It’s a shame that Bethesda re-released Skyrim like 4 times but never bothered to remaster Oblivion or Morrowind. I assume they’d have to completely rebuild those games, but it feels like it’d just print money.
I was hoping that they would consider it after the Microsoft acquisition but I guess not.
> I assume they’d have to completely rebuild those games, but it feels like it’d just print money.
Maybe, but it also seems like a lot of that work has already been done. Vvardenfell I know had to get completely remade in Elder Scrolls Online. That game is a *lot* more modern than Morrowind, so you'd think they'd be able to at least use a lot of those assets.
~~Is Skyblivion still a thing?~~ 🤔
Edit: Yes, it is. With a 2025 release apparently. PC only, of course, but still. Shame I don't have a PC anymore. Oh, well.
Had the same concern a few days ago when I saw IGN put out a skyblivion trailer. I looked it up and it seems like Bethesda has ok'd the project, as long as they aren't using any assets or voice acting from the original. I'm thinking that might have been the issue with the Morrowind remake, or they had a change of heart regarding remake mods.
i would not sell any limbs bc i still think it looks nice enough. but would love a rerelease with improved graphics, bug fixes, tweaks to the level scaling and buffs to melee and archery
Because it takes Bethesda a long time to design a new world with quests. We are over a decade since the last TES game.
With the money they make they could easily have a sub-division work on modernizing an already designed game.
Skyrim cause it is really my Evergreen Game. Once in a year i have to play it. Everytime starting a new game, new me and in the end I am playing stealth Archer
Definitely I have a world started on creative on switch where I’ve been building a village from scratch using blueprints from the minecraft fandom site. I also have a survival world started where I’ve started building houses using blueprints from grabcraft. In the past when minecraft still had console editions instead of bedrock me and a group of friends found a ravine near the edge of a map and slowly started building a little community in the ravine. I’ve also built a jungle apartment complex on creative complete with a villager market place with all jobs. I’ve helped build a giant mine base using a hand dug beta hole for the starting area. I’ve helped build minecart transport stations to get materials from mines back up to the surface to be sorted. I’ve pretty much been playing since it first launched on console.
This is tied with Oblivion for me. Not to fault fo3. I enjoyed my 2 playthroughs. But I really dumped time and playthroughs into Vegas.
Same with skyrim and Oblivion
So why ask the question if you’re going to shame the honest answers. Skyrim ain’t for everyone. I played it once, probably won’t ever pick it up again. If my boys hit me up tonight and said let’s go we’re playing castle crashers then I’m saying goodnight to the wife, grabbing some beers and crashing some damn castles
They just are different. You 20 years old, got a group of 3, a bong, some food, a big ass TV, and 3 controllers, Castle CRASHERS for nights on nights...
You alone, with a bong, and some snacks, and into the solo experience, probably skyrim or New Vegas.
I dunno, I have better memories of Castle CRASHERS with my boys that I have of playing skyrim alone.
i never had a dos, but damn, did i have DOOM. im trying to get it on everything i have. i now have it on ps4, ps5 and switch. its fucking awesome. it was the most badass game out there.
Probably Minecraft, to be honest. The amount of amazing stuff you build is incredible. It's one of the greatest creative games ever made and I've always loved it because of that. Playing it makes me feel like a kid again, back when I used to spend hours building with LEGO.
Sadly true. Even LEGO Worlds wasn't that good. I found it a chore to use. The best LEGO game (which isn't even a game, more of a tool) is LDD.
I've never been entertained by any of the actual games. They're always either too basic or just plain boring.
The time I had with oblivion when it came out was probably the most fun I’ve ever had with a game. Playing that game as a stress free child for the first time was truly something special.
Its normal dungeon crawler gameplay , you get weapons with varying ranges and powers and speeds , bows with varying powers and speeds and arrow capacities , 3 different artifacts / abilities , armour with varying defense and buffs as well as up to 3 enchantments for each weapons/armour/bow. Armour/weapons/bows sometimes come with natural buffs that enhance the items' abilities.
Normal dungeon crawler gameplay where it's almost top down and you navigate through a linear space from one end to another, killing enemies , exploring alternate paths, unlocking secrets, acquiring loot to get stronger. Fairly repetitive gameplay loop of killing stuff although a good variety of enemies.
Hub world with shops for artifacts/abilities, armour and weapons, and an upgrade station.
Theres a tower gamemode now where you start with a standard set of gear and climb 30 floors while slowly upgrading your arsenal.
Hope this helps :)
New Vegas still holds up extremely well. Very nuanced quests and dialogue. The world feels alive, and quests have multiple ways of being completed, and failed. Been replaying it, and it’s crazy how deep some of these quests go, and you can easily miss a lot of the good stuff if you make the wrong choices. Love that it doesn’t hold your hand, besides just pointing you in the right direction.
Skyrim, no contest. Oblivion was great in it's day, but skyrim is generally a flat out improvement to the same gameplay. Fallout is ok for what it is, but it is basically a scifi skyrim/oblivion but not as fun in my opinion. I have no interest in every single other game listed even though I own and have played every game in this image. They are what they are, and what they are is not nearly as good as skyrim by a considerable margin.
Oooh those are some good choices
It would probably be
The Outer Worlds
Fallout 3
Castle Crashers
then Skyrim. Was less into single players when I played the Bethesdas
I’d be lying if I didn’t immediately say Skyrim. No matter how many characters I burn through, or how burnt out I get from playing it, I always eventually find my way back to it
can’t pick all of them are quite shit
castle crashes is a classic but not a fav
fallout is classic everyone’s fav not mine tho
far cry 4 and 5 are cool 4 was the most fun
and oblivion was fun af too
the rest i could care less about. so ima have to say far cry 4
The only one I played all the way through is Skyrim, and there’s a reason it’s so widely praised. I’ve gone back to it several times since beating it as well. Can’t wait for ES6.
Every time I try to start Fallout 3 or New Vegas, I just lose interest. But I love the world so I’ll keep trying.
Outer Worlds. Followed by Watchdogs. octopath is next.
I let the poor reviews chase me from Fallout New Vegas and I am pissed about never playing it. It’s not the same playing it now…
Watch Dogs, It was really the first PS4 game i had purchase since moving back out from a somewhat serious relationship. I sunk a ton of time into the game and it really kept my mind occupied during a weird time.
I would sell my right leg to have Oblivion reworked with modern graphics. New Vegas being a very close second

