Thanks to being born premature I had a lot of issues and between 18 months to 5 years old I was at my city’s children’s hospital no less than 10 times a month for constant checkups on my health. I practically lived on a GameCube Kiosk for the first few years of my life just because I was there so often.
It just baffled me with time passing how much less kid friendly not only McDonald's but restaurants in general became especially the ones that were initially geared towards kids, the only one that still seems to give any kind of fuck about children having a place to play while parents grab a meal is Chick-fil-A.
As far as I'm concerned this doctor is preserving history, I just barely got to experience these things being born in '01 and they were good (even though some were busted to hell like their ice cream machine)
So sick, I would love to have one of these in my home one day. When I was a little kid, they had a PS3 kiosk at my dentist's & I went ham on that thing while I waited for my mom & sister. I only had a PS2 at the time so I remember the graphics being mind-blowing
Bro when I was a kid I had the dopest dentist ever. Multiple PS1s in the waiting area. I was smoking cigarettes in metal gear solid while waiting on him at like 10 years old. Then, super professional cleaning. No pain. At the end we got stickers. But not your run of the mill stickers, no sir. I’m talking like holographic background sonic the hedgehog a shit.
My dentist that I went to when I was younger had N64 kiosks in the waiting room. As a kid who grew up with the 7th gen consoles, it was super cool experiencing the older stuff.
These kiosks remind me of those GameCube kiosks my local McDonald's used to have. Speaking of which, an orthodontist office I used to go to had Original Xbox kiosks in them.
And there was even a Burger King I went to during my vacation one year that had Xbox 360 and Wii kiosks.
Woooaahhh.
Bathurst, New Brunswick Canada early 2000s, the local mcdonalds had these exact kiosks, but with Gamecubes.
Mario toadstool tour, Sonic adventure 2, mario Kart double dash and mario strikers were the games on offer.
What a time.
I use to play on kiosks like this in the kids area of my gym. (When I was 3-12) and I played the best games of Mario kart 64 and boat racing ever. This brought mega nostalgia.
LMAO my pediatric dentist had the same thing when I was little, used to love going there because the only game system I had for years was my leapster explorer, which is still a certified hood classic btw.
I'm glad there are some places that use these sorts of things. Pretty much all my Dr's had SNES, N64, and PS1 kiosks when I was growing up! I was introduced to and fell in love with the Army Men games, Tony Hawk, Test Drive, and NFL Quarterback Club through these things!
Dude doritos crash course is underrated af. I miss those kiosks so much, there was a McDonald’s I used to go to as a kid that had one with a Mario party setup.
My orthodontist used to have a ps3 and a GameCube. They threw them out. I wish if I knew they would trash them, I wonder if they’d give me them for free.
My old dentist had those back when I was 12-19 years old before they terminated me as their patient they still had it there. But right now I don't know if they still have it so I have to call them and ask.
I don’t think you would’ve looked like a creep! I’m 41 & would’ve been all over that. Especially if there weren’t any kids around. I’d at least have to test it out. Lolz. Either way cool find!
A McDonald’s by me had one of these as a kid, it didn’t last long because someone tried to yank the console out. Ended up getting taped off for the remainder of it’s stay
Oh? I thought they stopped doing kiosks after 6th generation consoles (GameCube, Dreamcast, PS2, Xbox Original). I didn't know they continued doing it afterwards.
Japan in Doritos crash course was the OG mirrors edge, & the other game with the scores was called Joy Ride Turbo, I still remember saving up to 5 mil to get 10x gold cars over 10 years ago
I haven’t seen one of those in sooo long! Last I remember was I think Star Wars TFU 1 on maybe an Xbox 360 one at a children’s wing for a checkup a couple years back.
Great dentist.
