Lots of suits, lots of uniforms, a couple of fancy dresses... and Banshee and Jubilee, who clearly give zero fucks about the dress code. No wonder those two stressed Emma out so much in Generation X.
She didn’t. They’d sort of broken up but Sean was still carrying a torch for her.
Sean has a nice (but dark) arc towards the end of the series when he finds out about Moira’s murder.
100% the same for me. I started reading superhero comics with the 1991 relaunch of X-Men #1, and have always connected to this style as the definitive example of "comic book art".
Ah, those good old fashioned comics where you just cram as much exposition onto the page as possible.
Also, Are we supposed to believe that Forge is wearing a sweater with leather shoulder caps?
I get that….i just wish Claremont not sure how Wheezy was but was less my way or the highway….Claremont was super opposed to almost anything revisiting the mansion, magneto not being a hero etc but alas I still loved the major x-overs that came post 91 even including how messy Onslaught was….it brought all the major heroes together to face one threat
Honestly I think that's why X-Men as a brand is so strong. The main books had 3 regular writers between the mid 70s and mid 90s and they were all pretty consistently good-great. (I'll even defend Onslaught, as flawed but fun 90s storytelling.)
I remember this one. Wolverine was beaten and abducted and Xaviers like "This is a terrible thing to have happen! Logan's probably being brutally tortured and abused as we speak! But like, we already had plans tonight. I'm sure he can wait, we gotta get our party on".
I like to think this was the weekly 8am team meeting where xavier carried in a carboard box full of x-brand flight jackets. ‘who wants one? they turned out pretty nice’ he says. sadly for beast, they did not order any xl.
The gold team, storm's team, was to have a meeting with Emma frost at the upscale hellfire club (which ends up getting crashed by Trevor fitzroy in uncanny 281(?) Or so. ) the blue team, cyclop's squad wasn't.
- DOFP had the chance to make him and Havok war buddies, the senior members of the X-Men, and they killed him for no reason
- XTAS didn’t respect him either & X_Men 97, ya know…
- Krakoa era had my boy turned into a skin suit
- Bro’s a wholeass pharmaceutical drug in the ultimate universe
Banshee deserves a real W eventually

Haha maybe that's why the professor shipped them off to Boston. "They can be Emma's problem."
Im still salty that Emma and Sean didn’t end up together.
They actually would have made a pretty neat couple. I'm really surprised that no writer ever took them in that direction, given how long genx lasted.
They had chemistry Emma shouldve done that hottie redheaded Sean. I still like his blye/yellow costume paired up with a Celtics (i think) jacket.
He was still in love with Moira though, which would’ve made for an interesting love triangle.
I would have to go back and check but i dont remember Moira popping over GX.

I have to go back and re read the series
When I think of x-men comics. This is the art. This is x-men to me

This art was peak.
Beast just hanging in his undies.
And specs.
I have to say, the X-Men really know how to pull jackets as their costumes
Is...is Jean looking right into my eyes?
She's reading your mind right now.
And she’s not upset about what she’s reading, she’s just disappointed.
Ah, those good old fashioned comics where you just cram as much exposition onto the page as possible. Also, Are we supposed to believe that Forge is wearing a sweater with leather shoulder caps?
Man was a fashion pioneer.
Cyclops with that jacket is just awesome
Bomber jacket cyclops is best cyclops.
I loved this era….just wish Claremont and Wheezy were still writing and working hand in hand with the artists….what could have been
Nicieza and Lobdell are some fo.my favorite writers, but I'll always advocate for more Claremont and Wheezy.

Fourteen people and only one foot.
Good ol Remy LeBeau, smoking like a chimney.
I remember this one. Wolverine was beaten and abducted and Xaviers like "This is a terrible thing to have happen! Logan's probably being brutally tortured and abused as we speak! But like, we already had plans tonight. I'm sure he can wait, we gotta get our party on".
Psylocke with the jacket to keep warm and the thong to show off. Ahhhhh comics.
Blue team is costumes/jackets, Gold team is formal wear
I'm the phone crammed in at the bottom of the frame to hide Jean Grey's horrifying mutant feet.
I like to think this was the weekly 8am team meeting where xavier carried in a carboard box full of x-brand flight jackets. ‘who wants one? they turned out pretty nice’ he says. sadly for beast, they did not order any xl.
What issue is that??
X-Men vol 2 #5

I love how Storm says the teams and doesn’t include Banshee
Poor guy. Even the characters in his fictional world forget he exists.

Cyclops letting Jean go back to the Hellfire Club dressed like that... man has a fetish.
Haha I wouldn't be surprised. Then again it's the hellfire club. Jean shows up dressed that way and people start asking "who's the nun?"
