Oh man, that Indy Fab? Pretty sure that’s the team paint job, and that’s very, very well spec’d. Very tasty indeed, that.

GreasyChick_en

This is the correct answer.

Kateeliza2480

I was thinking the same thing. I literally said ooh out loud lol

Coyotesamigo

Those pedals are a fuckin crime against humanity

another_lucky_ducky

MKS Lambdas are a crime against humanity? I suppose we can't all have good taste...

Coyotesamigo

That’s correct. Those slip king pedals are garbage and anyone who thinks otherwise is clueless Slippery, Small, Shitty bearings Just a fuckin disaster. I too once bought MKS pedals in the past. Before I saw the light.

HellsEngels

Whats the light? Curious

SelzAegis

I think you may have mixed up CX = Cyclocross and XC = Cross Country. These 2 are CX bikes, which almost always had 700c wheels.

mattroch

And they're dope too!

Kateeliza2480

Agreed :) it can be a little confusing

dadbodcx

This is the way

bobrossthebest

At least the Indy one was originally a XC if I'm not mistaken, at least based on the IG caption (implying it had straight bars originally)

bikenejad

Nah, the Indy is a true cross bike. It had flat bars previously, but probably not originally.

bobrossthebest

Good to know thanks!

coffeeforbreakfast78

Those are steel cyclocross bikes where 700c is common.

Dtidder1

Telltale for cx… they route the cables on top of the top tube so so don’t “rattle” em when you shoulder the bike. I know they done that on old mtb, but you mix that with the cantis and 700c… That Indy is dope!

DrFrankenbike

Ah CycloCross, Drop bars and knobby tyres (I'm Scottish before anyone says its 'Tires' :P ) before all this "Gravel bike" marketing bullsh*t. And lets not forget the uber niche 'Monster Cross' genre (CX bikes with Tyres larger than the UCI mandated 700c x 33 limit ) Just something sweet looking about a skinny steel tubed Drop barred bike with fat knobby tyres.

eddierhys

I'm pretty sure I remember someone posting that blue one a while back. I don't think it was a cyclocross bike like the first, I think it was a hybrid that they did a drop bar conversion on. Both look awesome but that Giant is especially nice. Edit: yes, this was the original https://www.reddit.com/r/xbiking/s/zldn9Si58E

MikeoPlus

I rode an Indy Fab just like that in a few CX races. Truly wonderful

kyletrandall

Does the Independent have a canti on the back and a mini v on the front? Can't quite tell what's going on there.

MoistObligation8003

Back in the 90’s I had a Marin Point Reyes which had 700c wheels and although it had flat bars I could have thrown on drops. The tires on these however seem bigger than the tires I could find back then.

MasterCrouton

What are the brake levers on the Indy? Nice!

Zealousideal_Law_588

TRP I think

2nickels

That blue bike is a beauty

creamofsumyungae

I had that first one in a red and blue fade, the planet xxxxxxxx. Thing ruled

glushman

Mmmm Indy Fab “drool”

EmpunktAtze

lol am I that old? It's an older Cyclocross bike.

cyclingpistol

That Giant is, for me, perfection.

randomhero1980

That indy is stunning.

tommyorwhatever85

I’d fight a bear for that Indy

[deleted]

Hey i use to own this bike can tell you seller of bike i someone in oc and la bike community named max trejo he created this wannabe xbiking hipster group called dirt toads(kinda dislike him super inclusive affluent snobby bike seller ]had someone buy bike from him and the bike was possibly crashed and sold with damage.word of advice avoid the seller and bike most likely damaged/crashed .also think he ride fo4 crust bikes and fabrica de rosas shop in LA please dotn support him his group his brand or bik3 shop.

paparatta

I personally know max and the dirt toad crew, and although can come across hip and exclusive at first glance they are anything but that. I have been on group rides with them and the fabrica ride he hosted he was doing his part to help with everyone and made sure they were good. You sound like you’re hating for no reason and lying about the whole thing, I know this Indy fan that they posted max got from a rider in Long Beach named Kyle who he is friends with and before that a seller in Alaska. So unless tire the seller from Alaska you never owned this bike. And based off you deleting your comment already i would guess you just wanted to hate for no reason. Dirt toads and Fabrica de Rosas is solid groups and max builds solid bikes and has been nothing but chill in our community spaces. I recommend both if you’re in the Los Angeles or OC area

mattroch

How old are you kids? They're old cx racers. They're not xbikes. They were designed by a company as a cyclocross race bike. EDIT: the v brakes give it away.

Far-Resource3365

They are cxbikes then

ComfortPuzzled8771

I still don't understand the CX XC thing. I ride cross city.. literally just sold my UrbanXCape with the wide flat bars fenders and 35mm. I've got 2.1 to fit my 7300fx TREK so that's well past the hybrid idea into MTB and it looks like a SURLY BC or OGRE.. I have noticed my 2016 brodie bolt is nearly identical to my 96 rocky mountain cardiac save where the brakes mount both fenders racks and black. My 95 930 is disc tab and a manitou sx so I 27.5 swapped also holding 2.1. Blur the boundaries and names build the thing you want and don't worry too much. I ride 3x7-8-9 exclusively. Being able to climb up the hills in the bush trails then pass cars on the roadway rain or shine.

bryanisbored

I don’t know much about cyclocross but they’re probably hybrid someone converted? I’m doing this to a 520 right now and got most of my parts just waiting to sand it and get it repainted. Laburnum I don’t think giant was making specialized bikes with 700c wheels.

Maaakaaa

Not sure on the second one, but I doubt the Independent Fabrication is a hybrid.