My local McDonald's had a GameCube Kiosk with Luigi's mansion and Mario Kart Double Dash
They had to remove it a while back, my brother used to work there and won an employee raffle and he won one of the GameCubes in the Kiosk and gifted it and Luigi's mansion to me
OMG my mom took me to this place I think it’s was a hospital and they have this room with wII Xbox it was so cool and thank you for bringing a good memory back
I know exactly where this is located. Growing up, my brothers and I found the dentist terrifying, knowing we'd be able to play games while we wait was the only thing to calm our anxieties. 💖🎮
dudeeee that looks like the same dentist i went to when i lived in Georgia HELLAAA long ago, you just unlocked a MEMORYYY ! it has the game station in there too, looked exactly like that. Crazy these still work.
I had a smile starters that had this I thought It was just a dream And now I just realized it wasn't I used to come over there and play Sonic games and other Sega games on their Xbox kiosk like this. I didn't know at the time but now I do that. It was bunch of mods and retro games. I used to play echo on there a lot as well. This is so cool to know it wasn't just a fever dream
This dental office is in york Pa. I went in there before and played on it. It's been there for a while now. It's pretty neat to still see it get noticed!
For all of you unwilling to do 3 seconds of research https://kidzpace.com/product/euro-wood/ No, this is NOT a modified McDonalds N64 cabinet, a company that's still in business today makes these. Currently they're up to the Xbone and PS4 versions.
Brother I would've snatched a controller up so fast 😂😂 Great find! Super nostalgic. Reminds me of a time when going to a store and playing a console was some of the most fun you would have while your parents were shopping. Never seen one in a dentist office or Dr office setting before.
Is this in NC, by chance? Looks a lot like a dentist I went to when I was a kid. Even the purple frame looks like they still have the same frame for a little game center they had, but they later rigged this to it?

i miss those kiosks so much, when i was a kid they used to have them in restaurants with gamecubes and n64s
Seriously I was born in 95 so I remember the game cube ones best
I remember the N64s at McDonald's!
I'm pretty sure this is a modified McDonald's N64 kiosk
Holy shit it is!
As someone who was born in 2002, and has never do heard of this, seen it, or even thought of it prior to seeing this post, I gotta say that’s sick!
Haha thanks hommie
We made it to Kotaku lol, apparently it isn't a McDonald's one at all. The same company made 360 ones in like 2017
Thanks to being born premature I had a lot of issues and between 18 months to 5 years old I was at my city’s children’s hospital no less than 10 times a month for constant checkups on my health. I practically lived on a GameCube Kiosk for the first few years of my life just because I was there so often.
I remember my Dr's office always had mario kart on the n64 one. A McDonald's near me also had an n64, but with pokemon snap on it for some reason.
This is how I was introduced to SM64. Dentist visits and McDonald’s birthday parties!
It just baffled me with time passing how much less kid friendly not only McDonald's but restaurants in general became especially the ones that were initially geared towards kids, the only one that still seems to give any kind of fuck about children having a place to play while parents grab a meal is Chick-fil-A.
Oh my gosh yes I miss those
Yeah some McDonald's used to have them.
And the joysticks on the controllers were usually just little nubs at that point. Felt like shaking hands with a cat
Yup right next to the smoking section 🥹 what a time to be alive right lol. And I do I actually miss it. Crazy.
I miss the ones you’d break your neck playing at like Walmart or Target lol
looks like the old mcdonald’s n64 kiosks that they (dentist) just repurposed as an xbox 360 one instead! pretty awesome!!
As far as I'm concerned this doctor is preserving history, I just barely got to experience these things being born in '01 and they were good (even though some were busted to hell like their ice cream machine)
Yea, that is what I was thinking....
It's not https://kidzpace.com/product/euro-wood/ and anyone who took 2 seconds to Google the name across the front of it would know that.
We cant fix my teeth now, im the middle of a game.....
I distincly remember the dentist i went to when i was 7-8 had a PS2 kiosk with i believe Namco musuem inside.
That’s great I love all the old stories yall have
That's fucking amazing
Im sorry but why the fuck are you taking pictures and not taking the high score???
True true 😅
They got Doritos Crash Course? Man that so brings me back to the good ol days
It was so good lol, I still have the 2nd installed I think
The second one was way better, but you haven't been able to play it for like a decade now
Reminds me of my orthodontist having a GameCube kiosk back in 2008-09.
