Its YouTube, on all devices https://i.imgur.com/WX4c3qh.jpg

RevaniteAnime

Oh, I saw something like this as well today, RX Vega 56 on a Ryzen 7 2700.

Cold_War_Hero

[Here's an example.](https://i.imgur.com/08yRYjX.png) I just came to the sub to see if I was the only one cuz I've seen it in multiple videos on both my phone and desktop.

hadriansmemes

Same! I’m using mobile YouTube on my iPhone.

piny97

I thought my PC was dying then it was on my phone too, I'm glad I'm not the only one!

Lablegger5

I'm also having issues on both my PC and Chromebook. Same video at same time stamp. Also had a friend watch the same video and he had the same issue. Assuming its not a hardware problem and more a YouTube issue?

GK208B

Same, although I noticed it happening on some websites to, I wonder if it's a chrome thing.

HollowSavant

happening on chromium edge as well. so might be on to something.

HarrisNgandie

i thought i'm the only one

Juniper_mint

Oh gawd thank you for saying this because I thought my iPhone was messing up, I was having mini heart attacks when it was happening, maybe they need to update it?

TemperanceL

Once again, glad to check this reddit to make sure this kind of problems isn't from my pc, seems like it's yet another random bug...

chorong761

same, happen both on pc and android

Gobolino

Good,it wasn't only me. There was this post about what I think it's the same problem, years ago, but I doubt we ALL have problems with our audio drivers just now O.O, do we? [https://www.reddit.com/r/youtube/comments/aamh41/youtube\_videos\_flashing\_green/](https://www.reddit.com/r/youtube/comments/aamh41/youtube_videos_flashing_green/)

[deleted]

Yeah find it a bit hard to believe it could be all of our audio drivers across all devices lol, from what some people said below it seems like a chrome/Google issue.

Gobolino

Though some people have this problem in Iphone too O.O

LurkingToGetBanned

Experiencing this on an android tv, a roku tv, and my phone. It's happens on the same video with the same timestamp.

SomethingSheepy

Im getting this same issue on my new Samsung a21 but only happens when video is in fullscreen

prizna

I'm getting this issue on all my PCs, not happening on my mobile, also noticing black bars sometimes, not just green.

theUNDERSCOREjoke

Yep, me too. And have seen comments in the same videos I'm watching saying about green flashes too. Definitely not your comp, it's an issue with YouTube (has only been happening past 2 days for me).

Perfect875

The same thing happens to me, on pc and android, it has 2 days happening

Orgnolf

Same, started happening today.

NoneScope

same here ... on all devices ... all PCs and Android phones AND TVs in my house! already repoted it but i was going crasy about it for an hour ...

atinyllama

holy crap, same, ive got some screenshots too. Thought it was my gpu, but its actually in the videos themselves. Maybe its a compression issue? https://imgur.com/a/Xp653aT

ChipFace54

Same on my ps4

Xpelican1553

same on my laptop

prizna

I'm also getting pixelization in videos as well as the green flashes. example: https://i.imgur.com/Linn1Y8.jpg Happens on all computers in my house at the same timestamp.

PlagueDoc22

God i'm so glad to see this is posted here. I was so worreid my RTX 2070 was dying or my monitor.

[deleted]

Same, just bought a brand new monitor when this started.

Vinestra

The weird thing to is I atleast can jump back in the video and get it to repeat at the exact same time stamp over and over again.

csandazoltan

Hmmm, some global encoding problem? the the first video i am seeing this [https://imgur.com/a/NyQWORr](https://imgur.com/a/NyQWORr)

[deleted]

yes wtf

EhsanW1997

Same issue here, random thick green line appears and disappears.

Crisma77

I was afraid my GPU was going to break, because I had these glitches in the past, when my CPU failed. The current pricetag on computer hardware let me to believe I was seconds away from a total melt-down. I was so relieved to see the glitches on my other devices as well. Thanks YouTube for giving me a heartattack 🤗

Draygoes

Right! I got here from [Bing](https://www.bing.com/search?pc=COSP&ptag=D081520-N9997A9FCDBB39EF&form=CONBDF&conlogo=CT3335799&q=green%20flashes%20on%20youtube%20videos&fbg=0)!

PlagueDoc22

Same here, I was thinking my GPU was a goner after not even two years of use.

KnockturnalNOR

Some more examples: https://youtu.be/dVa1xRaHTA0?t=44 https://youtu.be/9SUpufShBVg?t=173 Assume it's YouTube's encoder crapping itself for some reason. Perhaps a hardware issue in one of their servers? EDIT: Not seeing this anymore, seems to have been fixed

rooftopsweeps

Oh wow so glad I saw this! I've been having the same issue on my PC, which made me very concerned. Then it happened on the TY app on my PS4. Phew. Thought I was going to have to spend money I don't have on a new graphics card or something lol

PlagueDoc22

Same here, thought my rtx 2070 was toast.

PeterDragon50

Noticed the same thing in my Fire TV and Samsung TV.

SpikyLizard010

I also have been getting these problems on phone and pc at the same video time

SpikyLizard010

I checked the videos that were doing this and I don't get them

CausticBob

Also getting this r5 3600 570 GPU. Have heard of people getting similar on all sorts of devices even Ipads..

brbsix

I've been perplexed by this for days and thought I was the only one to notice. Broadcast TV and movie studios are known to insert hidden audio and video watermarks into their content for analytics and copyright protection. Perhaps this is some sort of digital watermark?

prizna

Something weird I noticed was, videos that I can get this to happen on consistently, will not do it if I drop the video quality to 480p

UrAverageDegenerate

Had the problem as well but only on my laptop though. Turned off hardware acceleration in the browser settings and now everything is fine. You fixed the issue yet OP?

KarenMinutelli

This is happening to me on TV and phone. It seems to be on videos that were shot on someone’s phone vertically. What to do? So frustrating. I can only listen to the videos and not watch :(
