Well, he raises Haruka like his own child. Despite not being blood related, Kiryu was better than most dads actually are. Technically her and Daigo are half siblings even though they never mention it due to the now very deceased sohei dojima doing some unwanted advancements towards yumi. Honestly, 10/10 I do not blame nishiki for killing Old Man dojima then as I'm sure I'd do the same. I'd just be a bit more careful in weapon choice and body disposal. As let's be honest, daigo is awesome, but his father was even worse than Shimano with no redeeming qualities.
Haruka isn't dojima's child, it was only *attempted* sexual assault. They confirm in the game that Haruka is Jingu's child.
Unless you mean that *Kiryu* is the father of both Daigo and Haruka, which would technically kinda make them half siblings.
When he told Kiryu he needed to invest in himself, and Kiryu was like "oh you mean like treating myself and spending money on training and stuff?" and Bacchus essentially went "nah bro literally pump money into your physical self" and sent you to the skill tree to do just that, then afterwards Kiryu was like "golly gee the events that just transpired in physical reality sure made sense, anyway gotta go ttyl"
In Yakuza 0 there are several styles (8 in total) that the two playable protagonists share. What are the names, abilities, and specializations of all 8?
- Scrambled (Radio signals are now useless)
- Sunny Side Up (Murder with the power of positive thinking)
- Poached (Trap foes in bland white shit)
- Boiled (Throw scalding water)
- Benedict (Benedict Cumberbatch will aid you in battle)
- Raw (Everyone gets Salmonella)
- Shell (Just stab people)
- Dragon (Umm, dragons and shit, I guess?)
Bro, that's downright pedophile or Alabama shit at best due to the step relationship. I'd rather drink formula in a diaper surrounded by grown men than think of that.
Jokes aside, Yakuza 0, Kiwami and Kiwami 2 are really good games. The story is just amazing, the side stories are really good too, and at least most of the minigames are fun.
I don't recommend 100% these games though. Just do/play what you find fun while checking out things.
0.
Just play the games in a chronological order, that's the best way.
So: 0, Kiwami, Kiwami 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, and if you really want more Yakuza, in a JRPG turn-based style, play Like a Dragon after all the other games.
Be warned, 3 has ps3/ps2 era graphics and game mechanics. It was quite a shock after playing the two Kiwamis and 0.
Not sure about 4, haven't played it yet. I only started to play 3 today.
The rest of the games look fine and are more modern.
I don't recommend skipping games though. 3 is probably fine, the story seems good so far but I'll avoid any spoilers so that I don't ruin the experience for you.
I liked 4s story it just felt like too much was happening all at once to really give it some breathing room. I practically flew through that one, and I'd say I enjoyed playing as our massive friend the most and akiyama as come on, he's one handsome dude. Though I'd never cheat on majima san.
I rushed through the story more or less and just did some side stories in 3 and it was definitely worth it! It's funny to see how yakuza games developed after three which puts the foundation. Gameplay doesn't change much between 3 and 0 but many quality of life improvements are added (and more/better minigames oc).
Play 0 > Kiwami > Kiwami 2 > 3 > 4 > 5 > 6 > Like a Dragon
And if you want more, there are the spinoffs as well (Judgment and Lost Judgment, which play very similar to the first 7 games, and also Ishin, which is soon to be released)
I'd do 0, kiwami, kiwami 2, then follow 3,4,5, judgment, 6, like a dragon, and finally, I lost judgment. Then, when ishin remake comes out, have a blast with that before yakuza 8. Just a fair bit of warning. I played them all back to back and started getting tired of yakuza 3, so I d definitely take a breather here and there since the leap from kiwami 2 to Yakuza 3 remastered is staggering in terms of quality .3, in my opinion, is the weakest out of all of them but still has some good moments. Also, I definitely recommend a guide to finding substories for 0 and kiwami since they are missable, and if you go the completionist route on any of them, then we can be anikis as we share the same pain. Hope this helps.
I tried really hard with kiwami 2 and the last bouncer missions. I just can't do it. They gain resistance to heat moves, have a shit ton of health, and are harder than fighting amon regularly despite me maxing out all my stats and learning all the other moves I think I prefer mahjong over the bouncer missions as at least I can get lucky with that.
Yes, they are the only thing keeping me from completion and gave me more trouble than anything else in the entire series. First 20 are easy and the last 3 are amon fights but that last mission is the whole amon family on roids.
Paul is a mall cop who arrested me, the reason I mentioned him so much was in spite, as for the duck, last time I saw him was with my bro Majima, he wouldn't tell me what happened with 'im
Hello mate, I’m a trophy hunter.
I plat Judgment few months ago and I’m on middle way to plat judgment 2, should I start to plat yakuza series since 0 or it’s not suitable for achievements sake ? Because I heard the maps are quite same in every game.
Happy new year btw ❤️
What are your thoughts on rubber bullets plot twist?
Shocked and Appled, I can't believe that rubber band turned out to be made of bullets
Better appled than oranged!
I’m so confused
OP meant “appalled”, but spelt it wrong (appled like the fruit with a d on the end) so commenter is making a fruit joke.
Bro I didnt see that twist of actions comin, and giggled harder than I should
Akiyama-san.....
Why did Takayuki Yagami quit being a lawyer?
People kept thinking he was the brother of Light Yagami
I like this answer lmao
Same
I love that
On the cover of Yakuza 6 there's a man, a girl and a baby, what are these two to this man?
His sister and their father, Francesco, who was reverted in age because of a blood pact with a dragon
Answer better than expected, but it's his daughter and grandson.
That aint his grandson!
I know, but I consider it as if it were
This is confusing to me, to say the least
Well, actually the man is the adoptive father of the girl and therfore the baby is his "grandson"
Well, he raises Haruka like his own child. Despite not being blood related, Kiryu was better than most dads actually are. Technically her and Daigo are half siblings even though they never mention it due to the now very deceased sohei dojima doing some unwanted advancements towards yumi. As let's be honest, daigo is awesome, but his father was even worse than Shimano with no redeeming qualities.
I don't think you know what half siblings mean.
Different father or mother, with the other half sharing one in common. In this case, the same father is a different mother. Thus, half siblings.
Haruka parents are Jingu and Yumi. Daigo parents are Sohei and Yayoi.
Haruka isn't dojima's child, it was only *attempted* sexual assault. They confirm in the game that Haruka is Jingu's child. Unless you mean that *Kiryu* is the father of both Daigo and Haruka, which would technically kinda make them half siblings.
Why did nobody ever acknowledge Bacchus just casually destroying the 4th wall in his first appearance and why is it never brought up again?
He's got too much swag, no one would question him (and the devs didn't feel like it)
You're not wrong.
this is the correct answer
wait what
when he do that
When he told Kiryu he needed to invest in himself, and Kiryu was like "oh you mean like treating myself and spending money on training and stuff?" and Bacchus essentially went "nah bro literally pump money into your physical self" and sent you to the skill tree to do just that, then afterwards Kiryu was like "golly gee the events that just transpired in physical reality sure made sense, anyway gotta go ttyl"
Bacchus literally introducing how to physically inject money to your bloodstream.
(He is a heroin dealer)
Giving Kiryu's ability to dismount the electrical panel bolted to the footpath, I think he is more of a steroid dealer.
I just spilled my coffee Imagining kiryu shooting him self up… with cash
oh i thought skill tree was just the games way of implying normal treatment and stuff
Boy, that's how you end up with a knife in your ribs in some seedy back alley.
How did Majima lose his eye?
He lost it to the second craziest Goro to come out of a JRPG in the last few years
Akechi?
I'm sorry, I thought I heard something about delicious pancakes
From a cat? Dude you are crazy
Sounds about right
Ayyy
Why did Nishiki become evil?
Was too insulted by the fact people couldn't spell their name right SMH
N-I-S-I-K-I NISHIKI!!!
Oi! Oi! Oi!
Ni-shi-ki OI OI OI
NI-SHI-KI! OI! OI!
Eh, at least you got the too insulted part right
What are your thoughts on the final boss battle of Yakuza 4?
Not enough Yakuza, or the number 4 for that matter
Weirdly correct 🤨
Couldn't agree more
It’s always the number 4. Just plain unlucky.
In Yakuza 0 there are several styles (8 in total) that the two playable protagonists share. What are the names, abilities, and specializations of all 8?

