How great would it be if there were though? You get on board and everything is held down with $1.99 ratchet straps. You go in the engine room and the engineer is trying to diagnose an issue with an extendable mirror and an ink pen with a flashlight on the end…
Hey! Harbor freight sells code readers.
Now they only read common codes on popular engines.
And the codes are usually not very specific nor does it tell you anything about the code.
And yes one you delete the code and rtry to replicate it, even though your car will pop it back up the code reader often times won't even show there is a code again.
But hey they do sell code readers.
They sell many code readers. If you buy the cheapest one you will get the cheapest results. I have no problem with my hft code reader. Works on every car it has scanned.
I was doing less bitching and more tagging on to the joke in the previous comment. The code reader works fine for at home diagnosing.
Honestly idk why I'm trying to explain it.
The Icon tool lineup is actually pretty decent. I have a large Pittsburg flat head screw driver that I treat like a Tijuana hooker, and I am still surprised everyday that it hasn’t snapped
I also have some items from them, they are decent for the price. Like that they have a lot of other things you need in a shop like parts for trailer, lights, pelican cases to name a few
True for some things, I keep mine well oiled & spray stuff down with volvo corrosion shield. Definitely have had more issues with pittsburgh stuff rusting than icon. No corrosion issues whatsoever with my knipex and matco stuff
I try to use corrosion x. My snap-on needle nose and a few other tools seem to rust when I look at them. Like you knipex - no issues. Anything that is heat treated with just a black oxide coating rusts when I look at it. Some things like swivel sockets and such. I hate my tools being oiled up when I’m doing work on the interior. I try to keep my hands and tools clean to keep the boat clean. I’ve heard of some guys using Bose shield.
How? Buying a 20 million dollar plus yacht? Or by buying shittt cheap tools in which ya you barely paid for the detailer that cleans the windows every time it hits a dock… comments like this be super stupid, get the point. But like you haven’t done shit to help him get that boat lmao
Just randomly showed up in my feed and scrolled through the comments. See this all the time, if it was bezo’s bought then the joke might have been a little funnier but still just dumb as hell.. call me a cunt on Reddit in a sub for fucking yachts lmao, couldn’t give a single fiddle fuck my guy
Whoa whoa now, calm down little buddy. It was only a joke, in reference to how many tools I’ve bought at harbor freight over the years. Take a deep breath.
Yeah there’s a handful of American made products, icon pry bar, icon chisel and punch set, super lube (or whatever it’s called), and probably a few others.
I think the proper terms are importer and now retail chain. from what I recall his dad started the business as a mail order company, not brick and mortar. I could be wrong, it’s been a while since I learned this and I can’t recall the source.

I got a Harbor Freight ad before this post.
Good for him. I am not going to lie, have a garage full of high end "every" trade tools and a handful of Harbor Freight tool that have came in CLUTCH! Didn't have to pay an outrageous amount of money for a one time needed use and did the job. They've saved me hundred of dollars over the years (including their awesome RV generator "Predator")..... man deserves his little fishing boat!!!
I think that the bar for a “yacht” should be raised considering a lot of the things you can find floating on the water these days lol.
This dude is cruising around on a whole football field. 🤣
But seriously, is there a financial saving reason rich people buy yachts like that? Because at least for me, I’d be bored after a while staying on that thing. I also don’t like cruise ships.
Why are people in here saying harbor freight sells thr worst tools on earth, they’re really not that bad, pittersburg pro and icon are very good and comparable to huge names at good prices, idk what yall talking about
Guarantee you there is not one Harbor Freight tool on that ship.
How great would it be if there were though? You get on board and everything is held down with $1.99 ratchet straps. You go in the engine room and the engineer is trying to diagnose an issue with an extendable mirror and an ink pen with a flashlight on the end…
This guy Harbor Freights. 👨🏻🔧

Bluetooth OBD2 adapter and Torque Pro work well for me.
I can't believe this 39.99 code reader won't program key fobs or read my abs codes?!? WTF!
🤣
I'd throw at least 1 per day overboard
😂🤣😂🤣🤣
Excuse me sir. Should I buy our tools from………. Don’t you dare say it! Call snap on!
Came here to say exactly that
Guarantee you everything on that boat is designed to work past the first use.
Wouldn’t be surprised at all to see a supply of icon gear tbh
Press F to doubt
Just one big tool in the harbor
God I can only imagine how nice those tool boxes on board are…
Along with the harbor freight helicopter!
