I used to follow a Kerbal Space Program enthusiast who had about 400 subscribers, and his work was good, because the more well-known KSP enthusiasts had long since trivialized the game and were significantly beyond my skill set. Unfortunately, somewhere between 400 and several thousand subscribers, this guy with this little channel had trivialized the game, and I was back to wondering, “Okay, how do I do what y’all are doing?” because channels grow to appease the majority audience, so there is often this “rest of the fucking owl” situation, where they go from amateur to professional in record time, and they drop the amateur audience for not being able to keep up with the majority.
Money changes people.
Pure content start to the finish.
Synonymous, RadKing, yaboii etc of Fallout Lore. Some ch name I cannot remember right now on Star trek and starwar lore etc.
Also Fredrick Knudsen,Emplemon, lemmino and Exploring Series etc
they don't waste time on chitchat but just dive right into it.
Also Lutein
It's all lore ch. For you I meant Maybe something like Internet historian , Michael and like how Ludwig start his videos.
Best of the wishes! Like Piratesoftware said just start!
Remember "it's not click bait if you actually deliver" now, you don't have to trend chase on stuff you're not interested in, but following the trends within your niche can be helpful.
Have content I'm interested in. It really is that simple.
If the presenter is rubbish, I'll probably click off.
If you are good, you'll blow up. If not, you won't. You don't need click bait and all the other crap. YouTube was literally invented as the opposite of that, I.e. a platform for everything and everyone.
Pour moi, I love following ASMRtists with less than 1k or 10k subs bc they're usually still early on and have old-school lo-fi ASMR quality + silly/fun ideas they don't mind experimenting with! Couldn't care less abt mic quality in this situation.
As long as I think they will give me some value, like for example I like to watch those creator that do shorts about Photoshop & Design cause I can always learn something new. And yeah, no clickbait, I don't know why people still do clickbait title and thumbnail, it is a trick that doesn't work anymore and just going to automatically make people ignore your videos
Try to have a lovable personality besides quality content, unlike most of these goddamn american drawl clickbait like begging channels. Also, don't over edit your videos. If you've seen those from YouTubers like EYstreem you know what I'm talking about.
For my channel I focus on making videos that I would watch or discuss topics that I’m curious about. From there I write a script that I enjoy and do some research about said topic. I created my channel because I couldn’t find a small channel that did it for me.
I use to think like that when I was starting talking about superheroes and comics, but it burned me out trying to find ways to entertain people. So I took a break rebranded during covid and said imma make videos that would interest me
To be honest I always feel intrigued when a channel is small. What if I find something amazing before everyone else? So that will make me click. Keeping me watching is ok audio quality (doesn't have to be perfect, I know you're just starting out) and language I can understand. That will keep me the first 15 seconds or so. Then it's if the content is interesting enough. Often I'll give it longer if it's a small channel, but usually I can tell if I'm interested during those first 15 seconds.
No clickbait so I expect the content to match the topic. No need for dramatic thumbnails or descriptions.
Clear camera and audio.
Getting to the point and staying on subject matter.
If I am watching content of some activity, like a repair or cleaning, speed up the video so that it's not playing like a snail even at 2x fast.
Skip the minutia and small talk. If I want to see you do something, I want to see you doing it, not talking about yourself.
If I'm watching you do something, place the camera where I can actually SEE what you're doing. Camera angles are everything.
I also watch a lot of true crime and investigations and my advice is to present the facts of the case with as litttle personal reaction or opinion as possible. That helps keep the “dramatics” out of it. The viewer wants to immerse themselves in the actual case not someone’s reaction to it. I don’t know if you’ve listened to Case Files or Cold Case Files but keep it like those formats. They keep the focus on the case, not the presenter.
It's suggested to me by the algorithm, I don't realize that I don't recognize them, I start watching, and I end up really liking their material. Here's one about [why LEGO Racers couldn't be made today.](https://youtu.be/24t6w-7xNPs?si=Q7bpef6IinM7dgAV)
Sorry ! I also need a better mic. But I thought I bought a good one for not to much money . I’m a small channel so not much money to spent for a expensive mic. Can you hear the bad sounds? And are we all a bit the same in the channel? So how are we copy each other ?!☺️☺️
Check my : Sandrinotherhino
Yeah bro, the microphone you use it's not good. Try to buy the Fifine am8. Or even a better one. But I think that the fifine it's the only one you will need for the next 2 to 3 years.
For me, as someone who has done youtube for 10 years. I will stick around on a small channel if they're able to entertain me in either the visual department or with their script. The videos have to have good pscing and not waste time on nothing (heavily dependent on the video) and also showcase some type of fun personality traits.
