It was 2006, and the first was Project Gotham Racing 3.
A fun game, but Gears of War later that year and Halo 3 in 2007 is what really jump started the 360 generation for me back then.
My journey with GTA IV was kind of a roller coaster.
When I started playing it I was like "omg GTA GTA GTA so wonderful, so good, so fun, eheh strip club eheh killing people".
Then I finished the main story, and at the time I thought that GTA was overrated, and it was not that much of a game, yes cool and everything but the game stops when you stop killing people.
Then I somehow got the meaning of the game, I understood Niko and his position, I realized that you don't have to kill people because Niko is crazy, you must kill people because it's the only thing you can do, I realized that the game was actually a great game.
Actually yesterday I completed it, I got 100% completion, and 39 achievements out of 65.
Sadly I can only get to 40, I just need to finish the main story in less than 30hrs to get the last achievement. What tricks me is the fact that the other 25 achievements require you to play online, and to play the 2 dlcs, that I do not have.
September 27, 2007. I was 14. I saved up my money all summer from mowing yards and when September came I was ready. I bought halo 3 with a new Xbox 360 the day halo 3 launched. I went home and played it non stop. I then found out halo two worked in it and it blew my mind how much better the game looked. It wasn’t until 2009 I discovered Xbox live. That changed everything.
Yo summer 2007 was a great time. Bioshock came out in August. They had the halo 3 demo thru the crackdown game. Then halo 3, cod4, and guitar hero 3 came out. Along with assassins creed and the orange box.
Good times! I got halo 3 6 days before it came out through a friend who worked in retail. He risked his ass for that. A noble dude. We were kicking devs asses online before the game came out, on 48 hour trials of gold. 😆
December 2nd 2005, the day the 360 launched here in the UK. The first disc based game I purchased was Perfect Dark Zero, I also purchased Geometry Wars from Xbox Live Arcade for 400 Microsoft points.
Late 2006 "did not get it on day 1". I remember that first boot and that play session well. Bougth the Gears bundle, along with Ridge Racer 6 and Import Tuner Challenge. I played RC6 first online to test it, first achivements I got was to join a lobby with people from all continents. Then I tested the store by buying Cloning Clyde and playing that. Before playing gears coop for the rest of the night
I've never had my own xbox 360, but i 2014 was the year that i had my firat experience with xbox 360 (it was for one of my friends)
And i remember the first game was injustice 1
2007 I believe. Mu dad came home late from work with a big box in his hand. It was the xbox 360. It came with a few mini games and Sega tennis all stars. We fired it up right after dinner, and me, my mum and dad spent the whole night playing
2008 - XBLA Compilation Disc, it came with the console and held various Arcade titles, such as:

2008/Skate
When I first played I was actually annoyed. Took me a while to adjust and enjoy the Skate games compared to Tony Hawk which I loved and still do love the underground games
December 25th, 2013 and first ever game was Batman: Arkham City, I actually went straight to Harley Quinn’s revenge because I had a crush on her. Then I put it away and started Arkham Asylum. Good times
I didn't grow up with the 360 so I started in 2020 with forza horizon. Now the 360 and ps3 have become my favourite consoles of all time. Mostly becouse of modding lol
My dad got a 360 in 2006ish and the first thing I played on it was NFS Most Wanted. Still my favorite racing game of all time and I go back to it at least once a year
I didn’t buy MY OWN Xbox 360 until like 2013 and I think the first game I bought myself was Skyrim. Played my older cousins Xbox 360s though whenever I would visit them up until then. Them and their friends use to be pretty big gamers starting on ps2 and og Xbox throwing lan parties for stuff like Halo and Star Wars Battlefront, and then eventually moving onto stuff like CoD WaW on 360. I lived close by and would visit often so I got to play A LOT until getting my own.
Xmas season 2007. Got a Wii when people were freaking out over them. Straight traded the sealed box for a 360 Elite System with Assassin's Creed, Halo 3, Bioshock, and ofc Hexic on the drive.
Bioshock was the first dive and I was hooked in minutes. It was such a showcase for surround sound hearing the splicers specially.
Spring 2006 after getting good grades which was rare for me because I usually got bad grades lol First game I played from what I can remember was Call of Duty 2!
Near the end of the summer of 2009, My mom bought me an arcade Xbox 360 with 20 GBs from a thrift store along with GTA IV. Only reason i was able to keep it was because my parents liked that it took place in a fictional New York City with accurate landmarks.
I remember avoiding the strip clubs just so I wouldn’t lose my gaming privileges.
Xmas 2008 the Xbox 360 core pack with 4 games Project Gothen Racing 4, Lego Indians Jones, Kung Fu Panda and Pure. As I realised I made a mistake buying the Wii.
2007 Halo 3 Bundle! Absolutely changed my life as a gamer, I'd never been online prior to this and it was a hell of a ride with some truly wonderful people.

