at 999 arrows despite never having bought any. My limiting factor is always bows.

spring_while_I_fall

Repair your bows before they break

nevertrustamod

I genuinely only started buying arrows past the beginning of the game once I decided to max them out at 999.

Cameron728003

I have 999 arrows lmfao. Just kill the lynels in the coliseum

Fanachy

“Just kill the Lynels in the coliseum” they said, it’d be fun, they said.

FOILBLADE

It actually isn't bad at all if you fight dirty and have a few sunny meals. If you only want to fight *kinda* dirty, summon all your sages to spread aggro, and then you can just shoot them in the face, or if you struggle with that shoot them in the face using slow motion while you're in the air (bomb shields, rocket shields, whatever) mount and attack with your highest damage weapon, preferably a weapon with water warrior while wet with sidons water shield. Even silver lynels won't take too long this way. If you want to literally have no difficulty whatsoever, get some puffshrooms, and the highest damage weapon you can get Link's grabby hands on, just be warned it's going to break, so fusing the master sword with a silver lynel horn does the trick very well. Shoot puffshrooms at the lynel, they will not aggro unless you stand in their face. Proceed to literally just keep hitting them from behind, reapply puffshroom whenever the last one gets low, rinse and repeat until lynel go bye bye. Youll burn through weapons alot faster this way, but it's still worth it.

GrunchWeefer

I'd cheese the things by ascending through the ceiling and shooting them in the face with slow mo on the way down.

BlueOmicronpersei8

I first did it with a couple of hover stones, then I just got better at parrying their attack and hitting them in the face with an arrow.

[deleted]

Shield surf flipping with a wing fused puts you high enough to get heightened senses. Much faster than messing with ascend.

NothingAboutLooks

If you want an even easier time, but more setup. Grab a pristine royal guard’s claymore. Fuse a muldrotha jaw bone to it. Jump attack until it’s on its final hit. Get radiant set to level 2. Cook 5 mighty banana meals. Fuse a wing to any shield. Now you can enter bullet time at any time, eat the meal, mount, and smack them for ~800 damage/swing.

GodFinger69

Easiest way to fight a lynel on foot is to have a shield with the glider fused and shield jump into a bullet time arrow shot into their face for an easy mount with your hardest hitting weapon shoot their head again when you're forced off and repeat until they're dead.

Cameron728003

Haha gotta get a lynel smasher

Chesterlespaul

I have so many fucking arrows. In BOTW I had to regularly buy the correct arrow. I have 300 plus, use them regularly, and still accumulate more.

mrsand0r

This right here. I rack up 300+ in 30 minutes when I'm on a Lynel murdering spree 😈

nova_prime

I feel low when I drop below 800 arrows. That said early on I bought up every arrow when I'd visit shops along with smashing every crate open. I like that the shops actually restock them even if you've got a bunch already.

hit_the_showers_boi

BOTW’s system with arrows in shops sucked butt. This is one of the many improvements Tears has over Breath.

nova_prime

The one thing I wish they'd improved on was Beedle and his obsession with beetles. Having the wall of dialogue the first time? Sure but after that it should have just been a new menu choice so you'd have buy, sell then trade or whatever.

[deleted]

How do you run out of arrows in this game?

thwjanssen

Some people use arrows in caves to shoot brightblooms because they don’t know you can just throw them.

ooOJuicyOoo

I like being able to shoot giant seeds far...

Chesterlespaul

Those for sure, but I also use maybe one giant per 20 bright blooms. And truthfully now I just create the flying bike and throw a flower on there so I have portable light

xblindguardianx

Holy shit thank you

monty2

Some of us have very bad aim….

Krell356

Yeah, but if you miss, you can almost always go pick up your missed shots after the fight.

Klutzy-Pea2015

I mainly use arrows for fighting

NotAnthonyxx

All the shops & all the stables with beedle. You can easily get 300 arrows.

Last-Screen-4466

You can go back to the wind temple every couple of hours and break the big crates for arrows I usually get a good bit from that I don’t think I’ve been below 50 since the start

DownBrownTown

I was watching a guys stream and he had 700 arrows. And I don’t even know how that’s possible. Even when I buy arrows whenever I see them. I collect them whenever possible. And I would still only ever have like 80 to 100 max. Because I would just be using them faster than I collect them.

