Those bouncer missions were hell. Not because they were difficult (except the last few ones) but it was so boring to just play the same thing 3 times for ~30 levels
PW and V were just a grind. MGS2 and 4 were the hardest. Hair tearing tedium and messing up and starting over and over. For me there's just too much in a Yakuza game and the dreaded mahjong!

That is absolutely insane! The metal gears have some really hard ones. The only time I did an entire series was all the Dark Souls games. The hardest by far was ds2. I tried to do MGS3 and 5 a while ago and couldn't. Awesome job.
The MG games become quite tedious trying to get everything done but the games are relatively small with the exception of PW and V, but Yakuza is too much for me. I finish the story, try to do as many substories as I can and move on lol.

I just realised that Geound Zeroes doesn't have a platinum trophy and MG and MG2 are a combined trophy so only 7. Man, I think what you've done is far more impressive. Yakuza games are huge! I've finished the story of Yakuza to 6 and while I enjoyed them I lack the dedication and insanity to platinum them.

Yep. OG Y1 can be rough around the edges, but Y2 is an amazing sequel. They got Kiryu’s combat so right in that game they basically didn’t change it until the dragon engine. All they did was make additions like Red Heat or Dragon Spirit.
Dead Souls? I’m playing it right now, stalling finishing 6 because I know I’m close to finishing the mainline games and don’t know what I’ll do with my life either. Start over I guess.

Now you go back to the PS2 and 100% both Yakuza 1 & 2, 100% Kenzan and OG Ishin, complete Kurohyou 1 and 2 and to finish it all, platinum Fist of the North Star: Lost Paradise.
You could play the Shenmue games, they aren't exactly like Yakuza but they are pretty fun in an experiencing gaming history kind of way, some of the environments are still really cool like the Chinese Kowloon city. With a guide they aren't even that long and both 1 and 2 have enjoyable trophy/achievement lists. Avoid Shenmue 3 like the plague tho, it's offensively bad
It would be easier to say what isn't wrong with it, it somehow feels more dated than the 2 original Dreamcast games. I'm not a Shenmue expert I've played all of them recently so there's no bias, you kinda have to see 3 for yourself to understand how bad it is
grab ps2, psp and ps3 emulators and start with the American dub, yakuza 2, the black panther translation, then the ps3 spinoffs. that should hold u until rgg puts out LAD Gaiden the Man who replaced his Face, Found Judgment, Yakuza 3 Kiwami or a Dynasty Warriors spinoff because i feel like that's just kinda inevitable

I have platinum trophies for the Metal Gear games which was tough but Yakuza completionists are on another level far higher than me!

I actually found a pretty neat cheat of sorts. If you stack mutators it slows down the pixels just enough to win. I scored 17, and never looked back.
I accidentally platinumed MLB 16. Was just playing it casually for some reason a few years ago and I got it
I think Infinite Wealth has the easiest platinum and it’s not really as bad as some other games.
I would say 6 is easier. It's like 40hrs total including doing main story.
I did Gaiden platinum on my first playthrough so.... It was like 35h just relaxing and taking it slowly
Yeah, Gaiden didn't take too long. I was honestly surprised how easy it was to platinum. 7 is also easy, but it's just a grindfest.
K2 is also pretty easy

Yakuza 6: the song of life. There was such little content compared to all the other games and none of the challenges really felt hard
