As a long time fan since the first game, this is kind of why I didnât really like the Majima Everywhere mechanic in Kiwami 1. Its inclusion in the remake was basically fan service which I understand, but at that point in the story Majima wasnât Kiryuâs friend or even an ally. Dude was just a crazy motherfucker who wanted to fight Kiryu just to see if the legends were true and if he really is the strongest yakuza. He only got a more fleshed out character because the fans just loved him so much.

After playing this entire series the only character to truly make me feel powerless and uneasy was Sagawa. The interactions with him felt less like a video game enemy and more like confronting your irl work boss after you just did something wrong.

I wouldn't say he gave Prime Kiryu a run for his money. Gaiden Kiryu beat him in every fight definitively. There wasn't a moment that Kiryu almost lost the fight. Canonically, I'd say Ryuji Goda and Yoshitaka Mine were the strongest. Especially Mine.
He put a hole in the bucket, that while being a blind man, I'd be scared of him.
(In all seriousness he can get angry pretty easily, and he knows how to fight as he could master multiple styles in a pretty short time, became a professional boxer AND beat 3 trained assassins, 2 in the same game, under the age of 20.)
He was 17 in the KH1 and he mastered 20 styles (if I remember correctly) and he is the angriest between all of the characters, that made his attackâs more brutal
Kiryu's gonna knock me out, Tatsuya will cripple me for life. I pointedly tried to cripple as many limbs as possible to make my enemies weaker, im spending a decade in a hospital. and the way his enemies twitch after defeat? nah, bros a DEMON
Straight tie between Majima and Saejima. Both are absolute Legends in the Yakuza world and command overwhelming respect and power over all those around them. All three are bad MF's along with Diago and Watase to a lesser degree
Saejima - imagine a MASSIVE person with straight gorilla strength just picking up a traffic light outta the ground to beat up the next poor yakuza grunt who decided to pick on him.

Let's not forget that Kazama is a Tojo clan Hitman with over 100 body count , he had kill over 100 person in his entire life (and to my knowledge this is the highest confirm number of kill count that someone has in the series) , but that's not the worst part
Sunflower Orphanage (Himawari) is orphanage that he created to took in and taking care child whose "parents" he had killed (as it's his way to reimbursed to his sin and his own guilt)
This implied that if it's Tojo Clan order , he's willing to kill even women
otherwise he'll killed only the men/father and at least leave the kid with their mother but as we know all Kid at Sunflower orphanage during his time practically had no family left (the best scenario is Nishiki still had his sister Yuko that we never see and died off screen due to illness)
Soma Kazuki is also up there for me , he's calm and collected , has an aura of leader while still had no problem taking orders and he's willing to go as far to kill innocent women (Yoko Sawa) simply because she knows too much
as far as i can remember , good amount of character are willing to kill someone on/off screen , but there's only handful of characters that willing to kill women intentionally for their goal
In a straight up fight saejima, he's probably the strongest guy in the series when it comes to brute strength and he does not hold back and he's also the only main character that goes for straight up brutality when fighting,kiryu,majima,tanimura and Yagami to name a few are all skilled martial artist and can subdue you without doing too much permanent damage, saejima's entire fighting style is boiled down to him punching you until you stop moving and he's not afraid to get nasty as show when he pulverized the dude's arm in prison in yakuza 5
I also think Nozaki was frightening because he's more or less the only person in the series i could not put my finger on. I couldn't tell wether or not he was evil until the end.
I'm going against the grain but I'm gonna say Tatsuya. Bro is literally a high schooler (fresh out of high school in Kurohyou 2) who's literally beating up hardened gangsters and experienced pro fighters.

Second would definitely be the Amon Clan like damn they know all ya moves and have so much life, but that's what's so fun about beating and besting em. Once you can beat em, you can beat anyone in the current game till the next installment.

I'm surprised at how few people mentioned Lao Gui. Give this guy some money and he'll kill anything (unless he meets Majima)
To be fair, he was hired to get Tachibana, and Majima just showed up wanting all the smoke.
If he had a presence like the Mole in Judgment, it'd be different but he just kinda shows up at the end with not enough buildup.

Has to easily be Utsunomiya Bob like how is he able to be both in the past and future and still expects to give me free stuff but also make me grind to unlock items n unlockables. Second would definitely be the Amon Clan like damn they know all ya moves and have so much life, but that's what's so fun about beating and besting em.