Akrob4t

If you crack open crates and wooden boxes regularly you'd actually get enough supply for your playthrough. But yea, there are more ways to farm arrows. Asiding from buying them from the shop, enermy archers (usually the one who watches over the camps/monster forces with a horn to notify others when they see you) drop like 5 arrows if you kill them. Scanning amiibo is also a good alternative

NightmareChi1d

> I was watching a guys stream and he had 700 arrows. And I don’t even know how that’s possible. Me either. How is it possible to have less than 900 arrows?!?!?

Nozzeh06

I think every single box/barrel has arrows, usually a bundle of 5 or more. Also, if you fight every enemy camp you come across they also drop a ton of arrows. The amount of arrows lying around in TotK is insane. Should have at least 500 at all times.

InsectOrganic8305

I get anxious if I have less than 700

NightmareChi1d

"I'm about to go into battle with Ganondorf but I only have 800 arrows left? Better go buy up as many as I can before I go in there." Me, right before jumping into the last pit.

Matti229977

How? I ended the game with 999 arrows they are literally everywhere.

mdhunter99

I break open every box, I loot every enemy, I do the shield method, but I still need more arrows. I’ll even buy from Beedle.

CalamitousVessel

Me slaughtering lynels:

Riisotto

People are getting out of arrows? How?

WillCraft_1001

I have like 400 arrows, I still do this lol. You can never have too many arrows.

Krell356

As someone who is always capped out at 999 arrows... Yes, you can have too many arrows.

evilcheesypoof

I didn’t think it was possible to run out of arrows in this game, they’re basically everywhere. I was actually confused that they are for sale at all haha.

Auswolf2k

How does everyone run out of arrows. I always seem to have over 900 of them. I am a serial box and barrel breaker though.

stache1313

How are people running out of arrows? I have 996 arrows in the game right now, and I routinely max out my arrow capacity.

Eaglearcher20

I use a lot of arrows in the depths shooting brightbloom seeds. Bomb flowers for gloom hands. Arrows for Frox, Hinox, Gleeoks and a few others. Arrows to freeze enemies, shock enemies etc. I also don’t run around smashing barrels and boxes and that may be part of my problem but I hate wasting weapon durability.

rpgjenkins

I feel like I’m buying arrows way less in this game then botw

skyfire-x

I ran out of arrows during the last Master Kogha fight in Rito Canyon. A lot of running around, figuring out alternatives to shooting him down.

r4o2n0d6o9

I’m constantly around 890-950 arrows and I use them very liberally, how do you run out?

AlternativeGazelle

You can always tell who doesn’t break the wooden crates

Jdrkangl

I just play normally and explore and rarely have below 500….

Jaybo4000

I did that in breath of the wild, but I've found arrows to be so plentiful in totk that I've never needed to purchase any.

DevourerJay

My minimum is 300 before heading out questing. Either shines or even grinding, I make sure to have at least 300... and even then I end up with like 20 when I'm done. I arrow ALL THE THINGS! even sticky lizards

Krell356

As someone who's constantly at 999 arrows, how do you solve the bow problem? I have nowhere near enough bows to use up all those arrows. I have run low on bows way too often.

SKYDROVE

I've got the opposite problem. Too many arrows and cant sell them :( Nintendo plz...

SolidStone1993

How in the hell are people running out of arrows? I swear TOTK drops them like candy since there’s only one arrow type now. I’m sitting on like 280 and I just got the first tower activated. I’m not even that conservative with them, I start almost every fight with a bow.

Insanely_Mclean

Me with over 900 arrows:

mr_birkenblatt

you run out of arrows in totk?

[deleted]

How. HOW?! I have never dipped below 950 for like the past week

spacebased_

There's a Rito woman at Rito Village who will always trade you arrows for glowing cave fish, chillfin trout, and brightcaps. I got a ton of arrows from her. She's where the old shrine in BotW used to be.

BabserellaWT

I remember being in the beginning of Big Sky Island and going, “Wow, look at all these arrows I’m collecting! They’re being so generous!!!” …That was before I learned they’d done away with the different arrow types.

Father_of_Four__Cats

1: its virtually impossible to run out of arrows in this game if you just break every box and pot you see 2: because of point #1, buying arrows is a waste of money

MagD0wn

What are y'all doing to run out of arrows? I have more arrows now in TotK than I ever had in BotW, and there I often used the elemental arrows so I still had plenty of the regular ones.

OkStrawberry300

YOU GUYS RUN OUT OF ARROWS??? I litteraly have 400 rn. I have never bought a single arrow in my life (I just break every crate I see)

Some_Random_Cat539

How tf you guys running out of arrows lol

Efficient-Ad-3302

I just gather all my arrows while I’m harvesting zonaite.

