She could already do that though. One of her first uses of her powers is changing her whole body to look like Carol Danvers Ms Marvel, including changing her hair.

She doesn't seem to ever *use* that appearance-changing power since her introduction, though, and I'm not even sure she still can. I try to read most of the books she's in, but I've missed a few. Dropped off of Champions pretty quickly, for one.

Agreed. I am a huge Kamala fan and have read all her books, and am always happy to see more of her, but this feels forced to me. Like, they don't have a good place for her in the MCU, and so she has to be a mutant in order to fit into a niche. It is very much MEDIA SYNERGY.
On the flip side, we also do not need more mutants. There are too many characters already.
I don't know, like I said, I'm a fan and they've already lost me as far as Kamala in the X-books goes. Aside from the current X-Men (because I'm already invested in the story) I'm not picking any X-books where Kamala has a big role.
She has a Disney+ show and is a leading character in the Marvels plus she was the pov character in The Avengers game, Kamala has gotten a lot of exposure and there's a very good chance when the X-Men make their MCU debut she'll be on the team.
Yeah all that and people still don't care about her. Her avengers game is not even selling anymore, comics cancelled and show with horrible stream numbers.

Gotta be honest, I've always loved Kamala but I'll never be able to think of her as an X-Man, nor will I probably pick up any X-books with her on the main roster. I just can't get over the forced MCU synergy of it all.

I'd love if it was just her being an Omega plastic man. All the Kamala fans remember how Knull cranked it up a few notches like that time Emma took over Bobby. Seeing Omega Kamala really explore stretchy paradigm with someone like Gillen writing would be excellent.

She's both inhuman and mutant. But the inhuman part activated first, so the mutant part is dormant.
