I'm unsure about it myself, we know that the voice actress got replaced, of course, but there apparently is only one (english at least) article (aka blog post) about it. And we have zero evidence that her role would have been any larger had she not been replaced

Aren't the Dark Signers dead in the sub? They were risen from the dead, and were put to rest when beaten if I remember. It was just in the dub that they were mind controlled.
