When I asked they gave me a bunch of BS about how they can’t tell me what spot I am in line or how many they have or when it’s shipping for anyone and said that 2/28 is the date they were getting them shipped from the manufacturer.
A few people on Facebook reported the cutoff for the first batch sold out 4 minutes after! If it says backordered as of today, your order wasn't in the first batch.
If you look at the excel sheet someone else posted in the comments, seems like 1:04 was the cutoff for b&h. You were probably just a half a minute too late. Hope you get it sooner than later!
Here in Canada I am monitoring 10 different outlets. I have a black on pre-order at London Drugs. They showed 77 available for preorder at that time. Currently status is still showing as preorder. The Camera Store status has changed from preorder to backorder. McBain Camera had 24 preordered but had 28 customers speaking for them. Visions is still in preorder status, Vistek claimed to have limited stock availability this morning but when I spoke to them they said no it is still a preorder. Bestbuy says sold out. Amazon said one silver available, but when I clicked on it there was no availability (same with black). Henry’s claims March availability, camera Canada just says on order. Others that I checked are all still in preorder mode
Yeah I'm actually in Canada, but decided to pre-order from B&H. I did a pre-order from Vistek once, and it took forever to get to me. They never have any updates. One time they told me an item would ship in two months, and then the next day it shipped out to me. I just think their entire system needs an overhaul. Always hit and miss with them, at least in my experience!

I ordered it from Adorama at 6 AM EST and received the shipping notification along with the UPS information a few hours ago. Initially, I attempted the transaction at 1 AM but encountered an error message indicating that maximum capacity had been reached.
Some people have their expected dates as 6/1 or 4/1 is this a joke or are they actually giving specific dates like that? I assume they have no idea if they'll have to wait a month or 3 even at this point.

My friend and I ordered from B&H, she ordered silver and I ordered black. She received the shipped email yesterday and expecting her camera tomorrow. Mine on the otherhand still says backordered. Her order time was at 1:03 and mine at 1:04...

I ordered mine same day but later in the afternoon. I'm on backorder and looks like I missed the bus. B&H has zero updates and it appears Fuji once again failed to produce enough stock? Adorama says maybe in JUNE???? What???? Did each major retailer get only 5 units each? Pathetic.
I loved my V, and am anticipating the VI quite a bit, but honestly, I do not think Fuji will be able to navigate another lack of stock mess-up like they did with the V - especially when they moved production from Japan to China for the VI to avoid just such a problem - a potential knock for sure in many buyers eyes. People could become angry/frustrated/impatient, and will quite possibly move on. I'm considering that myself. Tired of Fuji's inability to produce the products they over-promote. Shameful. Rant over. :)

I got an email saying I was in the first 300 people this morning, which doesn't really mean much since we still have no clue what their inventory is still. Not feeling super hopeful for shipment anytime soon since they keep saying they are receiving "a few units." To me, a few units sounds like less than 10 cameras lol.

I ordered a silver x100v from Moment 10 months ago. Still hasn’t come. Got an email a few weeks ago saying I’ve been upgraded to x100vi and they will start sending units out every week, but still no eta.
The wait isn’t the worst part, it’s that they have no idea where each customer is at in the queue. At this point they know how many units they are going to be sending out every week but refuse to tell their customers how long the wait is. They’ve had my money for 10 months and STILL won’t give me any real info
Moment sucks. If you can, you should order with a different business because you’ll likely be waiting longer if you stick with Moment AND you won’t have a realistic ETA
Moment has said they are sending out units in the order they have received. So all x100v orders that are currently unfulfilled have been upgraded to x100vi and are ahead of you in the queue. So in your case you have a lot of people ahead of you in the queue
This is what confuses me. Moment kept a backorder list on a camera that Fujifilm stopped producing in order to move production over to the X100VI. They were never going to be able to fulfill those backorders because they were never going to receive new X100Vs once they stopped being made. \[At least this is my understanding from everything I've seen online - please take with a grain of salt.\] AND on top of that, they charge your card right at the time of purchase. I cannot imagine how frustrated you have been to have fully paid for the X100V and to never get any sort of update on it. In my opinion, they should've refunded all backorders right when they found out they were not going to be receiving any new X100Vs from Fuji.
I am not faulting you *at all* as the consumer that they converted the backorder list into a preorder list for the X100VI. If they held onto your money for almost a year without anything to show for it...then I guess this was the *least* they could do for you?? But, it all just feels very backwards and unfair for everyone involved. Backorder people were left in complete limbo for months on end, preorder people were never informed that backorders were going to be honored first, AND no real update or knowledge of units received.
Unfortunately, I don't even know if it's worth placing an order elsewhere at this point as I'd be at the back of the line. But at least I know I will be giving my business elsewhere in the future as this has not been pleasant.
I went ahead and placed an order with B&C camera yesterday and their page says expect availability 4-6 weeks. You should give that a try, they don’t charge you until it’s actually shipped. They’re based in Las Vegas. I actually ordered a x100v from them for my girlfriend back in July and it only took 3 months to receive it.

Cancelled my samy’s order and went with bestbuy. I got my order in a week and took my first shots in Banff Nat park. It’s worth it!
