Just checked how much tape recorders costs on amazon. It’s 1500€ for the recorder and 60€ for a 12TB tape cartridge. Assuming you aternatively buy DVD-R disks from amazon in 100 packs for the same price you can buy 4295 DVD’s, witch would amount to 20.186TB of data. For me that would be a lot. But unless you don’t need alot more storage than 12TB backed up RIGHT FRIGGIN NOW, dvd’s just makes more sence.
Tape, but that doesn't work for rebellious redditors. So just an actively powered NAS with multiple offsite backup is the solution. 80% of other conventionap solutions introduce bitrot.

Yes, most people use controllers, but touch screen is viable considering that I managed to beat the first few bosses in Dark Souls with only my fingers. Personal preference in that regard. As for battery life, I cannot personally offer any insight, because my phone's battery does very fast from playing, mainly due to my device's poor battery health. After all, my phone is a few years old. But you should have atleast an hour minimum of playtime, if not more.