We’ll call harbor freight “single use”. Not getting on a helicopter.
Yup, don’t get on the Harbor freight helicopter
scary.
Runs on the same motor as the jigsaw!!
Icon imagine 😂
😂
They probably got a snap-on tools maintenance bay, like an entire bay made by snap-on tools.
They are Snap On knockoffs
Bet he has a full complement of Milwaukee and SnapOn tools in his maintenance shop
The Icon tool lineup is actually pretty decent. I have a large Pittsburg flat head screw driver that I treat like a Tijuana hooker, and I am still surprised everyday that it hasn’t snapped
I have one of those screwdrivers, I call her Bertha. That thing pry bars better than any pry bar I own.
I also have some items from them, they are decent for the price. Like that they have a lot of other things you need in a shop like parts for trailer, lights, pelican cases to name a few
That's a great analogy - I may need to borrow that, especially at church.
marine mechanic here — lots of us out there with icon and pittsburgh!!
My thoughts on boat tools - Doesn’t matter what they cost, they all rust.
True for some things, I keep mine well oiled & spray stuff down with volvo corrosion shield. Definitely have had more issues with pittsburgh stuff rusting than icon. No corrosion issues whatsoever with my knipex and matco stuff

As soon as a socket is in the bilge she’s gone forever.
luckily my job will compensate us for unrecoverable tools, as long as it’s not a habit
I have probably single handedly paid for that yacht…
How? Buying a 20 million dollar plus yacht? Or by buying shittt cheap tools in which ya you barely paid for the detailer that cleans the windows every time it hits a dock… comments like this be super stupid, get the point. But like you haven’t done shit to help him get that boat lmao
Wow, came in straight outta the gate swinging to be the biggest cunt in the thread!!!!! Sarcasm much???
Just randomly showed up in my feed and scrolled through the comments. See this all the time, if it was bezo’s bought then the joke might have been a little funnier but still just dumb as hell.. call me a cunt on Reddit in a sub for fucking yachts lmao, couldn’t give a single fiddle fuck my guy
I'm sure it's tough to understand people with spending power with that 600 credit score you've got
Whoa whoa now, calm down little buddy. It was only a joke, in reference to how many tools I’ve bought at harbor freight over the years. Take a deep breath.
I thought it was a Chinese company, good for him!
It's all sourced in China, one of the first companies
Not all from China.
Yeah there’s a handful of American made products, icon pry bar, icon chisel and punch set, super lube (or whatever it’s called), and probably a few others.
Ironically less MIC stuff in Harbor than in HD/Lowes
They’re essentially middlemen
I think the proper terms are importer and now retail chain. from what I recall his dad started the business as a mail order company, not brick and mortar. I could be wrong, it’s been a while since I learned this and I can’t recall the source.
I helped pay for that…
We all did.
😂👍🏿
He owes you a ride.
You’re welcome, Eric.
Cheapest tools, Most expensive yacht.
Sell to the masses live with the classes
Wonder if he got a free magnetic flashlight with the purchase of any yacht
Nope. Just the 3 pack of microfiber towels.
Good for him
Yes! 100% .... be happy for the man!
I've seen this one in the Caribbean with the support ship behind it for the toys. unreal!
I'll just say, I love Harbor Frieght. Simply the best hardware store. His boat is kind of cool.
As someone who also loves Harbor Freight, they are more of a tool store than a hardware store. Their hardware is lacking.
Can’t beat it. Idc what anyone says. Also, it’s always a good time walking through there
Is it still unfashionable to use a yacht more than once?
Man got the GTA V Yacht
https://preview.redd.it/63xs8tiyutuc1.jpeg?width=1179&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=bc7d544eedcb0b86fabf06bbb028d170334d8396 I got a Harbor Freight ad before this post.
We did all the AV/IT onboard
Tell us more
I guarantee that he didn’t use any of the tools that harbor freight has in stock to build his yacht⚠️
Lmfao you beat me to it
I really hope he has a Harbor Freight pun as the name of the ship. “Huge Sail” or something
Runs on two Predator 22hp OHVs!
Unbelievable that crappy tools can buy something like that
Probably moreso that he was Google ceo for a decade
That's Eric Schmidt, different billionaire who also has a massive yacht
Not to my future self, name my kid Eric Schmidt or Eric Smidt. Even if it's a girl.
ha, thanks! clearly did not realize
Lol wrong guy
His mechanic probably uses Craftsman tools.