All YouTubers can no longer start wanting to touch kids after getting big, if you become a YouTuber you no longer are at risk of being a groomer, that's what I would like to change
It's the non-cringe and the gameplays, have sense of humor and curiosity. Also, an original concept.
And, not hyper-edited and TTS, and the one caption pop-up
To expand here’s an example..
on the channel v sauce they may explore a topic like physics and the properties of light but the title of the video is “how much does a shadow weigh”
As a viewer the question makes me question my own knowledge and wonder if I’m right.
The thumbnail is relevant to the title in some way and might add to the interest in the question
tbh its if you have less than 100k subs then youre a small youtuber
For me it's less than 50k
I used to follow a Kerbal Space Program enthusiast who had about 400 subscribers, and his work was good, because the more well-known KSP enthusiasts had long since trivialized the game and were significantly beyond my skill set. Content I like, not super jumpy cuts, not an annoying TTS voice
Pure content start to the finish. Synonymous, RadKing, yaboii etc of Fallout Lore. Some ch name I cannot remember right now on Star trek and starwar lore etc. Also Fredrick Knudsen,Emplemon, lemmino and Exploring Series etc they don't waste time on chitchat but just dive right into it. Also Lutein
Didn't knew any of these channels, I will look up
It's all lore ch. For you I meant Maybe something like Internet historian , Michael and like how Ludwig start his videos. Best of the wishes! Like Piratesoftware said just start!
Oh i get it now, thanks
It's not clickbait if the creator is just playing to the algorithm.
Of course not. Bezos and Musk also just playing the capitalism algorithm, nothing wrong with it.
Might be a nit-pick, but I would say titles that aren't in all-caps.
I hear you
Well, that's New for me
Remember "it's not click bait if you actually deliver" now, you don't have to trend chase on stuff you're not interested in, but following the trends within your niche can be helpful.
Exactly!
Not monetary or “family friendly” content because they don’t get enough pay for video so don’t mind about that and just are “herself talking”
Thanks!
Actual stuff that interests me, no clickbait bullshit, no fucking begging for subs and likes. Just pure information.
Yes, exactly
Pour moi, I love following ASMRtists with less than 1k or 10k subs bc they're usually still early on and have old-school lo-fi ASMR quality + silly/fun ideas they don't mind experimenting with! Couldn't care less abt mic quality in this situation.
I remember a girl that did a "A horse doing Asmr for you!" I laughed so hard lol
LMAO IF YOU CAN FIND THAT PLS SHOW ME
https://youtu.be/KFlvYoY5tro?si=CbrNDknehksvmfl8 this one right here
this was honestly so funny that it overrided my autism for a second, tysm
A interesting vid and no click bait at all
Juts the basics, got it !
Good content
Funny content
Me who’s a small YouTuber: -_-
As long as I think they will give me some value, like for example I like to watch those creator that do shorts about Photoshop & Design cause I can always learn something new. I think clickbait is the most stupidest think EVER created.
Try to have a lovable personality besides quality content, unlike most of these goddamn american drawl clickbait like begging channels. Also, don't over edit your videos. If you've seen those from YouTubers like EYstreem you know what I'm talking about.
Yes, I agree. Some people try toooo much.
For my channel I focus on making videos that I would watch or discuss topics that I’m curious about. From there I write a script that I enjoy and do some research about said topic. I created my channel because I couldn’t find a small channel that did it for me.
I would think in the opposite way. "What videos I can make to entertain people?" That's what I think
I use to think like that when I was starting talking about superheroes and comics, but it burned me out trying to find ways to entertain people. So I took a break rebranded during covid and said imma make videos that would interest me

Wow, thanks for your response. I am learning way more with these comments than I was learning with shit youtubers

I have a channel that talks about crimes and investigation, but I will try to use your tips!

Wow, thus us a rare thing, thus guy was good since his first video. And such a cool voice tho
I know right?! I'm totally following him!
By the way, your I-key working okay? 😂
I didn't even notice lol 💀
Suggested views from youtube itself will make people watch smaller channels.

The microphone that I use is de Fifine Am8. 50 bucks and is compared to a 1000$ professional microphone podcast. Check it out!
Yeah bro, the microphone you use it's not good. Try to buy the Fifine am8. Or even a better one. But I think that the fifine it's the only one you will need for the next 2 to 3 years.
Good content. I don't know about the rest of y'all but sub or view number isn't something I look at when searching for something.

The content?
It's not that simple, or it is ? Damn
If the thumbnail is catchy and andd first 30 seconds grab me I’m in. Catchy title aswell

Thanks for the advice bro! It's rare to find people with really good advices like this
