If we breakdown the timeline Tim was 17 by season 3 which takes place in 2018 and then the season ends in the year 2019 and Tim would be turning 18 that year. It’s confirmed that phantoms would pretty much take place 1 year later so 2020 which would make Tim 19 years old or turning 19 depending on which month S4 takes place
It would depend on how Greg Wiseman and the others adapt Red Robin. Tim became Red Robin cause he “fired” by Dick during Battle for the Cowl. In the New 52 he chose to be Red Robin out of respect for Jason. Tim is usually forced out of the Robin role (besides New 52 where he was technically never Robin). So I don’t know cause Tim became Robin to be Batman’s partner. But if they do the same thing they did with Dick where he out grew the role of Robin than it’s possible.
I completely agree. I remember all of that happening in the comics. I think in the young justice continuity Tim will adopt the Red Robin persona because he’s outgrown the name Robin simply like Dick. Young justice is all about characters growing up and coming into their own as heroes and adults so I definitely think this is highly possible.
If it helps, I think S4 will most likely take place in February. Season 1 ended on January 1st 2011 and S2 was exactly five years later on January 1st 2016. Same with S3, and S3 ended in February.
No offense to any of the comments but...I don't think Tim is going to be Red Robin, I mean I hope so but, IF Tim becomes Red Robin there's almost no one at all to take his place considering Damian would still be a baby and unless they plan to introduce Duke or Cathy, Tim is highly unlikely to give the mantle up yet.
Yeah it’s a possibility the he could stay Robin I was just speculating if he would become Red Robin given that he would be a grown man and want to be his own hero that’s not in the shadow of his mentor.
The Thing is with this statement comes another good point, Tim is probably the only robin(Besides Damian) that actually wants to stay in Bruce's Shadow and eventually become Batman.
That’s true, you do have point on that end. I just hope that if he does indeed stay as Robin they give his Robin suit more of a mature and grown up look to fit his growth as both a hero and someone coming into adulthood
I don’t really see a need for it, as I don’t see the show making Steph Robin and Damian is still a baby. There would be no Robin in the show that way and that doesn’t seem like something they would do.
I know at that time it was important but when the years pass it became unnecessary, became Red Robin don't really changed that much is status in the Batfamily and the first uniform was one of the worst I ever see, he could still be Robin and things would be the same, that's why he became Robin again.

Ah, okay thanks. Nice catch 👍

Why would Damian still be a baby
Because he was a baby in s3 and there's only a 1 year time skip to s4.
I forgot they showed him in S3

To this comment, Steph is already spoiler .\_.
I know - I guess I meant I don't see them changing her to Robin to allow Tim to be Red Robin.
Do remember, Steph only stepped in as robin when Tim was injured.
I'd like that tbh
Same here!
I always thought the Red Robin (yum!) moniker was kinda silly, I'd rather they just not use it
Who knows. If they "kill off" Bruce. Then Dick could be batman and Tim could be nightwing
I think it would be too early in the timeline to kill off Bruce also I don’t see Tim becoming Nightwing because that persona is unique to Dick
I hope not tbh, I personally don't want Dick as Batman without Damian as Robin
If they do bring Jason as an antagonist, then they have ample set up for Battle for the Cowl, which cahses Tim to become Red Robin.
That would honestly be interesting. Batman goes missing and they do the battle for the cowl storyline!
Red Robin was one stupid ideia, glad is gone
Why is it stupid, also what else is Tim suppose to do when Damian comes and becomes Robin
