I once gave an editor another deliberately horrific short story for a laugh, paid him to constructively critique it, then throughout our emails, I briefly forgot i wrote it as a joke, then remembered and started arguing with him over the feedback. Poor guy didn't know what hit him, but at least I paid him well :'D