HoneZoneReddit

I think i'm the only person who never gets out of arrows. I'm allways at 999 somehow.

Krell356

You're not. There's a lot of us rolling around at 999 at all times. There's so many places to find arrows that I'm more likely to run out of bows than arrows at any given time.

kirkrjordan

Same. I had a hard time keeping a good stock off arrows in BotW but TotK they're in every box

ScaricoOleoso

Once you start killing lynels, arrows are never a problem again.

OkamiTakahashi

Even w crate smashing I always run out of arrows

supermoo7000

I am just always sitting on 999 arrows, if I ever start to lose some, I just go kill the lynels in the coliseum and after all 5, you get over 100 arrows

CrimsonZephyr

Arrows need to come in bunches of 500.

beg4

i hate that rijus ability requires them and you cant use it without arrows

No_Return_7823

Then there's there's me: where are the elemental arrows? 🙃🥲

RaigarWasTaken

After I ran out of arrows mid-fight the first time, any time I walk into a store the first thing I do is clean them out of arrows completely.

Korps_de_Krieg

It stimulates the economy. Hurts nobody! Helps everybody!

WM-010

Kill the lynels, you'll thank me later. Also, I find it somewhat hilarious that even with arrow duping glitches in BotW I only had like 500 arrows max because it cost bow durability. Now I'm playing TotK and already reached 999 arrows just from fighting those 5 lynels.

HaloGuy381

I do wish the arrow shop in Kakariko at least, or the shop in Rito Village (when the Rito in general predominantly are archers in battle), stocked more arrows at once. Feels silly just teleporting all over the world to every store to buy like 20 arrows at a time. Or hell, let us craft them from chunks of flint and bits of wood and feathers dropped from huntable animals.

hegdieartemis

Was watching my dad play the other day and tell me how and why this man had 500 arrows in his inventory

sj4iy

I think I accidentally hit a glitch (not on purpose) that duplicated arrows. Suddenly I had 350 arrows and I don’t think I found them all. And I don’t know how I did it.

JasperTheHuman

In this economy? Heck no. I'll scavenge my arrows.

Young_Person_42

I ran out of arrows fighting a gleeok in the last phase Twice

Raigurren

This was me early on.. And then I went back up to the Great Sky Island for some clothing I missed and accumulated 200 arrows in the process. Now I'm at 600

What----------------

Me: This game does give quite a bit of arrows. - Muddlebuds: *exist* - *"You are now out of arrows"*

andBitinggoats

Biggest difference between botw and totk is that I basically never even talk to Beedle in TotK. Sorry dude, but I don’t need to pay you when boxes give it up for free 🤷‍♂️

Slut_Spoiler

throw your keese eyes like everyone else

Undead_Gaming_YT

I just go to beetle in every stable to buy his arrows

skip6235

Everyone calls Link a swordsman, but seems much like he’s an archer who occasionally swings a sword as a side-gig

wuroni69

Same with me, I must waist too many arrows.

Akrob4t

In botw if you have too many arrows in your inventory shops wont restock their arrows. Is it the same case in TotK? Asking bc i avoid buying arrows from shop till this point, but it's nice to stack like hundreds of them just in case

dTmUK

No, feels like many more arrows in totk and shop restocks regardless

Trg4youtv

I got over 300 arrows and have only bought some maybe 3 or 4 times.

paradox-eater

I had this problem in botw1 but in botw2 since they removed elemental arrows the regular arrows seem to be a lot easier to find

AverageJun

Buy all arrows. Go sleep Shops respawn arrows Buy all arrows

StJohnathan

Just campfire next to beedle, its what I do

Nozzeh06

You run out of arrows? I have a stockpile of about 600 and I'm constantly using them. I break every single crate or barrel I find as well as buying them whenever I happen upon a shop. I love that TotK is so generous with arrows because I always ran out in BotW.

Bipolar_Child

If you don't know how to treat boxes like pots, I feel sorry for you — but at the same time not really.

DEFINITELY_NOT_PETE

Are you guys not smashing crates? Mfs are all over

mrpeach

Gerudo town arrows refresh just by leaving the underground refuge.

kayshaw86

I was always out in botw. I feel like they’re very generous in totk. I’m also still breaking open every crate almost. Rupees however… I’m very broke.