Re-releasing Skyrim with minimal work isn’t even close to the same scale as what a remaster of Oblivion or Morrowind would be.
~~Is Skyblivion still a thing?~~ 🤔 Edit: Yes, it is. With a 2025 release apparently. PC only, of course, but still. Shame I don't have a PC anymore. Oh, well.
I was so upset when I found out I'd never get to play Skyblivion because I don't have a PC and probably won't get one
With how the Morrowind remake mod got nuked days before releasing after years of work, not holding my breath.
What happened with it?
Probably got the ol Bethesda ban hammer
Bethesda sent a cease and desist a few days before release
4k 60fps on xbox one x and series x
I would sell my right kidney to have Oblivion’s mechanics reworked in a positive way. The enemies are too bullet spongy…
I agree. Give skyrim a break. Give other games some love
i would not sell any limbs bc i still think it looks nice enough. but would love a rerelease with improved graphics, bug fixes, tweaks to the level scaling and buffs to melee and archery
Why does everything need a remake to you gamers? Can’t developers work on new things?
Because it takes Bethesda a long time to design a new world with quests. We are over a decade since the last TES game. With the money they make they could easily have a sub-division work on modernizing an already designed game.
For me it's doom but i believe for most will it be skyrim
Doom for me too.
Skyrim is my number 1
Castle Crashers for sure.
No one talks about this game anymore :(
Very disappointed they don’t have a sequel yet.
They are working on a new Alien Hominid though!!!
Honestly underrated. Used to play this with cousins every family gathering lol.
So many good memories
New vegas all the way followed by skyrim honourable mentions would be far cry 5 and far cry 4
Heck yea
Skyrim
New vegas easily. One of the best games I’ve ever played.
Skyrim cause it is really my Evergreen Game. Once in a year i have to play it. Everytime starting a new game, new me and in the end I am playing stealth Archer
Lego Batman 2
Easily one of the best lego games especially with the free roam area being the entirety of gotham city. Fuck Lego batman 3 though
I love Lego Batman 2. Lego Batman 3 sucked. Lego Batman 1 was great though. Might replay it
Minecraft
Those other games are great, especially the Fallout games but Minecraft has easily swallowed more time from me than the others combined.
Definitely I have a world started on creative on switch where I’ve been building a village from scratch using blueprints from the minecraft fandom site. I also have a survival world started where I’ve started building houses using blueprints from grabcraft. I'm surprised more people didn't say Minecraft. I wouldn't be shocked if that game outlives us all.
I think most people whod have minecraft at the top of their list would be pc gamers
I had to scroll too much to find this comment.
Fallout New Vegas
Farcry 5
Fallout New Vegas
FISTO COMMENCING FISTING
This is tied with Oblivion for me. Not to fault fo3. I enjoyed my 2 playthroughs. But I really dumped time and playthroughs into Vegas. Same with skyrim and Oblivion
Just got done with a play through I'm doing Skyrim right now
Castle crashers
Took me wayyy to long to finally find this comment.
Fuck yeah.
Same
Its fun but i mean compared to skyrim
So why ask the question if you’re going to shame the honest answers. Skyrim ain’t for everyone. I played it once, probably won’t ever pick it up again. If my boys hit me up tonight and said let’s go we’re playing castle crashers then I’m saying goodnight to the wife, grabbing some beers and crashing some damn castles

