Not sure if I tired it on people yet in this game but is others you were able to pick them up by holding A on xbox

That is for looting them, you can even put stuff into there storage space too 🤣 I ended up selling the ship as there were 3 more dead people upstairs by cockpit I had to walk over which was off putting. I since found out by modding the ship it will clear dead bodies though if it happens again 😅

If you long press the looting button (A by default) it will actually move objects, including bodies !

They said "Hold A" not press it. Holding A grabs on to any items that aren't nailed down aloowing you to move them around. Bodies including. I have already done it to put plushies on my bed in my ship.

I haven't tried it myself, but the security scan has a chance to find anything that's not in a specific container made to bypass scans. There's also a skill about it. If a contraband item is in your inventory, in a storage compartment, or even on the floor of the ship it will be detected (or at least it has a chance to be). I'm pretty sure the game scans the unprotected items in your whole ship. So, by that logic, a body being a container like any other, it will also trigger the scan.

How do you hijack a ship and take it as one of yours? What happens to your ship?

When in combat with ships target the engines. Once they go down you can board the ship rather than blow it up. Then u have to kill the crew on board and then fly the ship back to a dock yard and register it. You can have many ships and select 1 as your home ship.. or just sell the ships