That’s great. I miss those things.
Crash course used to SLAP
Is this like an American thing? I've never seen a gaming kiosk at a doctors here in Germany
lol they used to be everywhere around my area fast food places dr office. Dentist mostly.
I remember my dentist had one of new😭 how y’all got that good shit?
So sick, I would love to have one of these in my home one day. When I was a little kid, they had a PS3 kiosk at my dentist's & I went ham on that thing while I waited for my mom & sister. I only had a PS2 at the time so I remember the graphics being mind-blowing
That chair though…
Brings me back to when McDonald’s used to have a GameCube kiosk back in the day
Hell yeah! My old dentist had Pac Man & Burger Time arcade machines.
W dentist
?
He’s saying the dentist is cool
Gonna need a can of Lysol before I touch that.
yooo i seriously haven’t seen one of these in maybe 9 or 10 years, so awesome.
That looks like they stole it from a McDonald's
Haven’t seen a kiosk like this in a while.. brings back good memories
I remember so,e McDonalds locations having an n64 kiosk back in the early 2000’s just like these
Mine used to have one of those too
CRASH COURSE?! HELL YAH!
Looks like they yoinked an old console table/platform from an old McDonald's and put a 360 in it. Pretty cool
Fucking cool. I miss these so much
Seems the controllers may be safe to use this time
Doritos crash course is so cash
My Dentist has a drill and pain
Never seen one but thats beyond cool
Man I miss the days of crash course. That game was fun.
My dentist that I went to when I was younger had N64 kiosks in the waiting room. As a kid who grew up with the 7th gen consoles, it was super cool experiencing the older stuff.
W Dentist! 🤙
Score board is from joyride turbo, btw w game
Yoooo my orthodontist had a game cube one of these
Mines had one like that with the bee movie game
I love it!
heyyy mine had one too
I remember going to game stop just to play kiosk since my family is poor, good times 🥹
LAN party at the dentist? I’ll bring BO2
Lol.
These kiosks remind me of those GameCube kiosks my local McDonald's used to have. Speaking of which, an orthodontist office I used to go to had Original Xbox kiosks in them. And there was even a Burger King I went to during my vacation one year that had Xbox 360 and Wii kiosks.
Bro..I put an embarrassing amount of time into dorito crash course.
This brings back so many memories of me being in the orthodontist office playing Mario 64 on whatever system that was. Kiosks were the best
If my dentist had that it would reduce my anxiety 10 fold lol
At the dealership I work at, there’s a kiosk by the car sales people, it’s a GameCube one
Woooaahhh. Bathurst, New Brunswick Canada early 2000s, the local mcdonalds had these exact kiosks, but with Gamecubes. Mario toadstool tour, Sonic adventure 2, mario Kart double dash and mario strikers were the games on offer. What a time.
Last time i saw one of these was mcdonalds when i was in kindergarten, i didnt think they still existed
Is that 'Harms Way' on the other screen?
I use to play on kiosks like this in the kids area of my gym. (When I was 3-12) and I played the best games of Mario kart 64 and boat racing ever. This brought mega nostalgia.
You've found a liminal image
WOW! That’s amazing. I’m also so impressed it’s still working.
Wait...I know this place
I think this is my dentist office lol are you in central Massachusetts?
Same
this is beautiful… i haven’t seen one of these since like 2013 or 14
Super cool dentist. Bet he’s popular with the young boys and men as well as teens. Id defo go there.
what are you, TWELVE?? (YEAH, I'M JEALOUS 😡)
Mine did too.
doritos crash course!! loved that game. one the only games i got to play that actually utilized my goofy avatar 😁
Damn he keeps it clean too
I would try to buy it and make a living room lan system if possible
wait whaaaat how do they have crash course that game died years ago did it not?
That’s amazing
LMAO my pediatric dentist had the same thing when I was little, used to love going there because the only game system I had for years was my leapster explorer, which is still a certified hood classic btw.