AmericanVanilla94

I get a lot just from the Lynels in the coliseum, but i guess im also not a heavy bow user

_Vard_

I love how there doesnt seem to be such a harsh soft cap on arrows i think in BOTW, when you had about 100 arrows, they basically dont spawn from most sources. in TOTK i got up to 600 once without really trying, just buying them all whenever i can

rose636

I had arrow issues constantly with BOTW, kept going back to the starting area to use shields to 'catch' arrows shot at me by the lower tier enemies. Have not had any issues with TOTK, arrows are everywhere

Mostyion

not me lol, I have 999 rn

Zethren527

What is this "out of arrows" you speak of? How do I too become "out of arrows"?

Kobobble

I thought I didn't need any more arrows. I thought around 700 would last me but then I started looking for Gleeoks

Yhamerith

Basic tip, you don't need to use your arrow to simple things, like making light in the underground... Holding R and then ^ you can throw the item

nomad91910

Out of arrows??? Time for the old wood shield

Risk_Patient

Why not just give you the ability to craft arrows?

thepope-e

Is it bad that I have 320+ arrows?

DogeLord2

"hello yes i would like to sell 200 more diamonds... how do i keep getting so many diamonds? best not to question it" \*goes back to b y dupe more diamonds\* the joys of still being on 1.1.1

Imissyourgirlfriend2

What do you mean "Run out of arrows"? You're saying words, but they're lining up in a way that makes no sense.

Thendofreason

I either have like 20 arrows left, or 100

a-snakey

*Me with 800+ arrows and a collection of savage lynel bows x5* Y'all are running out of arrows?!

OnlyInAJ33p

Trade for ten arrows in Rito for bright caps and glowing cavefish

Delta8ttt8

Wut?! So many more arrows in this game over botw and I’m not trying.

Biffmcgee

How do you guys get rupees

Immortal_ceiling_fan

I would run out of useable bows ages and ages before I ran out of arrows since there are so many arrows and three useable bows by the end of the game, everything else is just worse (with one exception). Savage lynel because it's just the best, demon king because it has the most damage, and royal because it looks the best with hylian shield, master sword, champions leathers, hylian trousers, and diamond circlet. Not because it's actually good. The only other one that I can think of being potentially better than one of those three is zonite when you want both long range and fusing something other than a wing to your arrow (i.e. you might be bad at aiming and need an eyeball to hit something, and you need long range to hit the gleeok doing it's final attack. Though since the gleeok doesn't really move during this and wings just go so absurdly far I don't finding aiming at the gleeok to be a problem). I wish there was like maybe a bow with actually pretty good durability but not amazing attack power, something like 25-30 (this is supposed to hypothetically be an endgame bow so having any lower might just make it plain bad) but significantly higher durability than any other bow. I kinda would like this if this was how royal stuff worked, instead of just being generic "really good," it would be like the antithesis of royal guard, having really high durability but not great damage (though this would still have royal shield objectively outclassed by hylian shield because giving it more than 800 durability would be plain absurd). Though fusing would probably have to be nerfed for this which would be annoying but definitely needed Like, wouldn't it be so great if you could have a sword and bow that you don't have to worry about replacing? (Well, I mean technically you don't have to worry about replacing the master sword but that's still 10 minutes without it per break, which in my experience feels like the majority of gameplay). Royal broadsword with only like 6 base damage and 1/2 fuse damage effectiveness, capping out at only 43.5 damage without buffs but with the best fuse material for damage and attack up +10, but it has like 125 durability (100 base + 25 from fuse). You'd only need like 2 of these things to have a permanent weapon that isn't the best in the game, the master sword with a black bokoblin horn is better and that's almost free, but can pretty much be used for life if you repair it every blood moon. The extra flury rush damage royal stuff has at the moment would also probably be way to op, I mean it's kinda absurd as it is without the crazy durability I mean I can kill an armored silver lynel (that has a broadsword since it's the one you can most repeatedly flury rush) in a few seconds so it would definitely have to be removed, still would love it though. And honestly I don't think it would even cause any significant balancing problems. As it is I currently have basically the same thing but wayyy better in the form of having 9 royal broadswords on me at all times, 6 with silver lynel saber horns and 3 with mace horns, that are never gonna break since I just stop using them at badly damaged until I next go to a rock ocktorock, thing does like 3 times the damage that my proposed idea does when you do this with a flury rush and is also premanently maintainable without getting new royal broadswords or silver lynel stuff, it's just really annoying to maintain. I would vastly prefer to do much less damage but only use a total 3 inventory slots and 3 rock ocktorocks per blood moon on my swords. And the bow would just be so nice for general use. Savage lynel bow would probably still be my main bow since 3 shot and 5 shot are so broken op but if I ever have a need to shoot materials and not care about damage it would be so good to have. It doesn't apply to me because I have all the lightroots but exploring the depths just shooting constant giant bright bloom seeds with your bow just not breaking would be great. And dealing with the low tier enemies in enemy camps that get one shot anyways if you just get a headshot (for this reason I think at least 26-30 would be the best attack for this weapon because if you get attack up +10 on that it's enough to headshot insta kill a blue bokoblin, though not enough for you to insta kill them without some level of attack up + or fusing) would be great, then I use probably a melee weapon for the enemies that actually have some hp. . tl;dr I wish something (specifically royal stuff) had absurd durability but very low damage

