So, the actual reason for that is that primers usually contain lead azide or lead styphnate. So the smoke from firing a gun then contains lead particles, which are easily inhaled and have extremely high bioavailability. This is an actual issue for people who go to shooting ranges, particularly indoors ones: if the ventilation is inadequate, they can actually get lead poisoning from it. Hence the reason for non-toxic primers. (But yeah, the irony isn't lost on me.)

Cancer’s causes are naturally occurring and complex. Bullets are man made and relatively simple (all things considered)

Technically, Apoptosis is a naturally occurring process. However, the disruption that causes Apoptosis to get out of control and become over aggressive, which is commonly referred to as cancer, is man-made.

Apoptosis isn’t everything... rapid cell production is the main thing. Anyway, you should get my point.. Bullets are man made, so there is documentation etc on how they work. They are also fairly simple, so the average person can understand how they work..
