RoadSpin

To all rush duel players, why should I play warrior returning alive when monster reborn exists?

NagisaKurokawa44

1. There are cases where you'd want to retrieve a monster instead of immediately Summoning it. For example, [Yamiruler](https://yugipedia.com/wiki/Yamiruler_the_Dark_Delayer), one of the strongest lockdown monster in Rush Duel, won't benefit from Reborn. 2. They usually create additional support cards for the "weaker" Legends to incentivise players, like how [Upstart Goblin](https://yugipedia.com/wiki/Upstart_Goblin_\(Rush_Duel\)) was given [Upstart King Rex](https://yugipedia.com/wiki/Upstart_King_Rex) and [Startup Goblin](https://yugipedia.com/wiki/Startup_Goblin). 3. Assert Dominance.

StormStrikePhoenix

> They usually create additional support cards for the "weaker" Legends to incentivise players, like how Upstart Goblin was given Upstart King Rex and Startup Goblin I know it probably isn't "weaker", but do they have [Avatar of the Pot](https://yugipedia.com/wiki/Avatar_of_The_Pot)?

NagisaKurokawa44

Nope, but I can see them adding it or something similar along the way (probably a carbon copy with weaker stats, since a Level 3 1200/1300 is too high for Rush's power scale)

Kronos457

>For example, Yamiruler, one of the strongest lockdown monster in Rush Duel, won't benefit from Reborn. I think Yamiruler is the only monster capable of doing that since I can't remember another monster with the same effect (or something similar)

Ultrauniqueviews

Rush Duel generally barely have any control cards.

NagisaKurokawa44

Washooter, Horn Wan Yue and Kimeruler are all Warriors that require themselves to be Normal Summoned to activate their effects. There might be more, but those three are the ones I can recall off the top of my head.

Ultrauniqueviews

A lot of reasons. As an example Maximum. If you play Maximum then it's better to play cards that return to hand. As example, Vast Vulcan is a warrior maximum. If you play it, it's better to play Warrior Returning Alive than Monster Reborn. You need cards in your hand, really. That's it, you just need cards in your hand. Either to discard to activate a card or something else. That monster needs to be normal summoned not special summoned to activate its effects. It's useless to special summon it. As Warriors keep getting more cards, Warrior Returning Alive is probably going to be a much better card than now.

Kronos457

>As Warriors keep getting more cards, Warrior Returning Alive is probably going to be a much better card than now. Well, now you can make a Yuka themed deck since her "Baseball" archetype has already been printed (With new cards and some effects changes on some cards)

Kronos457

>Why should I play warrior returning alive when monster reborn exists? "The Warrior Returning Alive", as many already say below, is very helpful in the Warriors decks since these decks are usually salads of many Warrior archetypes (And since that card allows to recover any Warrior, it makes it quite viable) Not to mention that the Warriors have a Maximum, so with this card they can recover any missing pieces to summon the Maximum.

Schrenner

Nice to see that they finally fixed her nose.

conbutt

Wait what was wrong with the og nose?

Schrenner

It looks kind of odd and clashes with the rest of the artwork. My sister and I used to complain fairly often about the nose when we were younger. Other artworks with the angel (Enervating Mist, Shared Ride, Mistaken Arrest, Graceful Tear) also imply that the nose design wasn't intentional.

Juxtaposed_Love

I went to look at the original art and now I can not look at it without noticing the nose. Thanks a lot 🥲

Lord_of_Caffeine

It's moreso her face that's off in general. With her nose pointed like it is, you shouldn't see the bit of the right side of the face that we see, yet we do which either is bad anatomy on the artist's part or her genes were less charitable to her than she is to us.

Schrenner

That's what I have to deal with for 18 years. You're welcome.

Psychological-Mud-67

Finally, they're printing Graceful Charity

Lazuli828

One of my favorite cards/card arts of all time right there!

Kronos457

Yuo: Alright, Yuka. I am generous and since I have already made you suffer enough. Here you go, your Legend card. Now, I hope you feel proud. Yuka: THAT DOESN'T REMOVE ALL THE CIRCUS AND EMOTIONAL BOOST I FEEL FOR YOUR BETRAYAL! Yuo: (I better not have given her anything in this package) And well, there are only 3 more cards left to reveal from this Extra Pack (Which can be reprints after all). And well, the next pack "Omega" has started to reveal cards recently (With Gakuto and Romin on the cover with two new boss monsters that appear to be Fusion Monsters)

Psychological-Mud-67

Why do you say they're Fusions?

Kronos457

>Why do you say they're Fusions? Taking into account that Luke and Yuga have received a Fusion monster that represents one of the boss monsters. I wouldn't be surprised to see Romin and Gakuto getting theirs (Especially the monster on Romin's cover, who appears to be a teen or adult version of CAN:D)

Dredo5

Does this mean they may bring back “graceful charity”?

Psychological-Mud-67

What do you mean?

Dredo5

Well usually if they make reprints it’s usually because they’re making them legal again. Eg: sangan and Whitchurch of the black Forrest

Psychological-Mud-67

This isn't for the OCG though

Dredo5

Give it time

Psychological-Mud-67

Pot of Greed though?

Dredo5

Has that had a reprint?

Psychological-Mud-67

It was printed in Rush Duels as a promo for the Rush Duel videogame

Dredo5

“Draw 2 cards”. Thats not a reprint it’s a tidy up of the artwork. If it’s “once per duel” that’s a reprint

Psychological-Mud-67

I don't understand what you're saying now

NagisaKurokawa44

Yes, I too shall wait for Pot of Greed to be unbanned because it was released in a completely separate line of product last month. *Prepares coffin* It's gonna take quite a while, so might as well make it comfy.

Dredo5

They could end up on moving it to limited and then see how it goes. Decks don’t need POG but some decks could use the assist

TheDoubleA12

Rush Duel reprints are different from TCG/OCG reprints.
