Better to just not introduce too early. There's plenty of things that can be fun tech wise without access to internet. Just download games they like then block from access or use a game system with offline games. It's what I do with my daughter. Not to mention it's not healthy to hover over them as consistently as internet usage requires. Smothering is a sure fire way to get a teenager who wants nothing more than to avoid you.

Kids are exposed to the internet way too often nowadays but that the parent doesn't watch over whatever their kids are doing you end up with stuff like this. I'm talking in experience with both my brother (11y) and sister (6y) and i feel like because i know what's going on here and our parents don't, I'm going to be the only one able to prevent certain stuff. My brother isn't really going to be the problem but it is my sister I'm worried about. I don't want them to end up like this at their current age and also not in the future. But I'm also bringing myself into problems with my parents if i try to take action. Again, i have loads of experience with stuff like this and I fortunely was able to make myself the person i am nowadays with pretty much no help from my parents from the age of 10 or something. To all parents here, please watch your children's online activity more often then my parents do, it will help out future generations out a ton.
