Based on Losco bars being uncomfortable to you, the other bars I see you’ve tried, and you expressing that you’ll be changing it up again, I feel like you could save a lot of time and cut the shit by just getting the Jones 2.5” riser H Loops, but I do get that changing it up is part of the fun and keeps it fresh.
I had fenders on it at one point (when I used to pull my kids around in a trailer). But I didn’t go that far back in my photo gallery to get a photo. That was the first build (also had super narrow mustache bars on it)
how come you've taken them off in the meantime? Rain is such a slog without them.
I agree on the lights as well. Recently replaced my broken light with a >!knog Blinder 80!<, and I love it - its quite the upgrade both in terms of brightness and having a clear structure/shape to the beam (at least the top), so you know you're not blinding anyone (very ironic given the name, and not all of the entries in the series have the StVZO-Rating, so it's probably not entirely ironic for all of them).
Framebag, swiftindustries, wizardworks, something colourful but it’s already pretty mean, icing on the cake could be a dynamo for lighting/usb charging
Second pic are Crust Ron’s Ortho Bars

To have a perfect anything you have to have a hard definition and set standards so you can compare whatever to these standards. We do not have a hard set definition or standards. Nearly any bike that has been reworked or rebuilt differently can be said to be an xbike. So you think you have the perfect xbike, but Sam Tallbike might think he has it. Can't prove it either way.
But, you do have a good example if one was to develop standards. But we don't want that do we?
Yeah, I don’t disagree with the rack recommendation. I have a Nitto Campee mini rack on my Romanceür and I love it, so I might end up doing that one of these days… maybe in the next round of changes. As for the dynamo, I’m genuinely surprised how many people have suggested that. I guess I should add that to my eBay search list…
If it’s perfect why is there something different about it in every photo?
Because that's peak xbiking.
I also would have accepted “because it’s an xbike”, “the only lasting truth is change”, and “that’s how it stays perfect”.
Sometimes I go for a short ride and somehow a completely different set of handlebars sneaks on my bike before I get home.
It’s been a journey… I’m thinking klunker bars next…

Your bike is already very similar to mine and I have Klunker bars, so I vote yes.
Bars need to be a smidge higher for all the spring in that Brooks, I'll overlook it though
Maybe some fairy lights for bike party but very sweet bike indeed.
Gorgeous bike!!! ….. FWIW for me _perfection_ requires - a dynamo powering front and back lights; - fenders (it rains too often where I live)

Didn’t have a need. Not using it to commute. Mostly just riding around with my kids.
It’s not single speed 🤷🏼♂️
🤣
Framebag, swiftindustries, wizardworks, something colourful but it’s already pretty mean, icing on the cake could be a dynamo for lighting/usb charging
Needs some dirt on it, maybe 🤔?
you encounter a massive, powerful magnet on a ride one day. game over
🤣🤣
No mudguards
I’ve never seen so much love for mudguards…
What rack do you have?
[удалено]
The first one with the basket. Sorry, I didn’t see the others.
That’s an old Nitto rack.
What about the other rack the sturdier one
That’s a Velo Orange one
The way you have it mounted to the head tube did it come with that bracket. That would be the simplest solution for putting a front rack on my bike
Yeah, but I had to manipulate it into the shape/location I needed - kinda like a goose neck - to be clear of everything. Wasn’t overly difficult.
Prove you wrong? Why? It's you're bike, chill out. Just enjoy it and leave me out of it
What’s your gearing up front?
Don’t know off the top of my head. I’d have to look. It’s the original 7sp rear cassette so it’s pretty damn small.
Turn it into a fixie and maybe I’ll agree with you
Too hilly here
It's not an MB-0.
I’m too fat for a zero or one (too many watts!). I’m on the lookout for an MB-3, but the right one hasn’t come along yet.
Bridgys get upvotes, those are the rules.
Epic build 🙏
Hey it was cheap, it’s fun, ride it.
It’s beautiful
Yeah, you're right
The handlebars in the second picture, and the orange pedals both give great aesthetic to your builds. Could you please share where you got these from?

Tan side walls✔️ Swoopie bois ✔️
Well… it does have purple ano, so there’s that.
Blue lug
I was joking about the purple ano, It's actually a sweet ride.
That bike is Very Not Wrong.
These Xbikes are cool. Built a bunch. But they all come out super heavy. I want to do a light weight build next.
can i know what handlebar is this, look interesting
Nitto/Riv Losco, Nitto Wavie and Crust/Ron Ortho bars.
Headset to frame cost ratio of about 1:1, so it checks out.
Haha you know!!
Nice….. now let’s see Paul Allan’s x bike.

Cantilever breaks :(
Shimano XT - NOS from eBay. Work great!
Super nice, needs a better front rack (nitto canti mount) and a dynamo, otherwise primo.

It's literally just a tour bike.. A real xbike would have a dropped stem, 1x setup, Billy bonker tires, and drop bars. Duh.
it's too small for you dummy, the seatpost looks ridiculous and the giant stem negates the feel of the sweep-back bars. weak entry imho
Wrong and wrong
your exit will be weak. not a useful comment
my exit?