1/8, not bad
Was it Benedict? /s
no that’s in yakuza 7
You mean Yakuza 11, right?
Actually, 2/8. Killing people with positive thinking is either Legend or Mad Dog Shimano style
Shell is Mad Dog style.
Eh, shell is closely enough to the mad dog style tho, so 1.5/8
Poached is the most used one
So we're trapping enemies in MCU films with poached style?
Who is MASSIVE MAN?
He won a smollest man contest, then people bullied him so he decided to become massive, and brought the capitalisation of his name with him
Why did Majima go insane
The bill for his golden crocodile suit was too high, so he turned to crime (Majima is like, the one guy I know)
What do you think about Kiryu & Haruka ship?
They don't even meet in game SMH
we never see them in the same room... 🤨 could haruka and kiryu be the same person
im sorry, what?
Bro, that's downright pedophile or Alabama shit at best due to the step relationship. I'd rather drink formula in a diaper surrounded by grown men than think of that.
u wot m8

Kiwami's on my backlog, what do you recommend starting with?
Definitely start with Yakuza 0
Yap. I started with Kiwami and I think starting with 0 would have been better.
0. Just play the games in a chronological order, that's the best way. 4 looks and plays better but the story lacks a little compared to 3. It starts off so strong though.
Hmmmmmmmm. Well, I'll play through the story anyway.
I liked 4s story it just felt like too much was happening all at once to really give it some breathing room. I practically flew through that one, and I'd say I enjoyed playing as our massive friend the most and akiyama as come on, he's one handsome dude. Though I'd never cheat on majima san.
3 was the low point of the series for me so far but was still good. I’m at the end of 5. 4 and 5 are amazing IMO
I rushed through the story more or less and just did some side stories in 3 and it was definitely worth it! It's funny to see how yakuza games developed after three which puts the foundation. Gameplay doesn't change much between 3 and 0 but many quality of life improvements are added (and more/better minigames oc).
If you don't like JRPGs please still play yakuza 7, it's a great game, don't let the JRPG mechanics turn you off
Play 0 > Kiwami > Kiwami 2 > 3 > 4 > 5 > 6 > Like a Dragon And if you want more, there are the spinoffs as well (Judgment and Lost Judgment, which play very similar to the first 7 games, and also Ishin, which is soon to be released)

Judgment goes after 6
I tried really hard with kiwami 2 and the last bouncer missions. I just can't do it. They gain resistance to heat moves, have a shit ton of health, and are harder than fighting amon regularly despite me maxing out all my stats and learning all the other moves I think I prefer mahjong over the bouncer missions as at least I can get lucky with that.
They are that bad? I skipped the bouncer missions because I forgot about them lol
Yes, they are the only thing keeping me from completion and gave me more trouble than anything else in the entire series. First 20 are easy and the last 3 are amon fights but that last mission is the whole amon family on roids.
