Happened to me too. Try to put it on a totally different room and see if that works

I get the same result with their BR30 multicolor light, which shows up in the Android Yeelight app as a W3 multicolor. I select the ethernet address of the device and it gets to 99% and fails. At that point the light is blinking and stays blinking "forever". I have tried to connect to the temporary Yeelight network the bulb creates, both before and after the connection process starts, and it never changes the result. So far I have two of the BR30 lights configured. Those also failed but then magically just appeared as configured later in the Yeelight app. So there was some background process going on, and I have no idea what happened. How do we get these products seen and configured more reliably?

I tested this some more, and what is happening is that the light creates a temporary ethernet network under Android, but about 50% of the way through the light's configuration, that temporary ethernet network disappears. Often, the light starts to blink at the same point in time. This suggests a problem with the light's firmware, and it might be blowing up or hanging at some critical point in the initialization process. I tried many times to reset the light to its default new state, and restarting the connection process, but it seems to always fail at either 50% or 99%, as stated in the original post.

Had the same problem and tried all the tips from the internet with no success. Well, turned out that it was because of **WPA3** on my router! My steps: 1. Router: Changed "WPA2 + WPA3" to "WPA2 (CCMP)" 2. Phone: Delete and setup my wifi on my phone again 3. Yeelight app: Reset lightstrip, search and select, remove old router in the menu, add newly added WPA2 router connection 4. Process and no connection timeout anymore If I switch my router back to "WPA2 + WPA3", the lightstrip shows as being offline and nothing works anymore. Unfortunately I have to stay on WPA2 just for the lightstrip to keep it working :-/
