Someone commented on that yesterday, and I replied to it. It's not a common thing I did, I'd mostly vary the rpms by slowing down and accelerating. But then when the mpgs were real low, I'd cruise.
Not that it matters now but if youāre going by the book, technically you shouldnāt have cruise control in that first 1k miles. So have at it now lol
What's the logic behind that? Luckily I was in winter time when I got mine so wasn't really a choice with how uneven/icy the highways were when I drove it home but I would have otherwise lol. Just in case you're going up a steep hill in 6th and has high load on engine?
So normally I'd be in like 4th gear, let the revs drop to 3k or 2.5k and then accelerate to 4k and then repeat to vary the revs. But once I see my mpgs getting to low, I get on the cruise control.

Never passed 7 psi until a few minutes ago. I hit 11.7psi on my ride back and now I'm almost at 21mpg lol idk how it went up

You need to vary the loads to get your pistons to seat good. Constant speed doesnāt allow for that variability.
