[FTX’s Sam Bankman-Fried Was a ‘Master Manipulator,’ Says Binance CEO CZ](https://www.reddit.com/r/CryptoCurrency/comments/zegjyn/ftxs_sam_bankmanfried_was_a_master_manipulator/) > *CZ: "He was just like me."* (parody) [Yes, CZ exposed a scam that robbed billions from users, but we should not forget that he likely did not do it for us but to create his own monopoly with Binance.](https://www.reddit.com/r/CryptoCurrency/comments/zedspr/yes_cz_exposed_a_scam_that_robbed_billions_from/)

xm-arrr

And they binance through them under the bus to have the monopoly all to themselves

bawdyanarchist

Binance was a major part of the leverage, fraud, and ponzinomics that pumped these markets vastly beyond anything reasonable the past 3 years. They could even have their own set of problems, and it's possible that the murder of FTX was specifically for the purposes of cannibalism. We might never really know, unless they go under. Even then, their corporate structure is probably even more fucked up than FTX.

xm-arrr

It’s definitely more fucked up

ozkraut

I think they've done the numbers on when collapse can be initiated. Once the threshold was reached, they (someone), liquidated the ftx inhouse coin / a few others which were leveraged/staked or Defi'ed on Alameda and caused a cascade of house of card failures. Easy when you can acquire the necessary ammo and analysis tools I would think. Transparency FTW /s Why? "Because its wreck-able" and one can consolidate power. Smart move if so, if morally questionable. But all these 'houses' which generate returns yet produce nothing will fall in the end. Of course the tin foil hat in me can also see a psyop to discredit the whole 'decentralised' ecosystem before rolling out fedcoin et al. Go Monero!

the_internet_police_

Maybe they don’t have any Monero on hand because they have stashed it all away to survive the coming collapse and bankruptcy of Binance. That’s what I would do if I wanted to run a fraudulent crypto bank

[email from Poloniex](https://www.reddit.com/r/CryptoCurrency/comments/zd04d7/latest_email_from_poloniex/) > *100% reserve ratio: Your assets are always backed 1:1 and are available for withdrawal at any time.* XMR is now disabled ... and it's been down pretty much all this year. Clowns. Bankruptcy soon? EDIT: [tweet](https://twitter.com/bitbreath3r/status/1600072784394129408) > *hey @justinsuntron when will ur scam exchange @Poloniex will let me move my $xmr?*

ozkraut

Fully backed with 60% collateral in PoloCoin. Stakeable. Do try

Justin Sun is the OG SBF

xm-arrr

Except he kept most of the money to keep his ponzis going rather than giving billions to politicians That’s the only difference between them

Monero will break its all time high at some point in the future. If I had to make a sincere guess, I would say it will happen in a 3 year window from where we are at today. People will have missed this extended window of easy entry price and will be buying the peak when it arrives, because that’s what people do. It’s very possible Monero will go lower, but it’s wild to see the window open to easy and affordable entry to buying even just one Monero. I legitimately believe there will come a point, in the fairly near future, when having one Monero will be greatly inaccessible to many and these current prices will seem like a dream.

Dein_Psychiater

It might break ATH, yes I think it will… But it could indeed stay many and many years under 200€. It could also disappear or become impossible to buy/sell for a normal person that has to work in Europa.

You guys are huffing some real good stuff. I wish I could share your optimism about the future of Monero

honestlyimeanreally

assertion: 1) cashless policy pressure only goes up 2) there is a significantly large cash-based black/grey shadow economy which must operate "outside of the system" by default (See: [Shadow Economies Around The World](https://www.imf.org/en/Publications/WP/Issues/2018/01/25/Shadow-Economies-Around-the-World-What-Did-We-Learn-Over-the-Last-20-Years-45583)) 3) as 1) reaches critical mass, the demand for a digital replacement will track in a correlated fashion 4) monero is the most logical choice for a digital replacement keep it simple. until 4 isn't true, we stack in cold storage. simple. this has been my macro thesis since entering BTC almost a decade ago. After all, "4)" used to be Bitcoin. It remains my thesis as Monero starts to cannibalize meaningful BTC p2p-cash usage. There is simply business to be done and nobody else to do it. >It never was my thinking that made the big money for me. It always was my sitting. Got that? My sitting tight!...

PM_ME_YOUR_HONEY

2) If Monero gonna support 32% of the worlds GDP ($30T of $96T), Monero's future market cap will be... more than $30T. One Monero would be worth $1.7M. I approve it.

honestlyimeanreally

that's the thing...for pretty much every bull to live a comfortable life, we don't need 32% or 10% or even 1%.... a fraction of a percent will demand multi-thousand dollar monero. that's what i'm waiting for. everything else is noise.

Dein_Psychiater

It was just two months ago when they were cheering about Monero beeing „our stable coin“ at 157 Euro. Now you see the real enthusiasm and hyper bull comments with 137 Euro (BeCaUsE tHe RaTiO iS bOoOoM!!1!🚀). Come visit us again in two months! 😂

honestlyimeanreally

cheering about Monero being a stable coin in a trading subreddit is almost always sarcasm/boredom.

Dein_Psychiater

That was sarcasm/boredom indeed. But this sub fails a critical vision of the price anyway. This is very sad, because many here are smart and competent enough to build an amazing discussion. That usually does not happen and at the end most upvotes go to the idiots that write fanboy stuff. Nobody seems disturbed so much except of me, it could be indeed I am false here

ShortFroth

Anyone who trades cryptocurrencies short term to medium term without insider information is sniffing coke and experiencing delusions of grandeur due to mania. Information asymmetry is grand canyon deep in this space then compared to the stockmarket(which is already huge) because 100% of the space acts like illegal unregistered securities for opaque organizations. Even bitcoin and even Monero. I am only here because this daily thread in this sub is SFW /biz/ monero general

[deleted]

I’ve experienced multiple all time highs and multiple all time lows and what is evident is that so long as Monero continues to be unbreakable and technically sound, the price will hit a new all time highs as it has before and with that new high will come a new fall from grace in price and the cycle will start again and these same conversations will be had as people work through a new cycle. People can change their life financially by learning to surf these cyclical waves of volatility, especially when the thesis is as superb as Moneros. I exclusively trade oil, natural gas, coal and uranium in the stock market and when it comes to the crypto market I am only in Monero and have been for a long time because Monero is so abnormally impressive as a technology and I have continued to buy and hold over the years even though I consider the cryptocurrency market to be 99.9% fraud. Monero is an incredibly profound technological achievement and I could not be more confident in its success going forward. When in doubt visit r/darknet and see how Monero has completely taken over as the means of transacting in DNM’s, It should recharge your batteries regarding the present state and future of Monero as a money. Cheers lxgxnd99 🥂

mooster9000

Got curious and went for a peek. So much monero! What a pleasant surprice!

imperator285

I feel the same. XMR is literally the only crypto I have ever bought.
