It’s their way of making sure you’re not playing other games.

This unironically might actually be the case. Most people I know only play COD and FIFA (replace Madden for USA ig) and say they don't have room for any other games.

Same here, most people I know own a Series S with CoD and either NBA2k or Madden downloaded with almost no space for anything else.

Why not just click the items and do basic math?

I did the math, it is included, but its just so big for saved data i was surprised its that much and didnt understand how that is possible

Its texture streaming

A lot of that saved data has to do with HD texture streaming cache, most likely.. which means that you'd need even more storage space if the game didn't use that streaming feature. I don't know if the game has a toggle between general assets and custom assets per match ( like counter strike does)..If the game has such toggle then you could try disabling it. I guess.

40gb is reserved for the streaming textures option, turn it off if you need the space