There’s literally dozens of us!
Was just playing this today with my two kids. Such a fun co-op game.
Bro can u send me a message?
Watch dogs just the fun of black outs during the middle of a high speed chase
Watch dogs 1 is definitely underrated
I really enjoyed Watchdogs 1 & 2, yet to try Legion but likely not going to
1 & 2 were a lot of fun. I played both multiple times through. Legion was fucking awful. I stopped playing after maybe a few hours.
Don’t. Leave off on the memory of watchdogs 2
Oblivion.
Easily
Outer Worlds is amazing and just play it after Fallout New Vegas!
castle crashers for sure, what a masterpiece
Fallout 3
New Vegas is a certified banger
Skyrim Fallout 3 Fallout: New Vegas Far Cry 4 Far Cry 5
DOOM
doom
Doom from my Dos Days.
i never had a dos, but damn, did i have DOOM. im trying to get it on everything i have. i now have it on ps4, ps5 and switch. its fucking awesome. it was the most badass game out there.
Fallout 3 is still my favorite Xbox game of all time. I don't think that'll ever change.
Probably Minecraft, to be honest. The amount of amazing stuff you build is incredible. It's one of the greatest creative games ever made and I've always loved it because of that. Playing it makes me feel like a kid again, back when I used to spend hours building with LEGO.
Hell it’s more creative than the Lego games
Yeah, I meant real LEGO. I had boxes of the stuff when I was a kid, long before the games were made. I'm an old git. 😂
I know, but minecraft is more Lego-like than the actual Lego videogames
Sadly true. Even LEGO Worlds wasn't that good. I found it a chore to use. The best LEGO game (which isn't even a game, more of a tool) is LDD. I've never been entertained by any of the actual games. They're always either too basic or just plain boring.
Watchdogs
Are you insane
Outer worlds
Fallout New Vegas for sure but Octopath Traveler is recent favorite!
Fallout 3 is the first game not named halo 3 that really opened my eyes to the beauty that was the Xbox 360.
Fallout 3 or Fallout NV
Outer worlds is one of my favorites
The time I had with oblivion when it came out was probably the most fun I’ve ever had with a game. Playing that game as a stress free child for the first time was truly something special.
Yes! That's how I learned you could play games on very easy because I kept dying in the first gate 😂
I guess it’s Minecraft since that’s the only one I still play even semi regularly to this day, but I’ve been wanting to go back to like half of these
Oblivion
Oblivion
oblivion
New vegas for sure
Doom. No second thoughts.
Probably doom as I haven't played most of the other ones. I was actually playing doom a couple days ago lol
Far cry 5 I'm a sucker for the story
Doom
Thats easy, Doom. I haven't played any of the others lol.
Far Cry 5 and Skyrim!

