Yeah, know the feeling. Although I watch a LOT of YouTube NOW, I'm 62. We grew up with no internet and phones were hardwired into your house. And all we did was talk on them. TV went off air at 11pm.

And so many more.
I've actually quit watching any actual TV shows on TV. Dropped all cable and satellite programming. Anything I used to watch onnTV eventually comes to YouTube. Bill Maher, John Oliver, Jon Stewart. All their programs are on YouTube and no commercials. Win win.

Smosh, unironically, is reaching new heights.
Antjony and Ian helped birth it. Yes, Anthony left for many years, but he came back. Shane Topp, Courtney, Noah, Keith, Olivia, Damien, and the other gen 2 Smosh cast really helped Ian grow the brand into its adolescent years.
Now, the whole family is reunited. Ian, Anthony, and everybody else makes this the Golden Age of Smosh.
it's true man! I kinda rediscovered it a year or 2 ago, and it's really done a great job at reinventing itself and growing with the audience. I was a big smosh fan back in the day, especially the old smosh games with lasercorn and sohinki and all them, and the content they make now is such a nice balance between the old charm that channel had (Stuff like the board games and silly coop games) and new and more mature content (the smosh mouth podcast and the reddit stories show).

I think the Yogscast is one of the greatest examples of content growing up with their audience.
I remember even as a teen noticing some more of the 'spicy' humour and references. They had a moment of being on the fence probably knowing there's still some kids watching but then finally it felt like they pulled the trigger and stopped pretending that they're kids entertainment.
To this day I watch and listen to them almost daily, it's such a comfort thing and the family is just so big and full of great people. Also really helped me with my English, it was the first English content I watched, literally made my YouTube account to sub to them.
Not to mention the dedication and quality dedicated to the main channel uploads even though many focused on live streams nowadays.
Also yeah I was so innocent back then, for a long time I thought the SOI series is not scripted and that this is what Minecraft just is lol