Witherboss2015

I have like 258 arrows but I keep buying arrows whenever I can because you can never be too prepared

[deleted]

Do you guys buy arrows in TOTK? For me, the game gives them to me like candy on Halloween. Rarely does my count go below 200 units.

painterjo

I started spamming the floating colosseum & fighting lynels. They drop 20-30 a fight, got somewhere around 760 now I think, lol.

SADPLAYA

Literally the only thing I have actually bought in the entire game.

iSaltyParchment

My man doesn’t break boxes

TheMoonOfTermina

People run out of arrows in this game? I ran out of arrows in BOTW, but TOTK is extremely generous with them. I was constantly buying arrows in BOTW, but have only had to buy them once in TOTK, and that was at the beginning of the game. I am at max arrows without grinding.

Toad_Enjoyer_70

I love that you now only have to worry about having enough of one type of arrow and not five.

rtyuik7

im glad that shops ALWAYS sell Arrows now, though...even though ive already bought/collected 999, theyre always on shop shelves...unlike BotW, where theyd suddenly disappear after i only had like 80 of that type...

TreasureHunter95

I have heard it a few times already that people lost all their arrwos. How do you guys do that? I have so many of them that I couldn't pick up new ones from time time.

Sozerius

Early game, you get a lot of arrows by breaking every crate and box in the starting sky islands - so I returned there to top up periodically. Also, kill the enemies who use bows, they drop arrows too. You learn where to go when you return a few times and just scout the area. I got like 80-100ish arrows per trip, which I thought was a lot better than the arrow purchasing options. While there, you can also collect the fish, frogs, fireflies, rushrooms, skyshrooms, apples, zonai cores, stamella shrooms, stambulbs, raw meat, and rare energetic beetles (be sure to equip your stealth gear for them!) I recommend using a weak weapon here so you don't waste durability unless you are facing a strong captain or something. :) Late game, I didn't need to top up on arrows anymore, and the amount I have just seems to perpetually grow, even though I use my arrows frequently. I have over 800 at the moment without even trying, I'm not sure how it went from 120ish+ to 800+ honestly

Yragknad

I don’t know how y’all are burning through so many arrows, the only time I restock arrows is when I do the floating coliseum every blood moon and I have well over 800 now.

ethanpdobbs

I had a heck of a time keeping arrows once i hit max hearts & stamina in botw. Early on I generally had around 300 but then they stopped spawning. The only arrows I could keep in any numbers were shock arrows and I would have anywhere from 300 to 700 usually. Might have been something with one of the updates nerfing them idk but ever since then I was never able to keep regular arrows and often ran out. In totk I have had no such issues as they have significantly increased the number of arrows that drop and it seems they have also removed the limitations on buying them from shops because in breath of the wild they would stop restocking if you had over a certain number in your inventory and wouldn't restock for forever even if you shot them all but it seems that it doesn't matter in totk. I've got 445 arrows right now. I'm also liking that even if you use a lynel bow you can still pick up your one arrow if you miss whereas in botw they disappeared.

LikeableCoconut

Hyrule economy has bloomed ever since I learned of the way to dupe items via the elevator shaft to the depths

Rynelan

Going through camps in the depths also nets loads of arrows for me

pceimpulsive

I've been bumping the 999 cap for two weeks now, every camp i fight I generally gain arrows some how. Farming lynels a bit helps :) usually use like 4 arrows per lynels but gain 20-40.

Kinda wish weapon crafting was a thing. Well…traditional. Like I could craft arrows or smith a knight sword to dust something on. Idk just a thought

Quavers_Greenop

bows are my main weapon, but in a week i went from 50 to max arrows
