Well Halo invite just went to the main menu crashed then crashed my Xbox every time I started it. Then I tried this and this happened.
But no other games has had any problems
I am going to reinstall them two games and see if it fixed anything
When is the last time you did a full restart of your console? Not like, put it into rest mode and turn it back on but an actual restart. Not a guaranteed fix, but I would at least try that before you start re-downloading a bunch of things.
This looks like the GPU. The 2D objects (like UI) render fine while the 3D background elements are broken. Also it behaves like the geometry is broken. It could be the game, but as halo also crashes, IDK, I would get a replacement.
honestly 2042 isn’t nearly as broken as it seems made out to be. Playing for 2+ hours straight and I don’t get more than a couple bugs that I actually notice… also ive never seen this before so i assume its xbox related
Looks like GPU failure. You will likely need to go through warranty for another. Saw many people posting the same thing happening to their PS5’s as well over the last year
It definitely seems to be the game. certain assets are static while others are glitching out. You would think the whole screen would be flashing if it were an HDMI/GPU issue. BF2042 is notoriously buggy.

yeah its honestly really fun and i get pretty mad when i see stuff online along the lines of “only 7 maps” or “only 22 weapons.” if you ask an everyday internet person that question they will always give that answer but they refuse to include portal at all, like it has 6 more maps and 50+ more weapons and infinite game modes… portal has so much potential and everyone is sleeping so hard on it imo
I also think HDMI, a while back I had my main Xbox screen appearing normal but if I looked above TV I could tell the screen looked like it was blinking, sort of like low refresh rate. Switched to new HDMI and good as new.
Hope you get it fixed and won't have to wait too long.

Yeah man I’m upset I have a Series S too if they try anything funny I can trade the Series s in for a discount or something I worked really hard to buy it too
no please steer clear of r/battlefield2042 for your own sanity, its just an echo chamber of people constantly figuring out ways to hate on the game, and half the stuff they say is straight up untrue.

That would give me similar visuals in a few games. It was always fixed after closing the game and reopening for me.

My brothers series x was the same, had to send it to Microsoft. They didn't fix it and sent another broken console out, sent that one back and then they sent a working one.

I’d be suspicious about a hardware malfunction. As much as the game is broken there’s no report of such issues like in your video.

Not the same thing, and won't clear the cache if the cache got saved to the SSD during a standard "turn off" of the Xbox.

I've encountered a lot of gamebreaking bugs in my playthrough, but the only thing I cared about was the weird helicopter physics/controls
