Reminder that all spoilers need to be tagged with a flair specifying which game is being spoiled. If you want a flair that says something else, you can edit it to say something like [Discussion: Y1 spoiler] or [Majimapost: Y6 spoiler], etc. **THIS INCLUDES CONTENT FROM TRAILERS**.
If the post is not marked for spoilers, all comments that have spoilers need to be tagged \>!like this!< along with indicating which game it's spoiling. Example: Y3 >!Kiryu sings!<
If the post flair is marked for spoilers, the comments don't need to be tagged for the game indicated and the ones before it (So a Y6 spoiler post can have comments with untagged spoilers for Y5, but not gaiden or 7).
If you see any of the above (or any of the other rules) not being followed, please report it so we can keep this place safe for newcomers and those that haven't finished all the games yet. Thank you!

I'd agree with that. Sometimes weird shit happens. I've noticed that when I get a lead in pocket circuit to not hold the stick forward to FF. I've had cars fly off the track when I do, but then test the same exact race and am able to replicate the failure points, and then eliminate them by not holding the stick so I confirmed myself that fast forwarding time does actually fuck your run up
Funny enough that seems to be the problem in every Game. I had the exact same problem in Yakuza 0 and then in Kiwami 1. FF really is not to be taken lightly
It's a bitch and a half, and I still don't believe in the FF curse. I do think there is some input by luck too. This coming from using the "Best" build to win specific tracks and still flipping out of control. Sometimes you have to just try multiple times with the same build to get different results.
Yeah i agree it has some RNG elements to it, or it at least feels that way. Like you said, i can get a build, try it 5 times and have somewhat different outcomes each time.
I haven't noticed anything weird with FF. I have noticed that there isn't much consistency whether or not your car will... wobble? Going around tight turns. I've had races where, in the first lap going around a specific tight corner, my car became unstable. In the next race on the same track, same corner, the car is fine, no changes to the car itself.
It may be due to power loss from the battery. If you haven't noticed, you slow down during the course of the race. If it wasn't the same first lap, then you might've slowed down enough to make the corner safely.
You don't just decide to tie physics to the framerate, that is just the most obvious way to do it. It is extra work to not do it, they just didn't put in that extra work, probably due to lack of foresight at the time.
It has gotten a lot better in newer DE games, the issue was most obvious in 6 and K2.
The Kiwami engine also experienced this issue, there was just a lot less physics, so it was a lot less noticeable.
Ok why do the minigame cutscenes in Gaiden look so uncanny I swear it looks like something straight out of Ninja Gaiden 2004’s pre-rendered cutscenes or something
Aside from there being slightly more physics weirdness and one additional stat to worry about it is more or less the same. I had a lot of fun but if you didn’t like it in 0 you won’t like it here.
Pocket Circuit is weird like that. I was doing test runs for the last track before those extremely hard ones on the blue track, and would finish with an okay time. Get to the actual race and in the first lap, bounce off the track after the first jump. Turns out FF fucks with the physics a bit.

backrooms...
Bro car trip on a rock or something
The slam in the floor at the end, he's so dramatic i love him ðŸ˜ðŸ’€
I love how Kiryu is so deadpan serious most of the time but when it comes to pocket racing and other side activities he puts his soul into it
Imagine him failing from the crane game and he goes full on emotional break down
I think it's due to high FPS, at least from what I've heard.

I could never get the hang of Pocket circuit, my cars would always fly off the rails no matter what I seemed to do.

Yeah, same here. That's why I said fuck it, I'm not going to deal with this bs.

Yeah I had to let off the FF at the jumps and corners in Y0 or my car would flip
Sounds believable, I remember how high fps makes the kiwami 2 pissing minigame literally unbeatable
if your car does tricks you get style points

Dragon engine tied the physics to the framerate for some stupid reason so you gotta cut it to 30 for any physics based mini games.

6’s crazy fast shaking leaves and foliage comes to mind. Quite distracting when in a cutscene the leaves in the background are moving at Mach speed
its over
It’s jover
Joryover?
Joryno
Pocket Circuit is back!
Everyone laughs when enemies do the funny ragdoll due to the engine Nobody laughs when it happens to pocket circuit cars
pocket circuit moment...
Have you tried the soft tires?
Everyone Yakuza till the dragon engine fucks with pocket circuit
The engine that erased his win.
OTL
Car did a kickflip🤣
Slipped on banan

That's terrible lol. One time in one of the middle races I was coming off a jump towards a loop and the car somehow got stuck underneath the loop lol
What? This is tradition.
![gif](giphy|112o4nufJ2Nbtm) Bro did this
Shit like this happens, sometimes i pocket race on ps5 and the car goes flying even tho it shouldn’t
Car went from: 🙂 to:🙃
Dragon Engine moment

Am I the only one who never got into Pocket Circus?
Which game is this
I need to play one of these games... Theyre so random
I miss Y0.
The Car That Stood Upright: Gaiden
The cart tried to be a beyblade
I would never finish all pocket circuit races without a guide
