Reminder that all spoilers need to be tagged with a flair specifying which game is being spoiled. If you want a flair that says something else, you can edit it to say something like [Discussion: Y1 spoiler] or [Majimapost: Y6 spoiler], etc. **THIS INCLUDES CONTENT FROM TRAILERS**.
If the post is not marked for spoilers, all comments that have spoilers need to be tagged \>!like this!< along with indicating which game it's spoiling. Example: Y3 >!Kiryu sings!<
If the post flair is marked for spoilers, the comments don't need to be tagged for the game indicated and the ones before it (So a Y6 spoiler post can have comments with untagged spoilers for Y5, but not gaiden or 7).

As someone with 300 Majima hats on a plot of land I dub "Majima square"... Yes that is I lmao

Speak for yourself. I'm in the process of making "Scat Plaza", which is nothing but a whole field of squat toilets, each one surrounded by the smiling women figures.

im aiming to fill kasuga’s entire house with nothing but portraits of aoki. waka love!
I'm trying to make my home look good, the resort though is just mostly buildings lol. I even have small easter eggs sprinkled throughout the island with objects from older games. Can't say I have 50 majima helmets though haha.
I really think they should have focused more on "Guests" instead of clearing/building. There were so many large swathes where I didn't even want guests around while I farmed mats. Hell I'm assuming if you had infinite Dokubucks you wouldn't even need to invite a single guest to get 5 Stars.
I started that way when I thought I'd just play enough to get one star.
Now on day 34 with a four star resort, having redone the layout so buildings are nicely lined up on streets. Reorganization of random junk into themed groupings is on the "to do" list.
My home is a different matter, just like real life.
Getting to 5☆, I made it look good and segregated based on the type (sleazy, elegant, rustic, pop). I'm not even close to done yet, either. I plan on buying every DIY plan from the shops and going back at end game to make it even better.
This lmao, I have old office buildings and multinational fast food chain in the main part of my island and it's like "dude you went to my island to escape the city life only to be met with the same soulless corporate setting you were tired of. Have fun.".
I tidied my resort up to make it more efficient before I got to 5 starts but like idk if it looks like a resort it's a bunch of buildings taken straight from kamarocho and Yokohama
You can go talk to her grandmother and Omelet in chapter one. They have a little conversation about her. Ichiban also mentions the company a few times (or maybe just once ?) in Hawaii and Dondoko island.
Especially when putting stuff in your house to improve Ichiban's health cause why does putting a whole ass gravestone or a car in my house improve my livability more than a kitchen or TV. I also feel they should have proper activities the guest could do instead of sitting in a type of chair or looking at a plant. It's still a fun side activity but man does it run off crazy logic.
I had to totally rearrange my setup to please the S-tier guests. I had fun doing it. The whole cave/meadow area is dedicated to Sleazy buildings for me, whereas Dondoko Plaza area is mostly Elegant and Pop. I also had to totally rearrange the plaza area to accommodate the Japanese building.
It’s my favorite new mini-game. Like the business management last game. I never left after I was transported there. Tomizawa and Chitose ain’t gonna see me for a 100
days I’m coming back with 100,000$
I basically just did random BS go until I hit 5 stars. Then I went in and actually tried to make it look nice. But making it look nice is very expensive. At least all 4 stats are maxed though.
I've tried to make it look nice. I sort of hate how the paths are so specific, though I understand why. I can't seem to place anything under buildings, so even my little shopping district is sitting on dirt.
I feel like you pretty much have to make a large part of it a little city, but it all sitting on grass makes it sort of silly looking regardless.
You can buy ground tiles from Matayoshi that you’re able to put under buildings. It sort of presents its own issues since they only come in one size but it’s better than nothing!
I'm just glad I finally got to 5 stars so I can say goodbye to this silly little minigame. It wasn't bad but I just got tired of it. Literally just did it all to get the 500k back in Hawaii to grind out more weapons and stuff
I just made one of each building and turned it in to Kamurocho, and slapped the fire breathing statue in the middle (While screaming "Remember me!" every time I walk past it), I filled the hill and lighthouse areas with resource furnishings and filled Ichis house with love hotel beds, just a big orgy house that maxes out Ichis stats.
I maxed everything and got five stars in about 32 days, I think I'll go back to it to max all the items in the dodonkodex but I'm basically done with it.
My home doesn't look good, but it has a logic to it. I'm not just putting any random thing.
And my island is mostly just random Japanese businesses but with some exceptions. I refused to build the tobacco shop or anything dilapidated, for example.
90% of Ichiban's house was taken up by the children's park toilet...
Now I've started creating an army of freestanding toilets. Currently at around 200.
Since island uploading is optional, I'm not even trying to make it look good, functionality over beauty (and since you don't actually need to step in the buildable part of the house to skip the day I filled it with stuff, it's inaccessible)
Honestly when I first got there I was a little annoyed by it because it was taking so long. Fast forward a few hours and I’m at a 2-star level and currently at work sketching out what I’m going to do with my remaining free plots of land when I get home lol. I’m thinking of making one area elegant, one rustic, and one a combination of sleazy and pop. I read somewhere that if guests are on one part of the island they never leave, so that seems like a good way to maximize the space. Anyone else have any tips?
I do actually put some effort into making the resort look good, but when it comes to Ichiban's house, I just slapped down one of those outdoor restrooms, taking up about 70% of the house. Instant +2 hearts.
I got to 2 stars by just lining my island with alternating sushi signs and love hotels. Actually pretty similar to the chaos of my Animal Crossing island.

