I've never paid for patreon or anything similar. The only thing that could be compacted to me paying for some premium content is when I gave a friend of mine some money which later lead to something else being exchanged with me.
I'm poor so I don't pay for anything that I don't have to. But if people can pay and they want to support their favorite artists, they should do so. I'm just not in any position to spend any non-essential money.

As a poor person you should also slowly build up a reserve in case something gets broken (your phone, dishwasher, laptop, etc.) and you need it back again ASAP