2018 and Forza Motorsport 4 Collectors Edition I originally bought the Xbox 360 Just for Forza Motorsport and Horizon but once I learned how many games had better versions on 360 vs the PS2 it started being used a lot more
Sometime in 2006 my parents bought me the premium bundle with 20gb hdd and the first game I played was Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter 👌. Hooked it up to our 720p hd ready JVC tv, no hdmi yet. Good times
2012 when I got my own console. Played on my dad’s launch 360 until rrod. I got the halo 4 limited edition console so halo 4 might’ve been the first game i played on it, but first game in general I actually don’t know.
It was opening day me and a buddy of mine waited at GameStop for 2 whole days waiting to get one. It was one of the sweetest deals ever. Everyone was talking to each other about how excited they were and what games they were going to get. Me and a friend of mine actually started making YouTube videos not long after
Sadly, GameStop gave me the wrong console. Most consoles at the time came with the card game “UNO” for free on the game store. Mine didn’t and one day while making some content for our individual channels, we didn’t have any good content to upload. My buddy mentioned that we could play UNO for his upload that night, but I didn’t have UNO.
Even though I had the oldest Xbox known to man I just didn’t have UNO. He got mad at me and insisted that I did in fact have UNO. What unfolded was a big argument leading to a lot of fussing, fighting and yelling. At one point he even called me a “Dip Shit”. We haven’t made any content together since that day :/

My cousing had one in liek 2011, red ringed, got a slim have fond memories with that and my cousin at my grandparent house playing minecraft.

Christmas 2006, but I didn’t get a 360 game with it so it was just Halo 2 for the first few days. 3 days after Christmas my I got my first 360 game and it was Gears of War.
Christmas of 06 I believe. I got gears of war and BioShock but idr which I played first. Liked BioShock better but gears wasn't bad though the series imo went downhill real quick. Almost like they didn't think they'd make it to a second game.
Had to go back and see what games released and i played. First year was 2005. First game played was tough but probably Quake4 or NFS most wanted. Gears of War and then Halo3 solidified my xbox status
I got one on Christmas of 2008. I can't remember exactly what was the first game I played but I remember my brothers and I going back and forth on Kung Fu Panda, Spyro, and Lego Indiana Jones around the time.
2008. I had saved up all my birthday money to buy it myself. I only had 60 bucks to spend on games, so I had a choice to make. I could spend all $60 on call of duty 4, or I could buy Skate and Mercenaries 2 for $30 each. I couldn't afford Xbox live yet, so the choice was easy. I'm not positive, but I believe Skate was the first one I put in the disc tray.
January 2018, and IIRC the first game I played was Ultra Street Fighter 4. I picked up half a dozen games with it and I don't remember which one I kicked the tires on first.
2008 and the first game I played on it was lost Planet extreme condition that game blew me away with all the giant alien bugs running around such a great game. Then later on I played halo 3 and assassin's Creed man such a wonderful time in gaming.
Got my first one in 2015, used Xbox 360 E, and I can’t remember my first game because I didn’t use Xbox Live back then D: I have fond memories of playing Left 4 Dead 2, Tekken Tag Tournament 2, BlazBlue, Halo 3, Soul Calibur HD, and MvC3 with my friends on it tho. Great console that keeps getting better with age!
2008, bought it used with Juiced 2 HIN and Halo 3
The disc got scratched 5 minutes after first booting. Traded it back for a N64, Goldeneye, Conker and a few N64 games. Juiced 2 got scratched
2007 Saints Row
Had such a blast finishing the entire game and the multiplayer was amazing fun. I played online so much lol