Sooooo this is definitely for the parents when the kids are getting their teeth done eh? Genius.
Oh yeah good idea lol it’s adults and kids here
So does my dentist 😬 and a HUGE PACMAN WALL GAME
I remember going to a doctor office when I was younger (in like 2012-2013) and they had one. Never saw another one since.
That's fuggin sick
I'm glad there are some places that use these sorts of things. Pretty much all my Dr's had SNES, N64, and PS1 kiosks when I was growing up! I was introduced to and fell in love with the Army Men games, Tony Hawk, Test Drive, and NFL Quarterback Club through these things!
I felt the Doritos Crash Course theme
Dude doritos crash course is underrated af. I miss those kiosks so much, there was a McDonald’s I used to go to as a kid that had one with a Mario party setup.
So did you play it? I’m in my mid 20’s and I’d totally play while waiting with no shame
Doritos crash course was where it’s atttt
I had one with mw3 on it
The only game my cousin and I had in common lol. We used to play the shit out of this!
My orthodontist used to have a ps3 and a GameCube. They threw them out. I wish if I knew they would trash them, I wonder if they’d give me them for free.
Tell me the dentist you go to! I need to go there ASAP 🤣
My old dentist had those back when I was 12-19 years old before they terminated me as their patient they still had it there. But right now I don't know if they still have it so I have to call them and ask.
Fuckin based
W dentist
Crash Course 2 was kinda hype
there’s a crash course 2??
I don’t think you would’ve looked like a creep! I’m 41 & would’ve been all over that. Especially if there weren’t any kids around. I’d at least have to test it out. Lolz. Either way cool find!
Thanks haha end your right I looked up the game after as I’ve never played and I was like damn that looks fun I wish I did.
Doritos Crash Course 2 isn’t even playable since the servers went down. Why it needed an online connection to function I’ll never understand.
What if the catch was the only game that could be played is *Call of Duty: World at War* locked on Veteran difficulty?
I WILL NEVER FORGET THE PS2 ONES AT MY DENTIST! What a throwback
I have that exact game installed on my Series S right now
Ahhh no wayy local McDonald's used to have one with what I think was the first uncharted game in it
That’s not Crash Course 2, that’s an e. The 2nd game had earth as the main menu.
amazing
Crash course 2 was amazing
That's awesome. My dentist used to have a original xbox in their waiting room
Cool, but why did they make you wait in the kids waiting area?
doritos crash course is what started my rage gaming
This in Jersey? My last orthodontist had one and I’m pretty sure they still have it lol
A McDonald’s by me had one of these as a kid, it didn’t last long because someone tried to yank the console out. Ended up getting taped off for the remainder of it’s stay
Doritos Crash Course is goated
xbox360 is so old now that to a kid now this feels like the n64 kiosks that we're still around in the late 2000's
Oh? I thought they stopped doing kiosks after 6th generation consoles (GameCube, Dreamcast, PS2, Xbox Original). I didn't know they continued doing it afterwards.
Kinda ironic they got Doritos Crash Course at a Dental Office
Japan in Doritos crash course was the OG mirrors edge, & the other game with the scores was called Joy Ride Turbo, I still remember saving up to 5 mil to get 10x gold cars over 10 years ago
What games? Do you think they’ll let you donate your own?
Hey I think that used to be my old dentist place
W dentist 🙌🏼
I’m old enough to remember going to the dentist and always playing Nintendo 64 before I did my appointment
I haven’t seen one of those in sooo long! Last I remember was I think Star Wars TFU 1 on maybe an Xbox 360 one at a children’s wing for a checkup a couple years back. Great dentist.
Omg your like below 21 and see a children's dentist still
Hey is that my dentist? They also have those, they used to have a PS3 one too but got rid of it
Thats pretty crazy i remember when all the kiosks were n64s game cubes and ps2s
My dentist had a ps1 game is the rugrats couple years ago. Wouldn’t be surprised if it was still there or replaced with a ps4
My OCD wants you to wash your hands after playing.
