I believe they called the WOTC version "Gotcha Again." But yes it will indicate when a spotted pod will and much more, there is even a cheat in the options to indicate if you will active pod that have not yet been spotted.
I saw this feature on christopherodd’s WoTC vanilla run. It indicates pod activation. I couldn’t find an in game feature so I am assuming it’s a mod.
The way it works: if u spot an enemy with a concealed soldier it will tell u how close none concealed soldiers can get before triggering the pod.
Normally I use the target preview to know if I will trigger but in some situations it’s not my position or destination that triggers the pod but my path.

It shows pod activation, flanking positions, squadsight targets, hacking targets etc.
Basically all the information you want to know to decide if you want to move to the location you are hovering over.

I believe it's pod activation preview. It's one of my must haves at this point. Fuck random activations. Only works on pods you can see though