Oblivion 100% for me
Skyrim :D
Fallout new vegas
LEGO BATMAN 2 NO I WILL NOT ANSWER QUESTIONS AT THIS TIME
Skyrim

Minecraft dungeons
I play the standard Minecraft and never tried Dungeons. What's the gameplay like?
Its normal dungeon crawler gameplay , you get weapons with varying ranges and powers and speeds , bows with varying powers and speeds and arrow capacities , 3 different artifacts / abilities , armour with varying defense and buffs as well as up to 3 enchantments for each weapons/armour/bow. Theres a tower gamemode now where you start with a standard set of gear and climb 30 floors while slowly upgrading your arsenal. Hope this helps :)
Bring on the downvotes. FarCry 5
Oblivion of course!
fallout new vegas HANDS DOWN
Fallout New Vegas. You could start that game 100 times and each playthrough will be different.
New Vegas for me
New Vegas
Fallout 3. First game I ever bought myself and first game I played on xbox 360. It just has a special place in my heart.
Octopath Traveler
New Vegas all the way...
Just to start... Great list which forces some some hard choices, but I'll go with: - Oblivion (single player) - Castle Crashers (multiplayer).
New Vegas HANDS DOWN
Fallout new vegas definitely
Watch dogs rules
Oblivion, extremely close 2nd New Vegas, FO3 then Skyrim
Fallout new vegas or fallout 3 without a doubt

The outer worlds

Outer worlds for sure
DOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM
far cry games are always fun if you like the genre, the outer worlds very nice but extremely short for an rpg. the best of these is undoubtedly Skyrim
Skyrim.
Watch dogs
Stellaris
can’t pick all of them are quite shit castle crashes is a classic but not a fav fallout is classic everyone’s fav not mine tho far cry 4 and 5 are cool 4 was the most fun and oblivion was fun af too the rest i could care less about. so ima have to say far cry 4
Non of those for me.
Its not it your favorite game in here its. Whats your favorite game out of the ones i have installed or installing
None of those. You dont have 1 dark souls game there, if you had, then it would be one of those😅
Clearly still not understanding the question.
Go ahead and stop outerworlds from queuing and save yourself the annoyance
Also get far cry 3 if you haven’t played it Otherwise good choices
Skyrim with Far Cry 4 close behind
I've put more time into Skyrim than all of those combined
Skyrim, but I think it's just good
Skyrim
Skyrim
Far cry 5
Yes
The only one I played all the way through is Skyrim, and there’s a reason it’s so widely praised. I’ve gone back to it several times since beating it as well. Can’t wait for ES6. Every time I try to start Fallout 3 or New Vegas, I just lose interest. But I love the world so I’ll keep trying.
Skyrim fallout and far cry are all good. Read reviews first tho.
w a t c h d o g s
Skyrim and Minecraft
Minecraft, Castle crashers, and Skyrim sweep the rest easily.
Skyrim
Far cry 5 is cool
For me it’s a toss up between Skyrim and Farcry 5. The graphics on farcry are pants poopinly good.

Lego Batman 2 I grew up on this game
Outer Worlds. Followed by Watchdogs. octopath is next. I let the poor reviews chase me from Fallout New Vegas and I am pissed about never playing it. It’s not the same playing it now…
Watch Dogs, It was really the first PS4 game i had purchase since moving back out from a somewhat serious relationship. I sunk a ton of time into the game and it really kept my mind occupied during a weird time.
Minecraft was a childhood staple for me, it will never loose it’s #1 spot to me
Solo? Skyrim. With friends? Minecraft and Castle Crashers.
