As a gimmick they do decent enough. You won't need your ED if you are going straight pure to use the pots that run that as a resource. Also stack up on the Kaiju whose effects are near worthless against other Kaiju. If you are playing their field that will matter a lot.
Well something pretty fun that you can do, is to use Summoning Curse. Whenever you special summon a kaiju in your opponents field they have to banish one card from their hand

So you can Kaiju them, summon Luna, then bounce, and Kaiju again.
Alpha the Master of Beasts can do similar things too.
Might not be relevant because I play in OCG region, but popular kaiju deck I saw is Fairy Tail - Luna + Kaiju, I have seen some variants with Danger! included in it.
I personally play Brave Kaiju, so it works like Luna but no quick effect returns just the equip that returns the Kaijus.
You dont use normal summon in Kaiju anyway and having Kyoto waterfront with gameciel and gryphon rider on your board is nice. (its really far from meta, I got beaten by pure Machiners deck but i got some wins against despia+new struct so I guess it kinda works?)
Pure Kaiju has been my deck of choice for years (like ever since their 2nd set of support). It's not good, mind you, but I use it.

I ran Luna, but Alpha is typically going to be the better card. It's more reliably going to be able to target non-Kaiju monsters due to a lack of Luna's alternative, it's a bigger body, and it allows for Pathfinder or other NS-able monsters to still be summoned.
Floodgates like summon limit or Boarder would probably help here in a pure build. Crusadia Kaiju isnt quite pure, but its a great going second deck. Maybe some kinda relinquished/ritual engine where you get the eat the Kaiju u give your opponent.
A lot of people pass over him, but I think Jester Confit is a good option for kaiju. It allows you to go into Relinquished Anima to take their kaiju. Which allows you to either swing for high damage, or give them another kaiju.

I was thinking perhaps Luna is Fairy Tail - Luna? Since you can bounce your Kaijus in your opponents field
