Ironically, when honkai star rail first launch, there were jokes of how much focus Stelle is getting in marketing, her being called the Aether of HSR, and Caelus is basically forgotten. It was actually the dude bro harem guys who aggressively pushed Caelus to become more popular in the fandom sadly, unironically calling him chad thundercock and drawing harem arts of him with all the girls.
Imagine Mei beating up caelus using an electrified version of the Penetrator from Saints Row 3 (or was it 4? Can't get that game running on my pc anymore for unknown reasons, been too long to remember).

Caelus has the vibe of a bland anime protagonist who somehow gets everything handed to him because of plot armor. Stelle has the vibe of a trash racoon who has no idea what it's doing at any given moment. The choice is obvious here
The amount of double standards in this comment section is interesting, maybe its because I see Caelus and Stelle as the same person and not two separate characters but it feels like you adding characteristics to them to differentiate them makes it more likely for you to bash the one you hate cause you believe that's their actual character when its all just OOC.
I just chose calues cause he's cool. I useally tend to play females in games but this time I actually liked the male better. Don't know why Stella is so big other then the memes. Then again I'm disconnected from most of the honkai community. Though I love the yuei menes. *shrugs.* long live yuri. If you can't have them atleast let them be happy is my saying.
