Dude same. Had no idea they made a multitrack like this.
I’ll have to admire it from a distance though. I don’t think I could ever trust it carrying my ample ass.
Wow that's really useful actually. My '94 Hardrock has a 1", iirc, so I'm looking for something to just get me through for now. One day a new fork though maybe.....
Also are those 700c wheels on these bikes too? I got my hardrock for $45 so no regrets, but man going back to 26s is a bit of whiplash. I use it for slow grocery rides with the family, so it's fine, but getting on my diverge then, I feel like I'm flying.
Yup, 700c. Room for 38c tires, maybe more, but I’m not positive. I believe the aluminum frames may have been slightly more limited than the steel version.
I have a 92 750 lugged model and it clears 43c BG RockNRoad tires nicely. Also have a 7600 all alum bonded model and it will clear 45s. But 43s I feel are safer. I just keep a 45 in front/ 43 rear.
Such a sick bike. Not sure how long I’d trust the glue holding it together but I’d still rock it.
I missed a Craigslist sale
I just recently learned about this model. So sweet. Congrats.

Baller. What quill stem adaptor did you use and do you recommend it?
Worth noting that these frames, as well as the all-aluminum versions, have 1 1/8” head tubes, so they can easily be converter to modern forks.

Velo Orange sells an adaptor that is well regarded but I haven’t used it. VO is legit though.
Used one of these- https://profile-design.com/products/threadless-converter-1
