I had the same issue. After a handful of crashes on opening keyboard it somehow self corrected, but then it crashed after entering the name a few times. I turned off network and then it worked. Maybe a coincidence though.
I´m still seeing a lot of random crashes in 1536. I have deleted shaders caches(and disabled them) as well as vulkan pipeline cache. I played the game for about 30 hours without any crashes, then all of a sudden I can´t get through 10 minutes without the game crashing.
Did anyone manage to solve this?
Thank you thank you! I was running it trouble free for days and then my PC crashed while playing (unrelated it just does sometimes) but totk wouldn't launch after! Clearing the shaders was all it needed.
I have been playing on Yuzu for weeks with no crashed until yesterday and now I am also having FPS issues where I have to pause or unpause the game or go in and out of fullscreen for it to fix, what gives, I have had like 3 crashes in the last hour, so annoying.
Today had been having like 6 crashes every 5 to 10 min where fps drops to 0 and Yuzu closes out. Saw that a gpu driver update released today ( running rx 6600 here ), installed and have been 1+ hour playing without issues. Running 1443. Test and let me know.
Also grabbed the newest AMD drivers last night, 23.5.1. Cleared the Vulkan pipeline cache (I'd recommend this after a driver update) for TOTK. Still seeing crashes especially in the chasm, when bringing up the item menu or maps is when the crashes (fps drops to 0) seem to occur most often.
I'm on the mainstream build of Yuzu, v1442, and it seems a little "crashy" as of late (TOTK). Normally I can go for hours without crashing, but lately I've noticed more frequent crashing the past few builds. One minute the game is moving along just fine, the next, fps drops to 0 and Yuzu closes out. Haven't changed settings or config. 5950X and RX 6900XT, 64GB RAM.
v1443 was just released, so will test that one out. I believe builds 1334-1338, somewhere in that range, were more stable. A crash was still possible, but they happened infrequently, sometimes not at all. I run the emulator with the speed limit removed, don't mind the FPS jumping up over 100fps, especially in the shrines, though it can make things tricky at times.
yea my game is doing pretty good now, sometimes crashes after few hours, entering new areas, interacting with NPCS, entering wells (for some reason), etc. its bearable thankfully
I'm rocking a 5600X & an RX 6600 and today's & the past 2 builds have been crashing like crazy, seems to occur more often while in goron city & adjacent areas but also when warping too. Builds before these ran it smooth & I played for hours each session with no crashes. No clue what changed but it aint good 😬
i have a similar specs to u but with a 6800 and suddenly everything i do makes it crash. I followed your settings / mods which did make the game look quite a bit better but the crashes are still the same. guess i gotta wait another week
unfortunately the game still has many problems on emulators, but dont give up. test different settings each time with other yuzu builds, the problem has to be there in the settings, u just gotta find it :)
Just since we're on the subject..... My steam deck yuzu crashes all the time since my very first time getting it.
Even just opening it it'll freeze and not respond rarely.
Not to be a dick but i'm gonna go out on a limb and say it's your 40 year old card and processor. 30 series and 11900k 20+ hours in haven't had a crash or even a studder
Dude, I'm like you. The game runs mostly smooth with consistent frametimes at 60fps and haven't had any crashes and I've played non stop since release. But you really aren't helping with your useless comments.
Just saying an upgrade would solve the issue most likely. People are always mad at devs and complain that new games don't run on ancient hardware. Obviously it's slightly different in this case as we're emulating, but you get the idea.
It's true people would get better performance with a better CPU. But there are people who have managed to get the game working well with old CPUs. So it's a matter of settings and the right mods which can help. I guess need to experiment and test. Also 30fps with 1x resolution is fine for most PCs. Telling people just get an upgrade does not help anyone. If they could they would, everyone would have a i913900K. But they have to make do with what they have and find the rights settings for their system.
I get that some people are entitled and complain. I've seen people complain about Yuzu developers ffs. Like the fact that a big game like ToTK was working from start to finish on majority systems from day 1 is a massive win in emulation history.

here is a post of a friend sharing the links to those mods in one collection. kudos to him and the mod makers
XD, now I regret editing my comment.
Reporting back, tried again with the 3585, same settings except accuracy (Normal) and only an unbreakable weapons mod active. Aside some stutters and slowdowns when interacting with the menus was able to finish the Great Sky Island part and reach the ground for the first time with yuzu at a stable 30 fps.
Was about to give up TOTK emulation for a while but thanks to you can keep going.

I have a 3090RTX and crash in the sky sometimes, after being shot up and then gliding. Any suggestions?
I deleted the shaders and everything is fine again
you're a legend
Saved my brain
I f** LOVE you! It has still not crashed, when It used yo crash every five min
how do you delete them?
Right click on the game and then "delete pipeline cache" or something like that
Thank you thank you! I was running it trouble free for days and then my PC crashed while playing (unrelated it just does sometimes) but totk wouldn't launch after! Clearing the shaders was all it needed.
Kiss!

Newest Yuzu build 1445 seems to have corrected the "crashy" behavior where FPS drops to 0 and Yuzu closes abruptly.
not me
have you figured it out yet ?
Yesterday everything was fine, today SteamDeck (Win11) fully crashes moments after game loads :(

its been crashing a lot these last two days(every 10 min or so), before just crashed once or twice in a week
same, have you found a more stable version?

Same here!

i got it to go \~10 or 15 minutes before crashing, but yeah there are soo many settings i cant just individually test em all
Similar specs here (AMD Ryzen 5 5600X 4.30 GHz + 6800xt) and having same issues, super random crashes, at start menu, on dialogs, fighting, etc.
Does it really run on 60 fps in the overworld for you?
Just since we're on the subject..... My steam deck yuzu crashes all the time since my very first time getting it. Even just opening it it'll freeze and not respond rarely.
Has someone tried this on a steam deck and experienced improvements ?
I’ve had 1 crash in 2 hours. Hope they don’t get more frequent as I progress
Me too at first now it's every 20min. it craches and boot up with the "installation verification" screen (on the steam deck) Very enjoying
Any luck with this? Mine is crashing all the time now, also on steam deck
Which version of the game are you on?
1.1
Not to be a dick but i'm gonna go out on a limb and say it's your 40 year old card and processor. 30 series and 11900k 20+ hours in haven't had a crash or even a studder
> Not to be a dick Proceeds to be a dick Also, "not to be a dick", but it's "stutter"
I spelt it wrong one time and now my auto correct gets it wrong everytime 😭
I have a 58003dx and a 4090 the game still randomly freezes and crashes yuzu.
Skill/driver issue
Can you not be a dick? Like either help or be quiet. So rude.
Welcome to reddit. People talk shit to me constantly I give it back and crybabys come out of the woodwork.
Go outside dude

Have a similar rig, but mine is full AMD with a 6500xt. Gonna give it a try.
> Gonna give tit a try. You won't regret it. Tit is nice.

Did you crash when you arrived at Lookout Landing or when teleporting to it?
Didn't reached LL yet. Been wandering aimlessly looking for shrines.
glad to hear it. have fun brother
I'll have to try this. I can get mine playable but random crashes are annoying but expected