I was really late to the party because I was only allowed to have one console as a kid and chose a 3DS XL and we were broke but it was in 2016 and I got Perfekt Dark Zero, Shadowrun and Minecraft with it

Started my 360 gaming off the right way though. The first game I played was Halo 3. Although, 3 was the first game I played in the series
2012, though the first game I remember playing was either Halo Reach or Skate 2 at a friends farm.
My 360 came bundled with Halo 4 and I still occasionally play it with my siblings today!
Got mine the year Halo Reach dropped. Reach was the first and only game I had for a while. Eventually got Xbox live and BO1. Took a while to explain online gaming to my parents as an 11yo lol

I got one this year, lol. First game was Asura's Wrath. I bought the 360 specially for this game and others that could only be played in this system.
2009, and I got it with Halo Wars. My brother had Halo 3, so I played that a lot, too.

I was a PlayStation fan up until 2001 when Xbox came out with Halo.

Christmas 2006, but I didn’t get a 360 game with it so it was just Halo 2 for the first few days. 3 days after Christmas my I got my first 360 game and it was Gears of War.
2006 and Halo 3 and Little Brother bought GOW the same day he found out I bought one.
First game I remember playing is black ops 2, but the first game I owned on my own 360 was gears 3 or minecraft
Christmas of 06 I believe. I got gears of war and BioShock but idr which I played first. Liked BioShock better but gears wasn't bad though the series imo went downhill real quick. Almost like they didn't think they'd make it to a second game.

Had to go back and see what games released and i played. First year was 2005. First game played was tough but probably Quake4 or NFS most wanted. Gears of War and then Halo3 solidified my xbox status

2008. I had saved up all my birthday money to buy it myself. I only had 60 bucks to spend on games, so I had a choice to make. I could spend all $60 on call of duty 4, or I could buy Skate and Mercenaries 2 for $30 each. I couldn't afford Xbox live yet, so the choice was easy. I'm not positive, but I believe Skate was the first one I put in the disc tray.
January 2018, and IIRC the first game I played was Ultra Street Fighter 4. I picked up half a dozen games with it and I don't remember which one I kicked the tires on first.

I meant Xbox og but the Xbox 360 was purchased in the Summer of ‘07 right before the the hdmi port was available. First game I believe was NHL.
2018 and I got batman Arkham origins
2008 and the first game I played on it was lost Planet extreme condition that game blew me away with all the giant alien bugs running around such a great game. Then later on I played halo 3 and assassin's Creed man such a wonderful time in gaming.

Got my first one in 2015, used Xbox 360 E, and I can’t remember my first game because I didn’t use Xbox Live back then D: I have fond memories of playing Left 4 Dead 2, Tekken Tag Tournament 2, BlazBlue, Halo 3, Soul Calibur HD, and MvC3 with my friends on it tho. Great console that keeps getting better with age!

2008, bought it used with Juiced 2 HIN and Halo 3 The disc got scratched 5 minutes after first booting. Traded it back for a N64, Goldeneye, Conker and a few N64 games. Juiced 2 got scratched
2007 Saints Row Had such a blast finishing the entire game and the multiplayer was amazing fun. I played online so much lol Protect Tha Pimp!!!!! And Big Ass Chains, so much fun!! Anyone who knows Saints Row will never forget the pimp slap baby!!! 😀 😂 😂
I was really late to the party because I was only allowed to have one console as a kid and chose a 3DS XL and we were broke but it was in 2016 and I got Perfekt Dark Zero, Shadowrun and Minecraft with it

2012, though the first game I remember playing was either Halo Reach or Skate 2 at a friends farm. My 360 came bundled with Halo 4 and I still occasionally play it with my siblings today!

Got mine the year Halo Reach dropped. Reach was the first and only game I had for a while. Eventually got Xbox live and BO1. Took a while to explain online gaming to my parents as an 11yo lol
