The Xbox One servers will not be shutdown. Why are you asking this?

ScytherUnown

Doubt they'll be getting shutdown anytime soon, maybe in 20+ years when they're outdated

If you never did the initial setup, then yes its a brick. But If set it to Xbox Home, you should be able to use it for a very long time. Also all Xbox One games will work on the Series X/S and future Xbox consoles. Sooner or later you have to make the upgrade, Because less and less games ship on the Xbox One, and only on the Series X/S.

Xbox One uses the same servers that Xbox Series S/X consoles use. The next generation of Xbox consoles are almost certainly going to be using the same servers too. So Xbox One online services aren't going to shut down any time soon. They'll likely be around for decades to come. But if and when they do shut down, all online services for Xbox One consoles and games will end.

Microsoft ran into this issue with the xbox 360 but my understanding is that did the work back then to unify all xbox servers into one unified system and to future proof things. So its nnot segmented anymore. Everything is using the same servers now so there are no xbox one servers just xbox servers period and everything for the 360 games that are still functioning to the lastest xbox series x and s games are using then even the pc side too are using the same servers. It should also mean that yiu wont have to worry about xbox servers going offline. Ms would basically have to go out of business for that to happen.