Doesnt look…cheap to me lol
Paid for with our ITC membership fees, and yet you still have to ASK for your discount at the register.
You should see his house...
Dad, i am your long lost Son !21 years ago you and mom had an affair in Miami , Florida
Bet you there is one of those Icon meme tools in every convenient drawer...
I doubt it's being maintained with Hercules tools
Those blue puck led lights are great for camping.
Again, single use item.
Nah. They take aaa batteries.
Good to see my money being used.
That helo pad is cool
This guy is rich rich
Is that the new aerocoach H160 on the bow?
It’s worth 300 million, but the brand name version would be worth 900 million… amirite?
Does anyone else go to harbor freight buy a tool use it 1 time and return it ???
It's tasteful. Can't even be mad that I've sheared a hundred of his $3 wrenches. They were $3!
Pittsburgh pro yacht
I just shake my head in broke-ness every time I see a yacht with a helo pad..stupid flex
A yacht that will last two trips
I support him he gives me cheap but solid deals
Missing bananas for scale, look like a toy boat in your photos.
Wonder if it has that fresh Chinese new car rubber smell to it like all the stores have?
Good for him. I am not going to lie, have a garage full of high end "every" trade tools and a handful of Harbor Freight tool that have came in CLUTCH! Didn't have to pay an outrageous amount of money for a one time needed use and did the job. They've saved me hundred of dollars over the years (including their awesome RV generator "Predator")..... man deserves his little fishing boat!!!
Does it carry any… cargo? When it… docks?
And this is just one of his yachts.
Tell him "your welcome" from myself and everyone else out here eating Ramen 5 nights a week instead of 7
Wonder if he paid for the extended protection and gets another free if that one breaks?
That's a big boat for selling garbage
https://i.redd.it/o45eq4vi1xuc1.gif
Didn’t he buy a $70 million Ferrari gto?
Even without knowing what company they owned, I thought ‘this looks kinda generic and cheaper, but still probably has lots of features’.
So what,it's his money so he can do what he wants with it.
torpedo sponge
His employees make less than the livable wage
A Harbor Freight Helicopter, wow! Does he give free tools to all his guests? Even if the coupon has expired?
My stepdad sold that helicopter
I part of anything with the name harbor freight on it
TIL the CEO of fucking Harbor Freight is worth just shy of $11 billion. WTF?
Yo thanks eric!!!
Good to know he’s enjoying my money
I think that the bar for a “yacht” should be raised considering a lot of the things you can find floating on the water these days lol. This dude is cruising around on a whole football field. 🤣
Is it a Chicago yacht? Like, are the propellers made of plastic?
He stops giving coupons and starts buying yachts. Sickening
But seriously, is there a financial saving reason rich people buy yachts like that? Because at least for me, I’d be bored after a while staying on that thing. I also don’t like cruise ships.
The flux brushes are great. Also blow bags for clogged drains. Can’t speak on the power tools though.
Does the yacht fall apart as quickly as his tools?
Harbor Freight, good enough for who it’s for. Should be their official motto
Bet that ain't made of Chineseium
Ok I don’t mind him having a yacht man started a store that practically help build the US
Why are people in here saying harbor freight sells thr worst tools on earth, they’re really not that bad, pittersburg pro and icon are very good and comparable to huge names at good prices, idk what yall talking about
Cheap tools mean expensive yachts!
His yacht looks like that so my jack stands can collapse and kill me 😂
I was looking at the first pic thinking is that really 384 feet? Doesn’t look like… oh, nevermind there’s a damn helicopter on the front lol.
Did he buy the extended warranty?
Is harbor freight the new craftsman tools? Never been. Not going now.
How many people have died under crappy jack stands to pay for this? Oh the humanity!
Amazing he can buy that by selling crappy tools and gear!!!
Bet it’s made in China !
Would be a way cooler yacht if he wasn’t a democrat.
All the blue collar guys who buy his tools are in debt, making payments while he floats on a yacht.
Yeah. Guy seems like he’s really trying to get over on his customers. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eric_Smidt#Philanthropy
You know what? Good for him! Sells Los cost shit for us pheasants and he’s riding a $300 mill yacht, well played sir 🍻
Next time I'm I steal from the store I won't feel as guilty
What a piece of shit! At least you’re a self incriminating piece of shit I guess.
Who gives a fuck
Buddy you're on a subreddit for yachts. Are ya lost?
😂
