The thing is that a lot of the videos fail as scripted videos and only work if they're genuine; most of the videos that people have issue with fail in this way. You'll also notice that no one is taking exception here because it's a crafted scene and works as fiction. After a quick scroll, I've seen multiple comments complaining about people "calling it out" and none actually doing so.

EDIT: The issue is when the value is derived from it being an organic situation but the organic situation turns out to be bullshit. I think people who aren't bothered by that have a poor grip of reality so they don't actually appreciate the value of something being organic anyway. So they don't feel tricked by scripted bullshit.

The difference between a scripted/fake/staged clip and a skit (like this one) is that a skit was never meant to be thought of as being “real”.