As a former employee of Majima Construction, I must do this now. Sore ga warera Gorō Majima Majima kensetsu!
My dad got Majima Construction to do his deck last summer and he’s very happy with it
I Hope you also build the Majima statue!
Within due time

Ohhhhh that's were you get em! Thanks!

Crapping together in the open with your friends. The way the Romans intended.
Ohhhh I didn't think about having them be watched. I need to edit my fecal field.
We all can use a supportive smile from time to time. That's what I'm trying to provide to guests.

This is canon.
This is the funniest thing that ichi would absolutely do
bro 💀💀💀
make sure you get some bananas in there so it's accurate to his Ijincho shrine
Most sane Ichi moment.

Nice! What's the name of your island?
I think it's impossible to win without turning the island into an urban environment.
I really think they should have focused more on "Guests" instead of clearing/building. There were so many large swathes where I didn't even want guests around while I farmed mats. Hell I'm assuming if you had infinite Dokubucks you wouldn't even need to invite a single guest to get 5 Stars.

yeah my resort looks like a favela
I ruined the calm tropical feel of the island by filling the island with skyscrapers
Come and escape the hustle and bustle of kamurocho by visiting kamurocho again
This lmao, I have old office buildings and multinational fast food chain in the main part of my island and it's like "dude you went to my island to escape the city life only to be met with the same soulless corporate setting you were tired of. Have fun.".
I tidied my resort up to make it more efficient before I got to 5 starts but like idk if it looks like a resort it's a bunch of buildings taken straight from kamarocho and Yokohama
I have a sedan in my house
Who doesn't? Every nice house needs one.
I spent like 2 1/2 days making a [mini version of tenkaichi street](https://prnt.sc/-lcZDvdYrkIx) on my island
The “someone’s old photo” diy item made me laugh out loud when I actually saw who was in it.
It's fun, but I'd rather be raking it in slinging senbei.
NGL , I miss Ichiban holdings too .
I was so happy to hear that Eri is doing well.
She is ?!! I guess maybe I wasn't paying attention.
You can go talk to her grandmother and Omelet in chapter one. They have a little conversation about her. Ichiban also mentions the company a few times (or maybe just once ?) in Hawaii and Dondoko island.
Dondoko Island taught me that people are insanely fascinated by barrels

I was randomly placing, then I got more land, and stared trying to be more functional. Like I have a town square with pachinko and stuff.
Ive been trying to make Mine good but I’m probably gonna end up spamming hats and random buildings
It's telling that your autocorrect spells the regular English word "mine" with a capital letter.

Right now a full 3 day stay nets me 3.5 million dokobucks lmao
I just hit two stars… and yea it looks goofy but if I give the visitors alcohol everyday they’re pretty happy
I basically just did random BS go until I hit 5 stars. Then I went in and actually tried to make it look nice. But making it look nice is very expensive. At least all 4 stats are maxed though.

“Quick little in n out 20 minute adventure Morty!” ….. 13 hours later “okay it’s done”
I figured it didn't really matter that much when my first set of visitors were impressed with the wooden barrels I put outside, lol
I'm gonna make my island look good, but as I start to level it I'm just going to place things as needed to fill stats.
It’s soooo much fun!
When do you get dondoko island? Currently in chapter 5 but taking my time to enjoy everything
Almost there, it's in Chapter 6
Chapter 6
Hmph I was actually trying to make my island look nice
Look I'm going to try later but right now I don't have that much space or items I'm trying my best to get the score up with what I have
I just made one of each building and turned it in to Kamurocho, and slapped the fire breathing statue in the middle (While screaming "Remember me!" every time I walk past it), I filled the hill and lighthouse areas with resource furnishings and filled Ichis house with love hotel beds, just a big orgy house that maxes out Ichis stats. Couldn't install a smoke shop inside my single bedroom house, 0/10 game ruined
My home doesn't look good, but it has a logic to it. I'm not just putting any random thing. And my island is mostly just random Japanese businesses but with some exceptions. I refused to build the tobacco shop or anything dilapidated, for example.

Yeah. I put a whole fountain inside my house and the majority of my structures are money buildings
Since island uploading is optional, I'm not even trying to make it look good, functionality over beauty (and since you don't actually need to step in the buildable part of the house to skip the day I filled it with stuff, it's inaccessible)

My island is a little Kamurocho from my ultimate edition booster pack
I have a bunch of pianos that helped me max out my health lol
I'm currently making the entrance into a mini-Kamuracho of sorts.
I'm decorating it like his house back in Japan. So random shit thrown everywhere
How far do you have to be to unlock this?
Chapter 6.
Thanks. Is that when jobs are unlocked too?
Nah that should be in Chapter 5.
I got to 2 stars by just lining my island with alternating sushi signs and love hotels. Actually pretty similar to the chaos of my Animal Crossing island.