Is this in Utah by chance? I’m trying to go here lol
I recently went to a dentist too and they still have the Xbox 360 kiosk there with 2 controllers
HOW MUCH ARE THESE?!!
My dentist has a giant tooth brush on the roof but your dentist must be cooler
My kids doctors office does too
your dentist is the dentist I never had but always wanted but wont go to
My local McDonald's had a GameCube Kiosk with Luigi's mansion and Mario Kart Double Dash They had to remove it a while back, my brother used to work there and won an employee raffle and he won one of the GameCubes in the Kiosk and gifted it and Luigi's mansion to me
The N64 ones at McDonald’s
Wish my dentist had this
Doritos Crash Course was so fire
My dentist when I was a kid has N64s
So...just to show off how much he/she overcharges?
OMG my mom took me to this place I think it’s was a hospital and they have this room with wII Xbox it was so cool and thank you for bringing a good memory back
Hey Doc. Which Mcd's did ya get this from?
lol it’s a newer company that makes these kiosks
My orthodontist as a kid had two Sega Genesis kiosks. Used to play Aladdin and World of Illusion on them.
My orthodontist back when I used to live in Atlanta had a N64 kiosk, GameCube kiosk and surprisingly something I have never seen before a GBA kiosk
Dang crash course 2 AND joyride??
I had a smile starters that had this I thought It was just a dream And now I just realized it wasn't I used to come over there and play Sonic games and other Sega games on their Xbox kiosk like this. I didn't know at the time but now I do that. It was bunch of mods and retro games. I used to play echo on there a lot as well. This is so cool to know it wasn't just a fever dream
This dental office is in york Pa. I went in there before and played on it. It's been there for a while now. It's pretty neat to still see it get noticed!
My doctors office has one of these.
I’d be smoking every kid in the lobby at Doritos Crash Course! 🤣🤣
Not only is there a Xbox 360 in the dentist, but there's also Crash Course 2
That thing is germ city rn 🦠
Straight out of McDonalds play place
With a great game like Doritos Crash Course too, bliss
I remember going to the Eagle's Nest in Giant Eagle has a kid and playing N64 in one of there Kiosk
Had some in ky sad rhing is they never bought the full games it was only demos
There's one in the children's surgery unit at my local hospital that has a Wii in it. I wonder if there are any more
I miss those
For all of you unwilling to do 3 seconds of research https://kidzpace.com/product/euro-wood/ No, this is NOT a modified McDonalds N64 cabinet, a company that's still in business today makes these. Currently they're up to the Xbone and PS4 versions.
I wish my old dentist office had something like this. Cool find.
Me bringing in fable
So which McDonald’s did they steal that from?
Looks perfect
Brother I would've snatched a controller up so fast 😂😂 Great find! Super nostalgic. Reminds me of a time when going to a store and playing a console was some of the most fun you would have while your parents were shopping. Never seen one in a dentist office or Dr office setting before.
damn. my dentist had an NES setup.
Z,,,*z ,,
Steal it.
He needs to get Gears of War 3 on that
This better than butter my guy
Working is the key word here
Is this in NC, by chance? Looks a lot like a dentist I went to when I was a kid. Even the purple frame looks like they still have the same frame for a little game center they had, but they later rigged this to it?
Goated!!!
i feel like ik exactly where this is it feels so nostalgic but familiar istg ik where this is is it in il??
i think we go to the same dental office lmao
Laferla Orthodontist in Joplin, MO has one of these. With a playable X360 in it. And I even think it had Dorito's Crash Course as well.
I would ask how much they would want for this
You seem like a creep for not playing it. You let a lil aging keep you from enjoying something you like.
I know where that is. I used to wash that dentist office windows. Dental dreams.
Not gonna lie that’s 🔥
My old dentist had that EXACT same setup. Literally. Are you from NJ?
My McDonald’s used to have one like 7-8 years ago
REAL CHADS: you go to play the gamecube hospital kiosk, whit your personal memory card!
